That's a shame I think they would sell well.

Morning all :)

Have some fleece liners and wipe solution on the way, that's about the sum of my fluff purchases at the moment, have lots of bug purchases coming though!

It's absolutely pissing down here today so have resorted to the tumble dryer, i'm still housesitting/teenager sitting at my parents, dp has had to go home to wait in for the aerial to be fitted and the tv delivered, the little two put their parts on and insisted on going with him so it's been a lovely quiet calm morning for me with just the big two Grin As soon as he gets back we are going shoe shopping for the girls, i need to get dd1 and dd2 school shoes and dd4 needs a pair of day shoes and dd3 will end up with some if the prices are right Wink

How's ds's blue bum Mumface? Grin

mumface · 26/08/2010 10:25

Blue bum gone now, it rubbed off overnight onto his Drybees fleece pocket which is blue anyway!
What bug stuff you got now? I want a liner off white or sand but I heard velcro shoes trashes them.

im keeping myself busy knitting, cleaning and sorting. cost us £100 for school uniform and shoes this year, so nappy ban for a while i think. :(

i an drowning in toys as well. soon as the kids go back i am having a massive cull ready for xmas!

bagpuss · 26/08/2010 12:33

Yay Mumface Grin I was seriously considering buying on from the US earlier (not that I am at all obsessed).

4 - Envy at tumble dryer, mine broke on Monday and I have been drowning in wet washing ever since. Currently waiting for dh to fix it with some magical part from fleabay Hmm.

CC, sympathies on the uniform costs - I'm not adding ours up!

4andnotout · 26/08/2010 19:54

Well we managed to get 4 pairs of shoes for £69 from the startrite factory shop so I'm pleased :) dd3 pointed out a pair of scarlet patent t bar shoes as soon as we walked in and luckily for her they were the shoes they had in her size (they usually only have a few styles in each size) so she is pleased! Dd4 got a little pink pair which coincidentally were called "Tilly" so they were obviously destined for her. Dd2 has the exact same shoes as last year but a size bigger, for £15 though I wasn't about to say no and go somewhere else for a different pair!

Bug stuff coming is a chunkle nubile Russian dolls liner and hangtight brand new but reduced from £50 to £30 to get rid of it, also got dd4'a bargain car seat from eBay so now looking for one for dd3.

4andnotout · 26/08/2010 19:58

chunkle munkle not nubile!

MrsJamin · 26/08/2010 20:09

Sorry I'm not a cloth nappy user thread regular but thought I may ask you gals about Itti Bitti D'Lishs...

Bought a set of mediums over 2 years ago when DS1 was 3 months, did me fine for ages, but they have leaked on DS1 for a while now (presumed the fit wasn't quite right or he was weeing too much at once), but now they're on DS2 (6 MO) who they should fit, but I think the elastic is going or something, as when you lay the outer out to put the inners in, it just is flat, the elastic isn't taut. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me? Am tempted to try to put in new elastic but I think I may ruin them forever. I bought them on the presumption that they would do 2 children and I can't really afford to buy them all over again. Hmm Help!

mumface · 26/08/2010 20:24

You did well on the shoes 4! Wish I lived near a startright factory Envy
What is a hangtight, like a footmuff?

MrsJamin, don't know what to say on the Itti's. I've never had elastic go in any, but I've never had any for longer than a year. Itti only guarantee them for a year. Have had plenty go scrunchy with pul going in them. Not the most resilient of nappies it seems. Try posting on their facebook page, they usually answer you.

Mrsjamin I have had a couple where the leg elastic went and they were as you described, I suggest taking photo of them and adding it to itti's fb page and see what they say.

Mumface a hangtight is like a footmuff thickness blanket which ties on to the pushchair and has a foot pocket, will be ideal as I already ordered a footmuff in my custom order.

steph1512 · 26/08/2010 20:48

4 startright factory shop??? pls tell me where i am having a nightmare getting shoes for dd who only just reaches a D width so startrite are usually much better

4andnotout · 26/08/2010 21:00

It is in Norwich the shoes are technically seconds but ive never found a fault in 7 years! I'm going back in a couple of weeks to get dd1 and dd2 some winter boots, I can take orders if required Grin the prices are excellent, prewalkers and crawlers are £8, shoes up to an infant 6.5 are £15 6.5-13 (I think) are £17 and over that is £22 same price for shoes and boots.

JABULA · 27/08/2010 09:15

Aww, look at her, she is so gorgeous myjob Smile. Lovely knitting too of course!

maygirl · 27/08/2010 21:35

mrsjamin I had the elastic go on some nappies (not itti bitti) and was advised not to open up the nappy to put in new elastic, but to use elasticated thread and zig zag stitch on the outside of the nappy, round legs and back. On an itti this might work if only stitch through the suede cloth bit perhaps?? HTH

mumface · 28/08/2010 08:39

Fantastic knitting myjob, Sad your last nappy purchase, at least you can say you made the most of the nappy days Smile and you have other fluffy addictions now.
Had a great night, all went well Smile

I have just had an insight into my future with 4 teenage daughters as I just ran a bath and stepped into and it's freezing! DFosterSis has had a bath this morning and used all of the hot water! Gah! Coupled with the lady in the Chinese spotting menin town yesterday and the congratulating dp on our forthcoming baby Shock he had to explain in not pg just fat :( Blush

mumface · 28/08/2010 10:29

4 Blush looking pregnant, has happened to me a couple of times and I'm only 9 and a half stone! I have badly separated stomach muscles so even if I hold my tummy in I look about 5 months gone. Really annoying.

Mumface I'm still winning on that khodi bag, it's still at £9.99 and ends today.

Looking forward to my mum and dad coming home overnight so I can sleep in my own bed tomorrow, I didn't realise how much I'd miss my own house.
