JavierBardem · 18/10/2009 20:59

off too, hope bigpippi gets better, yo! will dream of parisian flat...

TheMysticMasseuse · 18/10/2009 21:01

Aw'ight JB, you can come visit and sleep in the "chambre de bonne" (ie sgabuzzino next to the kitchen). whereas if we go for apart B you'd have to sleep in the nuclear bunker (yes, really)

Rosa · 18/10/2009 21:02

SO not something to watch with the dd's round then !!
I don't think I have and ER left I have probaby videoed over them. Might have a few of teh most recent ones though .
Think its time for mee to toddle off as well as we have a grumpy minirosa. Dh also is up round 05.00 ( he came in at 4 am last night - stag night !)...He worked all day btw !

lol at bunker, the Swiss are prepared! maybe it could be used as a playroom.

Sputnik · 18/10/2009 21:06

Oh well, if it has a bunker then that would be the one for me
I am off to put DS to bed, may be gone some time.......

francaghostohollywood · 18/10/2009 21:07

Oh yes, bunkers. Some friends of ours have moved to switzerland and live in a house with a bunker. We visited once and stayed overnight and I had nightmares

francaghostohollywood · 18/10/2009 21:09

goodnight ladies, pippi I home dd1 recovers asap, piccola!

francaghostohollywood · 18/10/2009 21:09

hope

gio71 · 19/10/2009 08:08

bit late but my vote is for flat A MM but I am a central type person as well. Think it would be easier for you to establish yourself being as close to everything as possible and there is a park there so you don't need a garden
How are bigpippi and minirosa? All ill here, I went down with temp etc on Sat and ds started yesterday. Poor little thing was really poorly in the night, temp of 40 which has now gone thank goodness and has a really nasty cough which makes him cry every time he coughs. So no school and ped visit for me this pm I think to get him something for cough-sounds really tight and is on his chest. So far dp has escaped it so he has been on nurse/housewife/cook duty all weekend. Every cloud.......

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 19/10/2009 09:17

Exactly the same symptoms in bigpippi here Gio. No school today but no paed - neurofen seemed to manage to bring it down a bit.

gio71 · 19/10/2009 10:51

Is it swine flu do you think Pippi? We called the school to say he wouldn't be in today and they have banned him until his cough clears up incase it is.

Bucharest · 19/10/2009 11:17

Morning!
Hope Bigpippi and Mini-Gio are better now- it's scary when their temp is that high isn't it?
I looked at the swineflu checklist last week with dd and she ticked all the boxes too- (am not going to mention this at school though ) although my Brit GP has told my Mum that swine flu symptoms are actually much less severe than normal cold/flu symptoms so a temp of 40 is probably a bad case of "normal" cold/flu/nastylurgythingy IYSWIM?

I'd go for the out of town flat- 15 mins out is nada IMO. (too Brit emoticon) and I would hate hate hate to live in the centre....I just hate noise, I want to hurt people who make noise on the street, and mad traffic etc.....My dream is to live at the end of an unmade road with a garden and no neighbours......

francaghostohollywood · 19/10/2009 11:20

Oh all these poor babies! I hope they are on the mend.

I took dd fr her immunizations today, and we also went to visit my grandmother.

It's freezing today, uffa.

francaghostohollywood · 19/10/2009 11:24

Boh I really wonder how they can tell the difference between normal flu and swine flu if they don't swab. I think one of the symptoms of the suina is congiuntivite, but boh again !

I couldn't live in an isolated place. Given how depressed I was in the UK because there was no one to chat to, I think I could die in 2 days in an isolated place

Bucharest · 19/10/2009 11:33

Ach- I'm just a sociopath Franca!

Agree re the swineflu- it's funny though- I was in the UK over the summer at the peak of the hysteria- and now we're at that stage here in Italy- it's like Groundhog day!

Are any of you in Italy going to have the vaccine? Do you normally have the normal flu one?

francaghostohollywood · 19/10/2009 11:53

It's me. I'm needy. I like to say hello to the barista and share silly amenities with the panettiere ...

No, I'm not doing the vaccine and we've never done the common flu one as well (though, to be honest, after I had it so bad last year I contemplated of having it done, actually I'm still thinking about it)

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 19/10/2009 11:55

DH just had the normal one on friday for the first time. he was supposed to have them for years and never did. After last year's scare he now did. He felt awful all week-end.

I have no idea if it is swine flu. How can you tell the difference at this stage I do not know. Like I said, yesterday after we run through a few questions on the nhs website, very basic ones too, we got given the code for antiviral. Will go and get it today but I am not sure I'll give it to her as yet. Will ask the chemist.

Temp is around 38.5, and goes down to 37.5 37.7 after ibuprufen. Yes she's got a cough and a runny nose but so does dh and dd.

Called the school and the only said keep her in for today. Hope she's better for friday's school Halloween's party!

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 19/10/2009 11:57

Oh and btw one of the first questions was: if you have a headache so bad that you cannot open your eyes and hurt when moving your head and cannot function properly call 999 and ask for ambulance. That's what I had when 18 and living on my own in FL! I did not call anybody and was in agony !

JavierBardem · 19/10/2009 12:38

Glad babies are bit better.

Thinking of having flu vacc too, as last year it dragged on for weeks, why suffer?
Will ask at pharmacy. For now we only have a bit of chills and fever, only adults, kids so far have escaped. Boh!

Dd screaming in cot, just put her down for her sleep, I am sure she will fall asleep soon< I want to do some things alone.

JavierBardem · 19/10/2009 12:39

She is asleep now, collapesed in mid-fit. [happy]

Bucharest · 19/10/2009 13:01

Pippi- I have one of those headaches every month!
Good job we don't take these instructions too literally sometimes!
Javier- glad dd is crashed out!

francaghostohollywood · 19/10/2009 13:43

OMG, I've just watched my favourite episode of Eight is enough (la famiglia Bradford) on youtube. A trip on memory lane. It was good!

Yes, I really don't know what to do re the normal flu vaccine. I was convinced I'd do it and now I have cold feet

Buch do you suffer from emicrania?

francaghostohollywood · 19/10/2009 13:44

a trip down memory lane
