I am guilty of dwelling on the negatives when it comes to the health and behaviour of my ds.

So say something positive about your offspring (boasting encouraged)

Ds is the best because he knows all about the feeding habits of basking sharks. And he is only 3.

because she is 20 mnths and she recognises the letter Y and it stands for 'acht. Obviously has started with the very expensive taste early then.

She has also managed to daytime potty train herself!!! wasnt planning that till next summer but dp is NOT complaining AT ALL about no nappy washing

tarantula · 14/09/2005 13:27

Have to say its amazing what kids pick up and learn isnt it. whats next Great whites or Makos?

saadia · 14/09/2005 13:27

my ds1 (aged 3.5) is the best because when he's practising his tennis serve and misses the ball he mutters in a frustrated tone "oh come on".

Ds2 (aged 1.5) is the best because when he's wearing socks on the laminate flooring he has to walk really fast for fear of slipping.

Not really boastworthy examples but I think they're cute.

DS1 (5 on Friday) - is the best because he's fantastic with computers and generally really well behave.

DS2 (21 months) is the best because he has no fear and is very 'outgoing'.

ParisMum · 14/09/2005 13:28

dd is the best because... she's just learnt to do kisses

mymama · 14/09/2005 13:29

because my ds is 2 next week and can count to 10, say his abc and draw a circle and triangle. But he is the best because his tight little cuddles make by tummy "flip" and make it all worthwhile

Lacrimosa · 14/09/2005 13:31

Ds because he has not wet the bed for 3 weeks now and wont have to be reffered! He also knows hundreds of dinosaur names and how to spell them!
Dd because she never cries when she hurts herself, just gets up and keeps on going and she always has ahug to give even when she is mad with me!

Thomcat · 14/09/2005 13:32

My little girl is the best beacuse although she has special needs and can't stand up on her own, walk or talk much she can count to 10, say the days of each month and has the most amazing amount of love and joy to give out to everyone.

PrettyCandles · 14/09/2005 13:34

Ds is the best because he started Reception today and joined the line and went into class with great self-confidence and pride - despite being nervous and apprehensive.

piffle · 14/09/2005 13:34

ds because he truly is a genius and makes me so proud - he came from ME! Also he is kind and sensitive and wonderfully nicely natured

dd 3 - is going through a lovely phase right now, never tantrums, has just learned to say cuddle (duddle) and asked for one yesterday, she has speech delay and this was so worth waiting for.

clary · 14/09/2005 13:42

Awww, what a nice idea for a thread (bet the fish won?t approve but anyway)
My ds1 (6) is the best because he has memorised all his dinosaur top trumps
dd (4) is the best because she has the neatest and most thorough colouring I have ever seen
ds2 (2) is the best because he is totally potty trained way before the other 2 were and very reliable. And he is soooo smily and cheerful!

PeachyClair · 14/09/2005 13:43

DS2 is fab because when I was really tired and down the toher day he changed ds3's nappy! I would never have asked but how sweet is that guy? Aww!!

DS3 is the best because he smiles all day and has a kiss and hug for everyone. Bless.

DS1 is amazing because he (despite being AS) loves us all so much, is so affectionate to those he knows well and manages to make friends and build relationships by sheer grit, hard work and determination. We are so proud of him.

starshaker · 14/09/2005 13:45

my dd is best cos she just is [sticks tounge out]

edgetop · 14/09/2005 14:59

my ds is best because he started reception on monday i didn,t cry he loves school & wants to go every day he is so well behaved & so loving.

Lizzylou · 14/09/2005 15:03

My Ds (18mths)is the best because he gives me amazing kisses and hugs. He laughs and chatters all the time, loves to do all the actions of the nursery rhymes, can count to 3 and when I pick him up from nursery later I know he will run across the room to me, smiling with his hands up to be cuddled shouting "helloooo"...

edam · 14/09/2005 15:04

Ds is the best because he's already telling jokes at age 2 (OK, you really have to be there, but they are funny, honest). And because he taught himself to count from one to ten at 18 months old suprising us, nursery, other parents who overheard him - no idea where he got that from. And because he helped me get the buggy free when it was stuck on a tree root just like a grown-up helping you up some steps. And because he's just him, of course.

motherinferior · 14/09/2005 15:05

My two are the best because they are curly.

ScummyMummy · 14/09/2005 15:06

Mine are the best because they are mine and I love them.

sweetheart · 14/09/2005 15:06

my dd is the best because after loosing a baby she has really looked after me during this pregnancy. She has a maturity that even I don't have and she gives the best cuddles in the world.

shalaa · 14/09/2005 15:07

DS [6 mths] is the best as he holds up his arms for a cuddle, has a gorgeous smile, says mama and brightens up my life

plinketyplonk · 14/09/2005 15:18

Ds (15 mths) is the best cos i know when i get home from work he'll be stood looking out the window for me (his head just visible) and will break out in the most gorgeous smile and start giggling when he sees me ..

This is a lovely thread!!

saffy202 · 14/09/2005 15:31

Ds2 is the best because he has the most happiest, smiliest face Also when I picked him up from school just now he said "I love you - you look so pretty!"

Ds1 is also the best(!)because he always works so hard at school and gets brilliant results!

Cam · 14/09/2005 15:45

My dd (age 8) is the best because she says things like "Everyone's important" and "It doesn't matter what people look like it only matters what they're like"

And I love her even more
