Just had to announce this!! Just come back from hols and put DD in disposables as I couldn't be bothered washing cottons while away and my god they really are sh*te!!! They stink of chemicals, I had gel stuff oozing out of them, she got nappy rash and ended up doing loads of washing from the explosive poos which ended up all over her clothes. Couldn't wait to get home and put her in her lovely, fluffy, big bummed Tots. Aaar rant over!!

Funny, cos I have used disposables on all my 3, but tried washables for my little girl. Had the worst bum I have ever seen after only a couple of hours . Took weeks to clear up properly. So courses for courses eh??

i just think that the response to a completely innocent thread was very OTT and unnecessary.

I've explained why the thread title sparked such a response and I was certainly not nasty of spiteful in anyway, just said I DID userdisposables (which I refuse to feel guilty about, having tried cloth types and them not fitting my huge son).

I use banana leaves stuffed with moss. Now you can't get greener than that!

believe it or not i don't even have a problem with people using disposables! i couldn't care less what nappies people use

but i don't see how you can "explain" why people reacted like they did when you don't even know them

and i still maintain that the reaction to this thread was really nasty and unnecessary

just because of some other heated threads doesn't mean that people can just come and slag off someone they don't even know

but you don't know WHY the comments were made!

I know Stalrover, it could be seen to be nasty, but I honestly don't think that it was meant that way...in the context of all the threads this morning, it looked very much like a jokey thread set up to counteract all the Aptimil ones. All a question of timing.
If that isn't why people posted rude responses, then I apologise, I honestly thought that was what was going on.
I'm not being facetious so don't think I deserve a verbal battering for explaining what was going on!!!
