ANY OTHER FORCES WIVES OUT THERE?

Just been chatting with 3andnomore on another thread and wondered if there are any more of us on mumsnet who would like a chat and a comforting moan? I am on my own atm - hubby away for 4 months, and would love to swap 'home alone with the kids' stories - good and bad, and also a good gossip about the other wives we are left with! A much safer outlet for frustration than the hive!

Hi, just saw thread in email and just found out today that DH is off to Iraq in 2 weeks. We have a DD who is nearly 2 and number 2 is due in Aug. DH is in the navy (portsmouth) but has "joined" the army for the next few months. We were in London for a while but have moved back home to just north of Edinburgh, have decided that DH will try commuting at weekends when he can!
Just need someone than l can moan to at the mo but would really love a VERY large glass of wine!!!

wow! nearly up to 400 messages. Incredible. Feeling bad bad bad today. MW told me this morning I have a high colonisation of Group B strep (32 weeks with no 3. Then she wondered why i started to cry. I felt like saying, you stupid woman don't you remember that Dh is away for 4 months, not likely to get back in time for birth as he is 15 hours away, and I have already been warned I may be prem, so we can't plan for it. Also, how the hell I am supposed to relax about this in Germany when the whole birth thing over here is new to me? Oh, and I've still got PND from the last one, btw. sorry guys - that was a virtual rant at her, not you all, but for the first time since DH is away, I want him back badly badly to give me a hug. Trying not to cry all over the boys in my hormonal state - life's confusing enough for them at the moment without watching mummy dissolve.
