I can't be the only one with a bit of a nappy obsession.

Can I? [confussed]

I am a community nurse! Smile. I will work on them when I have a bit more time and energy (if that ever happens). I only found out a few days ago that it had got so bad. Thank you for all your kind words.

Yes, one more night to attempt sleep. Was awake from 5 this morning with contractions, but they eased once I was up and about, so I am confident he is well cooked. Have quite a busy day today.

Found a washable nappy, wee only thank the Lord, that Daddy had hidden. Will wash it with some towels. I was not impressed as it was my nose that located it. Not that hard to put it in the sodding bucket eh?

I probably will not be posting again until Sunday. I will miss my fluffy friends Thanks

It's still different when it's your own family! I'm a support worker (learning difficulties, adults teens and kids at various times) and wouldn't be able to help my Gran with personal care [hsmile]

See you on the other side Thanks

LeBFG · 24/10/2012 09:11

Hi all!! Just read the last lot of posts. Yeah, he was 7,4 born but has skinny legs.

Readjusted his wrap for night and no leaks it was the booster i thinking peeping over the top.

What boosters do you all use?

Notgrownupinmyhead · 24/10/2012 11:12

Ps PP posted that wrap so should have it in the next few days. Grin

PurplePidjInAPointyHat · 24/10/2012 16:57

Notgrownupinmyhead · 24/10/2012 20:20

PurplePidjInAPointyHat · 24/10/2012 20:52

I should hope it is! [hwink]

Notgrownupinmyhead · 24/10/2012 21:39

You could use it to escape the upper floor should you have barricaded yerself in your room to escape everyone.

Wonder how VQ is getting on? Confused

Who is next??

LeBFG · 25/10/2012 07:22

Not me I think, I'm due March. But surprises happen and I'm already getting everything prepared now. He could arrive as early as January!

PurplePidjInAPointyHat · 25/10/2012 08:52

I'm 3 floors up...

30/11, does that make me next? Could be pretty much any time from now to mid December, of course [hshock]

BiscuitCrumbsInBed · 25/10/2012 09:16

Good luck today VQ! Looking forward to hearing of your ds's safe arrival.

Ps use little lamb bamboo boosters.

Notgrownupinmyhead · 25/10/2012 10:29

I shall look out for thems boosters. Ta.

Theres just been a right loud explosion/car accident type boom outside. Set the dogs in the area off and all the neighbours out. Last week it was green smoke now this.

On one of the fb pages there was a nappy up for £27.50! She said it was because of the embroidery on it. I can't justify spending that on a bit o fluff.

PurplePidjInAPointyHat · 25/10/2012 11:18

i want this for dp, but refuse to spend the money on something to get pissed all over!

LeBFG · 25/10/2012 14:33

Amazing what they can ask for a little cute design! I guess people pay it. Not me. DSs will have to stick with the boring white Onelife wraps I just bought from Nappy Lady after your guys recommendations. I'm jealous of your DHs btw. Mine never changes a nappy, fluff or otherwise...wait he did day before yesterday while I was with the midwife and he left dirty nappy strew on the bed and the new one was, of course, a sposie. My sis's DH is the same. Must have similar tastes Confused.

PurplePidjInAPointyHat · 25/10/2012 15:30

MIL has him well trained, and SIL tried cloth (although didn't get on with it) on her eldest. When I pointed out it's cheaper and better for the environment, he shrugged and agreed. If he had major objections we'd discuss it, though, and either compromise or one would capitulate to the other. It helps that he firmly believes that Real Men Pull Their Weight! He's incredibly scathing of guys who can't handle a bit of tidying or child care, says they're pathetic like (thankfully now ex) BIL Wink

BiscuitCrumbsInBed · 25/10/2012 17:52

Notgrownup, explosions and green smoke - do you live near hogwarts?! Laughing at idea of PP escaping from window with baby wrap thing, like a pregnant James bond...

DD has had a cold for past 10 days and has decided to increase her bf ing and not bother with much food... so I'm having to deal with lots of manky runny poos grr. I'm sticking with my paper liners til things solidify. Yuk!

BiscuitCrumbsInBed · 25/10/2012 17:53

New slogan for the dads perhaps: Real Men Use Real Nappies !

PurplePidjInAPointyHat · 25/10/2012 17:56

Real Men Ain't Scared Of Poo :o

Notgrownupinmyhead · 25/10/2012 18:49

DH wont change the boys either. Considering he had a colostomy for 3 yrs you'd a thought baby poo was nothing compared to that. Ill not pay silly prices either. No way its gonna get shit on and they'll not be showing it off to the world either.

Grin
Notgrownupinmyhead · 25/10/2012 18:50

Yeah, dur. Green smoke apparently it was toner ink. I dont think so, chlorine cloud more like!!

NumptyDumty · 26/10/2012 15:09

In our house i feed so when my OH is home he does most/all nappy changes, he does do a lot and suppose you just take it for granted?!

Little lamb are having a sale next weekend, you just have to like there Facebook page to see it Grin

Love me for helping you save money not spend it haha!

I know up thread someone said there wraps were rubbish but anyone tried the bamboo? If there a bargin I might just be tempted?

LeBFG · 26/10/2012 18:43

I have bamboo in sizes 1 and 2. They are very absorbant but I find the rise pretty low esp the 2s at the moment. My DS is 19mo and only average height/weight so I find this a bit surprising frankly. The boosters are what everyone seems to use on here and I use them a lot. Very useful. Probably never bother buying any more wraps tbh though.
