I've got until Tuesday. The other one til end of this Friday. Might have a look at the course book, I got told off last time for not refering to it in my comment section.

3 days per each assignment, should be doable, no?

Hmm
HoHoBloodyHo · 11/01/2012 18:44

Can I come in?!

PuffofSmoke · 11/01/2012 18:50

p.s forgot my pissed off festive name change was still active, back to me now! Blush

I cannot make myself write. Just cannot. FFS. TBH I find bloody Spencer, MacNeice et al annoying, their Civil War poems at least. Grr. 8 hours left. Fuck.

How are you doing WSP? Did your houseguests leave yet?

Oh, rasputin, yes, I know that feeling of being unable to focus and feeling horribly anxious. It helps to remove all sources of distraction and just get on with it, after a bit you might find yourself engrossed.

I think I might just give up. Argh.

I haven't got a passion for the bloody poets of the 30s, though.

Brew to everyone that needs it

gingergran · 13/01/2012 18:10

can i join please - got a TMA due for Tuesday - finished the reading and just need to write it but there are so many other things i would rather be doing - and this is just the first one of the course. got to get up to date though as starting new course at the beginning of february and overlapping for three months so need to get my nose in front - its just so hard to get moving again after the Xmas holidays

winnybella · 13/01/2012 22:31

What course are you doing, ginger?

I have decided to give this tma a miss Blush I know, I know, but I just can't bloody do it. My chances of getting a first class degree are fading fast Hmm Actually, I'll be lucky to get any degree, the way the things are going at the moment.

Have my creative writing tma due on Tuesday. Come on, WSP, let's hold hands. Hope you're doing better than me.

wildstrawberryplace · 14/01/2012 14:14

winny, if you're going to give your 20th century TMA a miss then are you going to submit something at least to bump up your substitution score? Even if you feel no good about it it is better to submit something rather than nothing surely, if you can face it?. I know how you feel about not wanting them to think that the submitted incomplete thing is your best effort iykwim.

I'm struggling tbh, have another extension for the creative writing and have to submit by Weds at latest so Hmm I better get going but I'm just not feeling the love at the moment.

gingergran it is hard to get going after the hols isn't it?

get some of this down you Brew rasputin

So you're going to be doing 3 courses concurrently for a bit then puff - eeps!

OP posts:
winnybella · 14/01/2012 14:34

No, I'm not submitting anything. Anyway, deadline's gone.

I have just sent DP and DD out to the park, so have quiet house to plot my story. Hope writing will go well for you, wsp. May I ask if you're going for lit fic or rather genre? I'm thinking genre for myself. Crime/detective story. I'm not really feeling up to being all profound at the moment. Not that that will be much easier Hmm

wildstrawberryplace · 14/01/2012 19:57

Ah well, winny that's the good thing about deadlines passing, at least you don't have to think about it any more :)

Haven't really decided about the story, was going to look at it tomorrow and start writing on Monday. Must remember to make sure something "happens" this time. I did read on some forum or another that if there was a murder in a story for OU then it always scored highly, so sounds like you're onto a winner with your genre Grin

Not a parent (a nanny) but hope I can join you? Just wrote 1027 words of utter bollocks for DSE141 due on Tuesday. Rarr don't like psychology any more!

gingergran · 14/01/2012 20:54

winny am doing psychology - like juneybean - at the moment and ed209 - child development in february but unlike juneybean i haven't written 1027 words of utter bollocks or otherwise!

juneybean · 14/01/2012 20:59

Ooo I was interested in the child development one but it being a level 2 course with an exam totally put me off.

I found that part 2 of week 4's video milgram on milgram was quite helpful!

gingergran · 15/01/2012 13:14

juney - i did u212 first (childhood) - which was a fabulous course. Don't be put off by the exam. I hadn't done an exam for more than 30 years but you get a lot of help and in my experience the tutors marking the course look to give you marks rather than deduct them.

i am sitting today going over the TMA part two - done part one - its not that i don't know what to write although i won't now for sure till i start - its just a matter of actually writing!!

juneybean · 15/01/2012 18:27

Did you find a huge difference between the level 1 and level 2 courses?

Just submitted because I cannot be bothered with it any longer! -fingers crossed-

gingergran · 15/01/2012 19:51

yes, a lot more work and a lot less hand holding!

ForkInTheForeheid · 15/01/2012 23:59

Woo hoo! know I've not been posting much on here (have been a lurking procrastinator) but I've finished my TMA3 on E807. 2845 words of hell. Happy writing folks :D

craftynclothy · 16/01/2012 14:21

FFS. I am sat here doing sod all instead of trying to read the next 2 units of my course. I had basically taken the last 5 days off (parents visiting, night out for dh's 30th & recovery Wink) with the idea being I could use the evenings this week to catch up. Then dh found out at 4.30pm on Friday he has to be in London 2 days this week. So I'm going to lose those 2 evenings and be knackered less enthusiastic about it after that. Just keeping my fingers crossed dd2's sleep doesn't go haywire again.

winnybella · 16/01/2012 21:33

Hope everyone is working assiduously Wink

I spent today inside various offices (tax and such like) and have just sat down. DD has conjuctivitis, so is miserable and a pita.

Short story to write before tomorrow midnight. I cannot fuck up this time. Cannot, cannot, cannot.

How's it going, wsp?

Grin Because you have written it and are very happy with it or because you haven't even started?

Guess which one is me Hmm
