Baby gros much better than clothes

Why do people dress newborn babies in 'proper clothes' My baby has been living in baby gros and at 3 months I plan to continue for some time. I will get some short rompers for the summer.

I was bought some outfits, but only worn once, trousers were tight and uncomfy- left elastic marks on baby and hes not particularly wide.

Babies nap quite a bit and have a ridiculous amount of nappy changes. Surely baby grows are much more practical and suitable.

You might find as your baby gets more active, sleep suits are a pain in the Arse. My baby ends up with both legs down one leg holes so it's leggings all the way here now he's 6m+

Because i wouldnt go out in my pyjamas- so why should my child?

I've often wondered this, not so much for 2 months onwards but for newborns. DD2 is almost 2 months old, she's still in them all day for now. She'll probably start wearing outfits in the summer.

I do think little babies look adorable in sleep suits, but mine mostly just wear them for bed and not during the day. The million poppers get pretty tedious on a baby that’s trying to get away from you. I prefer a long sleeved vest and trousers. I have some trousers with built in feet that I love as then no socks needed!
