My 8 month old just licked and mouthed a public changing table. Confused

He's a wriggly nightmare and will not lie on his back for love or money EVER

I changed him on his front whilst he was screaming the house down and I realised he had his open mouth on the changing table as if forgot to put our mat down arghhh

Will he get really sick? It was the grimmest changing room oh god

I used to dig up cigarette butts that had been buried in the sand at the beach and eat them. They don't seem to have done me any harm.

My daughter ate a scab off of the floor of a doctor's waiting room. She survived! Envy Grin

My son took a huge bite of horse poo. I told him not to do that again but neglected to rid his mouth of said poop. He's my fourth! Grin

DS at 18mo was at the pet farm and picked up a grubby carrot from the rabbits's trough. He nibbled away on it, wandering about, offering bites to all passing rabbits, all of whom happily accepted. This probiotic extravaganza was only brought to a close when an emu leaned over the fence and took the rest of the carrot.

I love this thread! Grin
DD also licked a public changing table and a pub loo mid nappy change... I cried both times (PFB, obvs.) and she has been fine, both times.
Kids are gross.

Ds likes to slurp water from the dogs bowl and has even on occasion been caught eating his food

He stuck his hand down the toilet and then straight in his mouth

I couldn't put the shopping in the boot in the car so I foolishly put it on the back seat next to ds only to find him munching on a green chilli pepper when I stopped

Before the cupboard locks arrived I would find him eating lots of random things like dry pasta, cup of soup (without the water), stock cubes

Dd licked a shower curtain in a camp site.

My DS painted our toilet with a toilet brush and not only that but I didn't even notice he had done it until some time afterwards so have no idea if he had it on his hands or body or hair cringe and boke at the same time when he ate his dinner. The shame

Brown76 · 13/06/2017 23:05

Emptied out a bucket that had a tiny bit of water in the bottom and licked it off the floor. The bucket is the one I use to soak the baby's poo stained vests.

Trying not to wake 6 month old DD laughing whilst reading these
I failed Grin

Waddlelikeapenguin · 13/06/2017 23:29

DD2 stood outside "cuddling" a slug- her solution to the slug juice all over her hands was to lick them. Third child so I sighed & offered to wash her hands Grin

(The slug didnt make it.)

My DS once licked a mouldy dog poo he found in a wood. I thought he was holding a stick.

I remember drinking from the lovely stream that trickled merrily by my grandma's house. Ie the stormwater drain that ran from the streets up the hill, into the river...

My sister also fed me an aged relative's bottle of digoxin tablets when I was 3. I had to have my stomach pumped at A&E, but was fine...Confused

RainbowTortoise · 14/06/2017 07:57

My daughter ate a snail when she was about 8 months old. She did sick some of it up as the shell got caught in her throat. Yuk, still makes me cringe!

flumpybear · 14/06/2017 08:07

My DD used to lick pram wheels and soles of shoes !! ConfusedHmm

StumpyScot92 · 14/06/2017 11:08

Pregnant with my first and I don't know if reading this thread was a brilliant or awful idea... Currently simultaneously laughing and gagging. Oh what have I got myself in for...

CryingMessFFS · 14/06/2017 11:12

DS did a poo on the potty while I was having a wee in the bathroom (he was in the living room with his potty). I came back to baby DD age about 9 months eating a handful of DSs shit. I was so worried at the time but she was totally fine!

leafleaflet · 14/06/2017 19:03

Argggghhh should stop reading these before my dinner!! Hahaha

The toilet duck disc and the scab! The scab!!!! Actually made me want to puke, yeuch!! The changing table seems v tame now!

I used to pick chewing gum up off the street and eat it.... even the ones all walked into the ground Blushand I can remember doing it so clearly not that young Confused

paddypants13 · 15/06/2017 14:43

I forgot to say that ds used to attempt to eat from the cat litter quite regularly. He succeeded a few time too.

coldcanary · 15/06/2017 14:48

When they start moving kids are gross little creatures Grin
Buggy wheels, sand, various floors - my 3 have done them all. DD2 did once try to groom her grandparents cat. By cleaning said cat in exactly the same way she would do it herself, ie licking her.
Put it this way, she's my third. I just rolled my eyes and got the hair off her tongue while grandma freaked out a little..
