3yo DS and I were baking muffins on Sunday, he called flour 'pastry powder' Grin

I don't imagine that one'll stick once he knows the real word, but DH calls quiche 'egg cake', and friends of ours all call raspberry jam 'pink jam' since the kids named it years ago.

Any more?

A 3 year old child told me yesterday that her Mum wasn't well as she had just "had her ears bricked up". Any ideas?

phantomnamechanger · 07/10/2014 20:38

I love the cute things littlies say!

We used to have 'ow-bries' for eyebrows and 'wider-speb' for spider web and 'the pointer' for the remote control

best of all was DS patiently watching DH replace the batteries in a toy engine and then wistfully saying "daddies are so good at screwing things up"

TheCunnyFunt · 13/10/2014 18:01

DD is 3 and calls umbrellas 'ungorillas' :o

duckyneedsaclean · 13/10/2014 18:20

Ds(3) has a toy axe. All too often the cry goes up, 'Mummy! Where's my break-door-smash?'

duckyneedsaclean · 13/10/2014 18:24

Also, whenever I say 'oh my gosh' he invariably replies 'oh your gosh!'

Can't fault his reasoning.

SerenaJoy · 13/10/2014 19:05

Hay bales = shapey things

Umbrella = underbrella

Chicken yogurts - chicken nuggets DNeph coined that last week. Wondered what sort of filth DSis was feeding him.
