Hmmm - not sure about Europe-wide... But amongst that group of young men (up to 25, I'd say), who consider themselves "well-groomed" (they use Lynx, for instance ) - this is considered the elegant shoe of choice. LOL. Yes to the purple shirt. Also some kind of chunky watch.
