I've been scouting around the site for a few weeks, looking for info on parentnig issues (soon to be stepmother) and I was wondering how do you bear to talk like this about your family members? What's wrong with you all??

Hahaha you insult people for using shorthand and then type 'lol @'

Pots....kettles.

madwomanintheattic · 07/12/2012 14:34

Depends what sort of humour you're after. It's Friday, after all....

MamaMumra · 07/12/2012 14:35

Teehee Monsterchild. Agreed.

Andula, I think you are misunderstanding the tone if the messages and the point of having acronyms.

megandraper · 07/12/2012 14:35

You might feel at home on the Fathers 4 Justice talkboards OP?

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 07/12/2012 14:35

What a pleasant first post

I always thought it stood for "dear" myself.

MamaMumra · 07/12/2012 14:35

What else are we OP?

madwomanintheattic · 07/12/2012 14:36

Oh, that sort of humour.

Ya. I find a few insults always helps.

DowntonSprouts · 07/12/2012 14:37

Lol? LOL?

No. That's worse than DC. Much.

MamaMumra · 07/12/2012 14:37

Think you could be doing with a Wine yourself OP!

I think someone's trying to kickstart the weekend.

Smeggnog · 07/12/2012 14:38

Bless. Another one.

GalaxyDisaster · 07/12/2012 14:38

It may have been intended to be tongue in cheek, but you made the crucial error that it wasn't actually funny. We really are a nest of vipers when someone gets all superior about their humour without actually displaying any Wink

Smeggnog · 07/12/2012 14:39

Ah balls. That doesn't scan right. Can't be arsed to correct it though...

Oh, see, you were doing quite well with the first part. It would have tied in nicely with the ParentA thread recently. And then the insults. You just aren't a natural at this humour business are you?

SantasHugandRollintheSnow · 07/12/2012 14:42

Problem is, my scrumdiddlyumpciousbooboobabskiddywink is just too long to type every time. Ds is so much easier.

gail734 · 07/12/2012 14:42

I think Andula is having a wee go and trollery. She wants much more of a reaction!

vintageviolets · 07/12/2012 14:44

You might want to learn how to spell as well OP as your post says you are here;

"looking for info on parentnig issues"

Hmm
GalaxyDisaster · 07/12/2012 14:45

Oooh, no, don't start telling people off for that. I type 'nig' and 'teh' all the time when I am on my phone and don't realise until it is too late.

MamaMumra · 07/12/2012 14:46
Wine

It's too cold for a bun fight. I'm conserving my strength.

SHoHoHodan · 07/12/2012 14:47

Oh and rename this forum "parenting for the (mostly) uptight and humourless"

with the adjunct 'except of course for Andula, who has the kerraaziest sense of humour evah, natch.'

InNeedOfBrandyButter · 07/12/2012 14:48

If you don't like us you don't have to be here do you. Maybe another online forum would suit you better.

Andula · 07/12/2012 14:48

no! throws bun

OP posts:
InNeedOfBrandyButter · 07/12/2012 14:49

Did the bun fight expression come about because Camilla had buns thrown at her in Sainsburys when her and charles went public?
