Yer great big Jesse....

Noooooooooo

gorgonzolasouffle · 08/03/2007 22:45

what was your girls name?

Just being nosey!

Baysmum · 08/03/2007 22:45

I love Joss but worry it sounds too much like the nice but v popular Josh. I already have a ds with unusual name (see my posting name for large clue)! and swore I would chose a more 'normal' name this time around!

I really like it.

Glad this is your thread, Baysmum - looks like you're getting there

(You're not Kirstie Allsop are you?! )

edam · 08/03/2007 22:46

I do like it but fear it would lead to trouble. Northern thing is interesting - the only man called Jesse I've ever come across was a Yorkshireman who lived near Barnsley. May be generational though as he was ancient in the 80s.

Baysmum · 08/03/2007 22:46

Girls name was Thea (sob)

I love it

Stiller · 08/03/2007 22:46

I love it, but wouldn't use it because of 'you're a great big Jessie' (as MD just pointed out).

tortoiseSHELL · 08/03/2007 22:46

I think I like it - my first thought was 'lovely', then I thought I wasn't so sure, but I think I do like it. And the most important thing is that YOU love it!

Baysmum · 08/03/2007 22:48

Thanks hunkermunker - am trying to be constructive about this and bond with the little blighter! Love people mistaking me for the great Kirstie Allsop but unfortunately I am not she (though live in same area - spooky)! I also named my son Bay before she had her whopper!

I agree that it's a great name but there's still something stopping me from saying yes. I was going to suggest a name I heard the other day which I loved but now I know what your other son is called I don't think it would be suitable. Tam

Milliways · 08/03/2007 22:48

It reminds me of "A boy named Sue"!

However, I do like the name.

Ceolas · 08/03/2007 22:48

Nice as a baby and toddler, but I fear he may hate you for it as he grows older.

I love, love, love it! It was our boy choice (and I, even started a thread on here angsting about the same problem). I think you can get away with it in the south more than the north, unfortunatley

Troutpout · 08/03/2007 22:49

I love it

oh do it... or you'll regret it.

Feel v like a lot of you - like it BUT.... Come on then any other suggestions for an unuaual but not too unusual name that goes with Bay and a surname beginning with G?? Come on, I need cheering up (and please dont mention Thea - am gutted cant use it)!

cinnamontam · 08/03/2007 22:50

Such a shame - you'd get away with it in Australia cause calling someone a 'Jessie' just doesn't exist there. As a phrase i mean

noddyholder · 08/03/2007 22:51

mental cruelty I don't think my ds would agree All his friends think it is really cool.I love it
