Hellooooooo!

DS is most upset we didn't get round to DR Who today.

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 11/04/2010 21:25

Really enjoyed Doctor Who. Dd hid her face during a lot of it and cried too.

Berrie · 12/04/2010 12:05

Oh dear!

Bugger.

Took DC to the Natural History Museum and took great care to point out that when he wrote about his holiday at school he could write about the dinosaurs rather than how he played on his DS...again.

A friend just texted to say they had to paint a picture of what they did in the holiday. DS apparently painted a picture of himself drinking shandy.

Dh gave him a taste of pop shandy yesterday. I'd have usually protested but he'd just told me what he'd done to the porch and I was already struggling to button my lip.

That sounds familiar Berrie. Rather than telling about all the exciting stuff she has done, dd always seems to say she watched tv

ghostofoggs · 13/04/2010 18:35

Have you watched Doctor Who yet Berrie?

Berrie · 13/04/2010 18:50

Just watched it this evening with Dc.

I didn't enjoy it as much as the first but then I had dd wittering about stuff down my earhole as it wasn't holding her attention.

I never did tell you and you will think I exagerate! But... there was a chap on the platform in London with the physique, hair and subtle air of RP and the face of DT - I kid you not. I was not able to get onto the tube with dh and dd so had to squeeze in the door with him. Our eyes met - they were very distinctive - swoon and er...that was it! Except that before the train came (and I'd already spotted him)I was clasping my camera - and I nearly...nearly took a photo of him for Oggs but chickened out!

Gah! You could have pretended you were a scout for a model company or something. Pah! Useless!

Now you've seen it, dd was crying about the plight of the Star Whale not because she was frit - although the booth men would have scared me shitless at her age and she did hide behind her hands fo a lot of it!

ghostofoggs · 14/04/2010 09:12

So, two weeks in, how do we feel about the new Doctor?

David Who?

I think MS is brilliant and also h.o.t.
The new assistant is stunning too

Berrie · 14/04/2010 11:52

Nah, model agency thing would not have worked. He was gorgeous but not conventionaly so. His nose was a little long. I LOVE a large nose!

MS will do very nicely thank you.

ghostofoggs · 14/04/2010 16:06

I'll fight you for him

Woo hoo! we have our latest obsession

LyraSilvertongue · 15/04/2010 10:56

Oggs! So fickle.
I don't think MS is better looking than DT. He's got an odd face, like it's made of wax or something.
I'm exhausted this morning. My sister and I spent three hours yesterday afternoon putting up the boys' new trampoline, which was paid for by them with birthday money that's been sitting in their accounts for years.
It's 10ft across and somewhat larger than I'd imagined it would be and takes over most of the lawn. Oops. They're having a fabulous time on it.
Only two more days of the holidays. Boo.

Berrie · 15/04/2010 12:43

Lord...holidays had forgotton all about them having been back a week...

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 15/04/2010 12:48

Did yours break up a week earlier then or did they just have a week off? Easter holidays always seem to be all over the place.

ghostofoggs · 15/04/2010 14:04

I'm not fickle

It's like with food. Just because I've discovered and love say Walnut cake, it doesn't mean I love Ginger cake any less

Dd has been back at school all week here.

ghostofoggs · 15/04/2010 14:05

Have you got one of those cages around it?

LyraSilvertongue · 15/04/2010 14:51

Yes, I don't want them bouncing off and breaking their limbs.

Berrie · 15/04/2010 17:15

Two weeks, broke up earlier.

Acupuncture! They stick pins in you you know!

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 15/04/2010 18:03

Who's having acupuncture? You?

Berrie · 15/04/2010 18:14

Yes me.

I just didn't know they stuck them so far in wiggling them about till they find the hurty bit! I have poor dom chee (or something) so she has to plunge them deeply in and out. Either that or she hates me!

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 16/04/2010 14:03

Any noticeable effects? or is it too early?

Berrie · 17/04/2010 08:37

No effects so far.

Went to see MFL'sF in Les Mis last night. It was brilliant! I had a great time.

OP posts:
ghostofoggs · 17/04/2010 10:33

Who was he playing? Where did you see it? Did you get to go backstage?

LyraSilvertongue · 17/04/2010 22:15

Oggs asked my questions
Legoland today. Exhausting.

Berrie · 18/04/2010 08:50

It's the touring version and we saw it in Birmingham.
He is in the ensemble so he plays lots of things. His sister described it as playing Where's Walley which made me laugh as it's just like that. Sadly we missed him going on as Javert - the policey man bloke. (Not sure of spelling) the day before. The actor had hurt his shoulder half way through the matinee so he did a performance and a half.
We didn't go back stage.
Gareth Gates is in it as Marius but they are not using that to promote. We only realised when we bought a programme half way through. He was really good though which was surprising. Er...the chap MFLs'F covered is played by the chap who was Phantom when we saw MFL's. Apparently he is known in musical theatre circles and MFL'fs heard the audience groan when the announcement went out that he was taking over in the interval.

Not sure about Dr Who this week We are not going to watch it with dc anymore they spoil it. I don't quite believe him and in looking at him with more interest I find I can't quite get round the size of his head and his wonky eyes. Sorry Oggs.
