I think it's your scales - I can't imagine she's gained 12 pounds in 2 months. I would see what your HV says and go from there.

Incidentally, is she still in an infant carrier style car seat?

titchy · 15/06/2015 20:53

So in 8 weeks she's put on almost a stone. Either you're talking bollocks or you've just put her on normal household scales which are not accurate below three stone.

If you are real then take her to your clinic. Not sure why you posted to be honest - you said you knew it wasn't normal.

Lozobham23 · 15/06/2015 20:53

I'm afraid it's the truth ,this is why I'm so deeply worried

How did you determine her weight, Lozo? Is it possible the numbers have gone wrong, and shes 1st 7?

titchy · 15/06/2015 20:55

Then take her to the clinic ffs. Not a lot anyone here can do.

chippednailvarnish · 15/06/2015 20:55

Welcome to MN OP.

So your 7 month old baby has increased her weight by 13lbs in 2 months and you've not had any idea that she might be gaining weight a little too fast. No idea that her clothes are getting a tiny bit tight?

Hmmmm.

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom · 15/06/2015 20:55

Er, how did you weigh her? That is what, 14 kg ish?

Lozobham23 · 15/06/2015 20:55

No I'm not talking foul language ,I'm actually asking for some advice,I thought that's what this sight was here for

OP posts:
titchy · 15/06/2015 20:57

The advice is take her to the clinic. Perhaps you could do that tomorrow.

Lozobham23 · 15/06/2015 20:59

She has been to the doctors actually in the last couple of weeks and for a unrelated matter and the doctors

OP posts:
Lozobham23 · 15/06/2015 21:00

I can not there is no health clinic it is only home visits

OP posts:
PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom · 15/06/2015 21:01

I am guessing not UK then? Take her to the doctor.

notapizzaeater · 15/06/2015 21:01

Does she "look" big ? What did the doctor say when he saw her? Can you take her somewhere else to get weighed ? Boots ?

Lozobham23 · 15/06/2015 21:01

No I'm afraid not I'm weighed her at home and on two friends scales

OP posts:
CaptainAnkles · 15/06/2015 21:02

Were you leaning on the scales at the time?

undoubtedly · 15/06/2015 21:04

What was she wearing?

Cast iron dungarees?

Magicalmrmistofeles · 15/06/2015 21:04

How did you weigh here - were you holding her on the scales?

ShatnersBassoon · 15/06/2015 21:06

This is impossible, unless you've been feeding her like a foie gras goose since April. Get her weighed by someone who knows what they're doing.

Lozobham23 · 15/06/2015 21:06

Yes Iam in the UK I'm not some overweight mother I'm a size 10 I regularly exercise and my kids eat healthy apart from weekends my son might have a McDonald's , the doctor said she is healthy he never weighed her, because I was not that concerned about her weight I just thought she's a chubby baby

OP posts:
BridgeDweller · 15/06/2015 21:07

"The last time I seen my hv was April due to refurbished centre she was 21 lbs"

"there is no health clinic it is only home visits"

Well which is it? Are you a little forgetful or would you like to change names with me?

Lozobham23 · 15/06/2015 21:09

It's the truth ,shame on you people were talking about a child 3 sets of scales r not wrong,

OP posts:
MrsBennetsEldest · 15/06/2015 21:10

Seriously, if she had put on that much weight do you not think you would have noticed. Does she look vastly different? If you are so concerned, do not ask on a forum if this is normal when anyone with an ounce of common sense will tell you it's not. Did you lose the ability to think when she was born. I know I'm not allowed to say the T word.

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom · 15/06/2015 21:10

So, you are right about the weight and you are sure. What do you want us to say other than 'take her to the doctor '?

CaptainAnkles · 15/06/2015 21:10

Yes, and a seven month old doesn't weigh two stone. I'm pretty sure you would have noticed if she had inflated by that much.

Lozobham23 · 15/06/2015 21:11

Yes it is home visits they have only just contacted me with a letter to do the 8 month check
