In fact am still halfway through Jane Eyre Hmm. I've read it many times before, but need to reread it to find scenes to use in my argument.

And few critics' essays to read.

So here I am, even though I promised myself I would never leave it late like this ever again.

So, dear MNetters, again I have to ask you to kick my arse.

Would you like me to nag during the day?

winnybella · 06/12/2010 08:42

Oh, hello, Katy Grin.

Yes, please.

Thing is, DP is leaving for work in a few minutes, so I have DD to look after and then DS comes from school. DD will hopefully nap for 2 hrs in the early afternoon, but other than that I don't know how I'll find the time to read 200 pages left of Jane Eyre and about 40 of critics' essays.

And then forming an argument and writing something relatively coherent...Arrgh.

Hello Prolesworth. How did the last one go? Did you get a decent mark?

DD is in her cot, I've got at least an hour to read.

Yes, yes, nag me and I'll nag you back. Is yours due tomorrow as well?

Just out of interest winnybella what are you studying? I'm interested in going back to school while looking after little ones and would love to hear your experiences?

Well done Prolesworth.

I read maybe 50 pages, have 150 more to read, DS is reading in his room, but DD, whom I put in front of TV, keeps coming here and asking me to draw with her/ change nappy/ put a shoe on etc etc.

So I have to finish the novel, read the critics and then write 1500 words.

I am really and truly fucked. Sad

Yes, unfortunately I do, critics are a big part of this course. I had a few days extension last time, I'm not asking for it again just because I can't get my shit together.

sugargirl, sorry, didn't mean to ignore you. I'm doing Eng Lit. One module a year, so part-time. AA316 at the moment, it's great.I don't think the workload is heavy-just me who can't motivate self to complete assignemnts on time.

Thank you for support Smile

Well, I'm nearly done with JE, but although usually a fast reader, I find it hard with this novel- it really pulls you in, so I focus on every sentence instead of scan-reading iyswim.

Anyway, I'm finally in bed, will read a bit more then finish in the morning before DP goes to work and read the critics when DD has her nap in the afternoon, ponder the whole thing in the pm and write the essay when kids go to bed. Might ask DP to come home early (self-employed), so he can do bedtime.

Sounds like a good plan, eh Grin

What's your assignment on?

winnybella · 07/12/2010 09:49

Oh, God. I'm only half awake, I don't see how I'll manage.

Shit.

OP posts:
KatyMac · 07/12/2010 09:53

You'll be fine - collapse tomorrow

Nag, nag, crack the whip

winnybella · 07/12/2010 09:57

Ouch.

But I'll only have 2 hours when DD is asleep in the afternoon and then 3 hours in the evening. I might read a bit when she's awake, but probably not a lot. So even if I manage to read everything I have to during the day I'll only have 3 hours in the evening to write the essay.

Sad

Grin

But you have 900 words already-or more Envy

I'm not even in the planning stage yet.

And now I have lots of family bothering me with urgent emails about Christmas. Arrgh.

Nope. DD requested that I sit with her and watch BabyTV.

You still have some time- maybe just think about the structure today and write it tomorrow. Do you know your arguments but are not sure how to arrange the within the body of the essay?

How am I going to write something that will get a pass in 3 hrs? And I don't want just a pass- I was hoping to get a first for this course Hmm
