ANY OTHER FORCES WIVES OUT THERE?

Just been chatting with 3andnomore on another thread and wondered if there are any more of us on mumsnet who would like a chat and a comforting moan? I am on my own atm - hubby away for 4 months, and would love to swap 'home alone with the kids' stories - good and bad, and also a good gossip about the other wives we are left with! A much safer outlet for frustration than the hive!

ooh scooter - when DH came home he had 5 weks off, I swear to god after 10 days (I ahd 2 weeks with him) I wwent into work just to sit there and gossip to my mates! lol - he qwas doing my head in that much I actually took the fire apart to clean it lol.

2+1 have a good day tomorrow, will be thinking of you all, and hope DH is safe and sound

Let's use LOADS of TLAs (that's three letter abbreviations to you unititiated civvies lurking on here...)

munz · 06/02/2007 18:58

might be good yes - I suppose most things can be pretty easy for us to work out given the context?

I'm sure the boys just use them to make themselves sound good! Yes, am dreading the enormous PTL (post-tour leave)...

munz · 06/02/2007 19:04

yes I know DH keeps on about the xyz and the bfg's and god knows what else - he gets rather annoyed thou when I take the micky and ask about his day witht eh cde's and the hyz's! lol.

good luck with the leave! do you ahve anything nice planned? the first week is nice but then it gets a bit much! lol.

Scootergirl · 06/02/2007 19:06

yes but is v v cheeky the cheeky little men! I had a good mind to get out of the car and say erm excuse me! lol.

naturally I came home and asked DH to ring teh guard room and tell them there was some horrid little recruits (sorry I hate the word sprog) loitering around the med centre and they should be moved on/agi'ed but DH told me not to be so silly and if they cuaght me speeding (which I might add i've v careful not to) then the car would have to be left at teh bottom of black lane cos the CO is fussy about speeding on camp. more ot the point i'd get another 3 points for speeding

Good morning! How are we all this morning? Twoplusone - only 1 sleep to go I am trying to get bloody car tax for our cars and having loads of hassle and now the insurance on one has expired and althoguh we've renewed it in traditional cyp style the paperwork hasn't come through!! AAARRRGGGHH but apart from that life is quite good.

The sun has come out and it's stopped raining

DD came home yesterdsay and announced she is a tree in her Pre School play next Wednesday!! I asked her what she had to do she said stand very still and not say anything - stupid question really! She's happy particularily because the play is on her birthday

Laura - where abouts r u in cornwall?

My dh is Navy also. He is based at culdrose but we live on the Redruth married patch.

We're one of the lucky ones as have been here 5 years. Dh doesn't really get posted as he works on the merlins. Although, obviously he has to do his sea time, when it comes up.

We have 3 girls 4, 3 and 7 months.

I feel for those of you who get moved around a lot.

Laura032004 · 07/02/2007 09:14

pinkdolly - We're in Helston, on the quarters patch opposite Flambards. What sqn is your DH on? Mine has just left 824.
