I can't be the only one with a bit of a nappy obsession.

Can I? [confussed]

Laughing and also bleeuurrghh-ing at the pre-gored pads, I need a Wine now to recover from the trauma...

LeBFG · 22/10/2012 07:38

Love pre-popped/cherry popped the best - the others, frankly, bleugh!!!

PurplePidjInAPointyHat · 22/10/2012 08:18

The whole concept is, frankly, bleugh! Might as well go back to the dark ages of crocheting your own and hooking them on to your girdle!

Well as we're all so crafty maybe we should! (definitely a joke...!)

LeBFG · 22/10/2012 08:42

But surely the bestest of bestest lentil-weaver would want to recycle? I'm with VQ - there must be a specialist market of men wishing to buy cherry poppers.

PurplePidjInAPointyHat · 22/10/2012 08:54

I've seen csp on the preloved fb boards.

Do people not realise that the bacteria in blood needs to be boiled at 90* to kill it? Like cooking meat! Completely different to waste products on nappies which have been filtered by the stomach and kidneys.

Notgrownupinmyhead · 22/10/2012 09:59

But men will pay for it.

Pre splatted? PAF - pre aunt flo? Pafpads?? You'd have to make sure you've checked you've removed any stray pubes before you sold them though.

Ill get me coat.

Envy
NumptyDumty · 22/10/2012 16:14

What have I started haha!

Do you think you would get more money from the dirty market for 'after labour' pads Envy

buscits my OH had a great night out and me and baba had the big bed all to ourselves as he was relegated to the couch because he stunk and snores when pissed. Sunday he regretted it abit as babies don't go easy on hangovers haha!

Ooooo so just been buying some more eBay cheapies and was messing with the options to see how much one would be then 3 wih inserts ect and the prices were all the same, the options weren't changing! So iv took the opertunity to buy 3 if 3 come I will kick myself for not ordering more nappies wih 2 inserts each for £4.98 Smile

Will let you know if 3 turn up or just one!

ValiumQueen · 22/10/2012 17:19

numpty hmm. Fingers crossed. If so do send me a linkey Grin

As for the rest of you... Gross! Wink

NumptyDumty · 22/10/2012 17:36

Just got a message from eBay

'Sorry you have only placed an order for 1 Reusable nappy, design number 3 with inserts. This nappy was dispatched to you today.'

Boooooo hiss!

NumptyDumty · 22/10/2012 17:38

Number 3 is pink.... I did not order that one!

So in conclusion the eBay cock up did not work in my favour, I now have a nappy on its way that OH wont let near my DS haha Wine time

ValiumQueen · 22/10/2012 18:38

Oops! I do find ordering a tad confusing on some of the china cheapies. I prefer the single listings where there is a clear picture of what you are getting. About 30p extra, but worth it for peace of mind IMO.

A sad day today. The washables are being put aside until after my section as DH feels he cannot manage them too. He might change his mind after stripping the bed a couple of times, especially as the girls are insisting in sleeping in our bed when I am in hospital Grin

ValiumQueen · 22/10/2012 18:39

My boy will be wearing pink. Nowt wrong with a pink nappy.

Notgrownupinmyhead · 22/10/2012 20:49

If Paul Hollywood can carry off pink then a baby boy can carry off a pink nappy. Its metrosexual you know.

NumptyDumty · 22/10/2012 21:22

I'm all for putting him in pink, it's his daddy I have to convince! I suppose he should be grateful it's not a pretty frilly one which I have asked myself if he could pull off
If I had a girl I think I would be bankrupt the pretty nappies really are beautiful

PurplePidjInAPointyHat · 22/10/2012 21:55

Surely it makes no odds under clothes? What do they think will happen, that the baby will catch The Gay from a pink object? Hmm (bastardised version of dp's opinion btw!)

Notgrownupinmyhead · 22/10/2012 23:20

Ha yeah, thats dh's thinking. He didnt want ds1 to have a doll and toy pushchair when ds2 came along so we could look after the babies together.

Girls wear blue.

The pocket nappies have rubbed off the top layer of new boys skin so I might keep him in the Bamboozles for a bit til he gets bigger. Sad

PurplePidjInAPointyHat · 22/10/2012 23:48

Have to admit, i wouldn't buy and deliberately dress him in girl shaped clothes for a boy and vv. But if ds wants to play imaginatively and choose so-called girl activities or clothes, that's his choice. Same goes for tv character stuff. Plenty of time for that when they're old enough to whinge for plastic tat express a preference - up till then, it's nice colours, stripes etc!

ValiumQueen · 23/10/2012 06:56

notgrownup poor baby boy! What pocket did that? Where did it hurt him? Hope it is soon healed.

Notgrownupinmyhead · 23/10/2012 08:10

All of them, hes got really skinny legs and i cant get a snug enough fit with them. Its round the tops of the inner thigh, luckily he doesnt seem bothered by it so until he chubs up round there a bit more ill stick with the TB. Sad

Hes started gurgling and smiling more now its so funny.

Notgrownupinmyhead · 23/10/2012 08:10

Yep PP, I agree. Grin

ValiumQueen · 23/10/2012 08:13

My babies are pre-chubbed. Never had a scrawny one yet. It is amazing how quickly they develop. I am going to really try to enjoy the newborn moments, even though they look 3months old in this family.

ValiumQueen · 23/10/2012 08:15

Peppa pig and princesses and Barbie and polly pocket and one direction all figure largely in this house. And that is just DH.

silverfrog · 23/10/2012 08:22

oooh, not sure I should join in here. might be dangerous Grin

my girls were both in cloth, and ds (12 weeks) is now. I used MEOS and Sandys for the girls, but when I looked at buying new wraps (sorely needed, as had been through both girls and were a little sorry looking), I found that I could buy ds new nappies for the price of what I woudl spend on wraps (would only buy motherease airflow, as they were fantastic)

so, thanks to a zulily promotion and the MN code, ds is now in rather fetching Charlie Banana pocket nappies which are coping with his power wees very well. we were staying ith friends this weekend, so he was in disposables, and the amount of leaks we had was ridiculous Angry. thankfully back to his fab fluff now.

I am looking to offload my Sandys - anyone know where best to do this? do I have to go through the faff that is ebay?
