The Vampires in Venice one wsn't written by him either .
It just seems soooo different now. I miss DT

LyraSilvertongue · 17/05/2010 17:57

Wasn't it? That was one of the better ones I thought.
I miss DT too. I still expect to see his face coming out of the Tardis, not MS's

ghostofoggs · 17/05/2010 20:21

Vampires in Venice was written by Toby Whithouse who also wrote School Reunion

ghostofoggs · 18/05/2010 07:30

Need to decide whether to book a flight down to my Mum and Dad's in summer or to try and get ddown there another way incase of ash clouds...

Berrie · 18/05/2010 07:42

The Vampires in V chap also wrote Being Human which we liked. We really didn't like V in V though. We have not watched this week's, have gone off it rather.

You can always book the flight and see what happens.

Are these old lady sandals?

OP posts:
Berrie · 18/05/2010 17:05

Look at them in tan.

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 18/05/2010 20:08

I like them
I wouldn't wear them though as I don't wear open toed sandals (actually I don't wear sandals at all )

Thank you for the latest Fringe Berrie x

Berrie · 19/05/2010 07:30

I don't wear them either. I usually do flip flop type things but got caught out with a pair that gave me blisters last year.
Dh thinks they are hoooorible. I think I must take them back.

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 19/05/2010 09:43

I don't care what others say or think but my mock crocs are my go-to option when I'm not wearing my docs or my boots.
They are super comfy and it doesn't matter if they get wet or dirty.
I need more though since I lost 3 pairs to the dog when she was younger

Berrie · 19/05/2010 15:57

Not really bothered much what dh thinks He just wants me to wear some with lots of strappy bits...he can want! Just rather concerned that he is right and they are dowdy and am bothered about that...feel dowdy enough as it is.

LyraSilvertongue · 19/05/2010 19:11

If you haven't bought them yet then yes, they're a bit old-ladyish.
If you have bought them then they're lovely

Laptop charger died a couple of days ago so I've had to use DP's crappy HP laptop where nothing is bookmarked and I'm not pre-signed-in to anything. Was most inconvenient. I've just been to the Apple Store for a new one and the price was three times what I was expecting to pay. Oh well, skint again.

LyraSilvertongue · 20/05/2010 01:36

Another late night out. Too much wine. Got to be up in the morning, groan.
Am aching from accompanying 90 children from DS2's year to the theatre and back this afternoon then pub quiz this evening. Need my bed...

ghostofoggs · 20/05/2010 07:26

What did you see at the theatre? LM has signed up for 9months of Wicked.

Berrie · 20/05/2010 07:41

Oh how I want to go. Have been dropping very heavy hints fro b'day but they don't work with DH. Am going to have to book it myself.

OP posts:
Berrie · 20/05/2010 07:42

How's the head Lyra?

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 20/05/2010 18:21

Head fine, stomach queasy (this morning), mostly really tired.
We saw Guess How Much I Love You. It was really interactive and they all loved it. I love going on trips with DS2's class, they're all so sweet and gorgeous.

ghostofoggs · 20/05/2010 21:14

Oh, I love the nutbrown hares squee

Feeling fat and fed up today.

Berrie · 21/05/2010 07:49

Sorry for that Oggs.
Work all day today. Dh has taken the day offso that he can do whatever he wants while we are all out. I've roped him in to doing the school runs so I'll get an hour and 3/4 at lunch time instead of 30 mins. I think it will be nice to have lunch together without the kids but I might just spoil his day!

ghostofoggs · 22/05/2010 00:02

Wow, what a craptastic day I had today

Dog drool on laptop; zapped by a policeman with a yellow speed camera whilst doing 5mph above the limit; actually hitting a policewoman with my trolley whilst shopping in Asda; car exhaust dropping off; being stopped by two people who both told me my exhaust was hitting the ground and causing sparks as I drove home; thinking I might be due on (62 days), so actively chanelling both weepy and aggressive at the same time...

Need I go on?

I could.

For starters... How do you spell chanelling?
Channeling?
Chanélling?
Chánelling?

Aargh!

Aargghh!

aaaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!!

ps. watched Dr Who from last Sat. and thought it was best yet.

Berrie · 22/05/2010 08:54

Bloody hell what a day! Wonder if the speed camera caught the sparks?

I must be missing something with Dr Who...can't get on with it at all.

Must must must do something about the clothes mountain today this weekend.

LyraSilvertongue · 22/05/2010 16:53

Have you not watched the latest one Berrie? I thought it was pretty good too. What's the weather like where you are? It's scorching here.
I'm off to Paris on Tuesday at short notice. Found out yesterday I was going to be able to get on the guest list for an 'intimate' Muse gig at the Casino de Paris. I'm going with three girls from the Muse forum. I've never met any of them before .
We're travelling there by car and ferry so it's cheap but it'll take ages. Luckily my mum has agreed to look after the boys while I'm gone.
I'm sooo excited!

ghostofoggs · 23/05/2010 09:00

OOh Lyra, that's exciting! What are die-hard Muse fans called?
Aren't you already going to France with a bunch of strangers to see them this year?

Just off to take dd riding, then will have a fun filled day trying to catch up with the washing mountain. Will pop down to see the Festi preparations this afternoon and take them some eggs. That's my day.

What are you two up to?

LyraSilvertongue · 23/05/2010 09:46

Yes, so exciting. I keep waking up really early and can't get back to sleep because my head is racing with it all.
Die hard fans are called Musers. the girl who's driving joked that she's going to get Musemobile spray painted on her car as it will be full of fans .
I'm lucky to be going tbh. Loads of fans are desperate to go. There were no tickets sold, they were given away in pairs to fans through a competition. I didn't win but someone on the board offered to let me come as her +1. So there are advantages to wasting spending so much time on the board. One guy is flying from the states for this, at a cost of £6k. That's dedication for you.
I'll be back to Paris on June 12th for the Stade de France date. Kasabian are supporting so I'm happy.

Today I will be washing the car with my two little helpers and then I might take them swimming in the afternoon. DP's working yet again.

Berrie · 23/05/2010 10:09

Yes did see the latest one but not last night's.
Lyra that's great!!!!

Today we need to do the clothes, we ought to go and see dh's FIL. I'd like to go to the allotment. DH wants to go to a local food fair.
Yes it's really hot here too. We had the paddling pool up yesterday which was nice.

Must feed the chickens. We have baby rats now. They are cute but Dh cannot shoot enough to get rid of the buggers. Oggs, did you not get any problems with your animals eating dead poisoned rats? We dare not poison them because of the neighbours cats.
