Oh God I know! She has a fabulous mouth!

Funnily enough one of you...you and DH...were having an affair with another woman. You wouldn't tell me much. I was helpfully trying to advise you about getting a little flat in the nearest town and living on benefits.
I am obviously traumatised by your recent troubles!

Berrie · 05/04/2010 19:32

ghostofoggs · 06/04/2010 19:59

How is fil? Has he settled? Did he move in?

Berrie · 07/04/2010 06:30

He's Ok.
Off up North to the funeral now.
See you later!

ghostofoggs · 07/04/2010 08:02

I'd say have a nice day, but that wouldn't be right. You know what I mean though.
Hope it all goes okay.

Hello Ladies!
Busy few days. I'm enjoying having my little men around for the holidays but it means I'm not in one place for very long. I tried to teach them to rollerskate yesterday afternoon with varying degrees of success. DS1 is now quite good but DS2 needs a little more work.
Today we went to Madame Tussauds, which was crammed full of tourists, which spoiled the fun a little. Then to Hamleys and Carnaby Street and a long walk through St James Park to Westminster to meet DP for dinner (Yo! Sushi - chosen by the boys). Completely knackered now.
We watched the new Dr Who on Monday. Matt Smith does a pretty good job but can't help but feel he's an imposter. I'd soooo much rather have David Tennant back. Not gonna happen . DSs loved Prisoner Zero but DS2 is a bit worried about a secret door he's never noticed before appearing in our house.

Berrie · 09/04/2010 14:53

Sounds like you are having fun Lyra. Ours go back on Monday. I'd like another week actually it's been nice.

The weather is lovely here at the moment, properly warm. I'd love to do some gardening but I dare not.

The funeral was OK. As my parents were divorced when we were children we are not close to my father's side of the family. There are four Aunts and an Uncle with all their children and then their children. I am socially awkward even without a bit of an historical family awkwardness and I had made sure I had £40 so I could have a few drinks to ease my way through. I bought the brother (who drove us) breakfast on the way up when it became apparent he was going to pay for all of ours. (He bloody paid for my brother's and sisters anyway)Then later he ordered a massive round for everyone before finding his wallet empty and I paid for that! Consequently I had no money left for another drink! I was glad to be on our way home.

Sorry Berrie, didn't realise you were at a funeral. Glad it went ok and it's now over.
Weather's lovely here too. Took the boys to Kew Gardens with a friend and her children (one who's in DS1's class) and they had a great time.
What's it like up north Oggs?

Berrie · 10/04/2010 08:22

What's on today?

I am hoping Dh will plant my new roses today. I will do some light weeding - hands and knees stuff.

We'll aslo visit FIL as dh is doing a 10k tomorrow.

I am trying to read Wolf Hall but am finding the print troublesome. I've made an appointment at the optitions for next week. My brother tells me everyone needs glasses by 50. Methinks it is a little early.

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 10/04/2010 18:04

I needed them at 18 Berrie

Dd and I went to see 'How to Train Your Dragon' today in 3D. It was brilliant! Loved it!
It's the first time we've seen the newer 3D and it was amazing. No green and red glasses either

LyraSilvertongue · 10/04/2010 21:39

Opinions on tonight's episode of DrW? DSs were unimpressed by the lack of monsters. Steven Moffat's require too much listening and not enough monster zapping for their liking.

ghostofoggs · 11/04/2010 09:21

No spoilers please just yet - I have to download it and I just started it going. It probably won't be ready to watch until tomorrow .

I like the more 'cerebral' ones. I'm not so keen on the monster shoot 'em ups .
Last weeks was the first one that dd has watched all the way through (she had a friend over so they watched it in bed on my laptop) so she hasn't formed any opinions yet.

I liked MS as the Raggedy Doctor. He filled out the blue shirt and trousers nicely, but I am not so keen on the bow tie and too-short trousers

LyraSilvertongue · 11/04/2010 12:50

I'm not keen on the brown shirt and bow tie look either, or the 'eccentric professor' act. DT was way cooler with his pinstripes and Converse.

LyraSilvertongue · 11/04/2010 12:52

I've just downloaded the whole of Desperate Housewives season 5 (had to leave it overnight). I got to about episode 12 and then went off TV. I've got a lot of Lost to catch up on too.

ghostofoggs · 11/04/2010 13:35

I've never seen Desperate Housewives. John Barrowman is in it isn't he?

ghostofoggs · 11/04/2010 13:39

The new series that is. I heard him speaking about it on the radio.

Berrie · 11/04/2010 17:17

Evening all.

Our comedy porch is now falling down. Dh fell onto a rotting upright which broke two panes of glass. It's now the farcical porch. We are umming and ahhing about whether to knock it down or borrow money for a new one.It houses a tumble drier, freezer, shoes, boots, tools and other junk. Dh is currently boarding it up. It looks GREEEAAAT!

Not seen Dr Who yet.

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 11/04/2010 19:02

Hope dh fared better than the porch.

We have eaten, dd has bathed and dh is putting the horses in then coming in so we all sit down and watch Doctor Who together. I have decided it will be a Sunday evening ritual
