Hoping for a lie-in in the morning (that's any time after 8am). Maybe doing beach tomorrow to collect shells for chickens.

Back terrible last night. Had to give up on the evening and go to bed. Got up this morning and got half weay down the stairs and had to go back to bed. Now the painkillers have kicked in and I've used the tens machine and had a bath I am dressed and up.

have fun at the beach. I am very envious!

I've asked my sister to pop the books in but no sign of them yet.

Didn't go to the beach in the end. I'm just about to hoover instead .

Dh has gne off with dd and one of the ponies and left Pip behind so I have her howling and whining in my ear.

Yes have New Moon. Have not watched it yet as I've been too grumpy. Perhaps tonight?

Took the boys to Chessington Zoo today. Hot in free with Merlin pass but it closed at 3pm.

Did thy enjoy it? I'm not keen on zoos myself.

Dd flatly refuses to visit a zoo. She 'feels sad for the animals'.

Watched The Daybreakers last night. Enjoyed it. Good twist on the vampire film.
Then watched New Moon much to dh's disgust He gave up a third of the way through and went to bed.

Happy Mothers Day to you both. Think nobody has remembered here although I dd see dd trying to hide a card that she must have made at school .
Her and dh have taken Charlie Apples off for her riding lesson.

Either of you know where you can get those little balls that you put the washing liquid in before putting it in the machine? I only have one left as the dog has chewed some.
They used to come with the bottles of washing liquid but I haven't seen any for years.

I think you can ask the manufacturer to send you one. Have a look at their website.
I told DP/DC not to buy me anything this year but they made me some lovely cards and DS1 picked me a lovely flower.

Dc brought me some daffodils in bed and some lovely cards. Dh brought me breakfast in bed with the papers and unfortunatly dc decided that breakfast in my bed was what they did too! Dd dropped her crumpet with chocolate spread on my brand new duvet cover! Eventually they left me alone with the paper and I had a lovely read of it in bed in the sunshine!

I turned on the Tv to watch the Gardener's World I recorded and DH said OOO Grand Prix! Grrrr!

We are not doing very well with New Moon. We've watched two parts so far and still have not finished. By 9pm it's getting past bedtime nowadayas (I've been favouring 8.30 since I've ben on strong painkillers)
Maybe we'll finish tonight.

Wasn't sure for a moment there whether I'd make it to school this morning but I think the painkillers are kicking in now.

Let me moan about dh so I can get it off my chest and not mention it to him. Why is it that his idea of tidying up is to pick everything up off the floor but just to pile it on the first available surface or at the edges of the floor then hoover. Then how oh how have we got through the weekend without the children's lunch bag beakers going in the dishwasher? Duuur!

I have been preparing myself for the likelihood that I shall be disabled for life. do you think I would get a badge?
I looked at the benefits but I would need to be off work for 28 weeks first, then I would get £80 ish plus I would be able to work earning no more than £93 per week. I don't know...there is certainly no way I could go back to work in September when DD starts school. I'd never pass the medical!

My mum has a blue badge and your back sounds as bad as hers so it's definitely worth applying. There must be some benefit you're entitled to. You shouldn't have to struggle to work in agony.

So...my thoughts on New Moon.

First...they put waaaay too much makeup on RP this time.
Secondly, RP, I love you I do, but really only in pictures, I wish you wouldn't move and I wish you were a more convincing actor.

He really is a rubbish actor. Had parents' evening tonight and the boys are both doing really well, which is a relief. DS1 had real trouble settling into year 3 (as did most of the boys) as it's such a big change from cosy infants school. He's doing so much better now.

Tis always the way in year three.
Glad they are doing well. We have parents evening next week.

I haven't gone to work this morning as Dd is poorly. Or rather she was during the night(she has a cold) but now she does not seem so bad and is currenty a nija cat with her kitten that I have just bought from the pet shop...sigh.
The Doctor should be ringing me in a bit so I can ask for a sedative for my MRI on Monday.
