i have two lovely children and i love beign a fulltime mum but i also love going out and having a laugh,im 35 but with a vey young attitude to life, the problem is none of my friends over here seem to want to go out for a girls night out, some are even younger than me,on the rare occasion that weve been out weve always had a great time but like i said is very rare they just seem to be quite happy sitting at home arguing with their husbands and fighting with the kids but i need to switch off and have fun,am i too old for all this?should i just buy myself a rocking chair and start knitting,i need to know im not the only one refusing to grow old too fast

NEVER TOO OLD!!!

Girly · 30/04/2003 19:07

I have a combat skirt! we can be army chicks!

Meanmum · 30/04/2003 20:13

I don't have any combat gear but can apply my mascara across my face so I blend in with the carpet of the pub. You'll never know I was there until I grab you in a head lock and wrestle you to the ground.

whymummy · 30/04/2003 22:02

RODFL meanmum
yes girly and well carry paint ball guns and just shoot everyone in the pub, my combats are pink camouflage so i wont be able to blend with anything, you`ll soon know who i am anyway

I had to go to bed at 9.30pm too whymummy, all this excitement wore me out! Well there will be no missing you in your pink combats!

Anyone else coming or is it just the 3 of us?

Girly · 01/05/2003 08:11

Will have to be wary of Meanmum tho! At least no one will try and chat us up, she will scare them off with her mascara camoflage. he he he!

whymummy · 01/05/2003 08:39

i know im terrified in case she does the head lock, meanmum ive told everyone where im going and at what time ill be back just in case

But I am such an expert at blending in with the scenery no one will ever find us once I've kidnapped you both. Make sure your life insurance policies are up to date please. It's the least you could do.

Meanmum · 01/05/2003 08:43

Sorry, I'm just sitting here laughing my head off at the thought of me seeing whymumm walk into the pub in pink camoflauge gear and shouting out "why mummy, but why mummy?" The pub may not serve us alcohol after that as they'll figure we're already drunk.

I've got loads of work to do today so may not be online much. Will try to catch up with the happenings of this thread later tonight.

PS - my house is spotless as the cleaner came yesterday. Well it was spotless yesterday until we all got home. It's quickly falling into disrepair again.

mum2toby · 01/05/2003 08:46

Oooooo Dear! I'm glad I'm not going to that one!! Or am I??

Maybe it would be nice to be kidnapped for a few days, but only if the holding cell was a pub in Amsterdam.

whymummy · 01/05/2003 08:52

oh meanmum youre really scaring me now,you aussies are so strong having grown up wrestling with crocs,is your real name john??girly we better wear something different just till were sure she`s ok!!!

I know I'm not helping myself here but I do have a very masculine sounding name. However, it's easy to appease me, just offer me vodka.

Girly · 01/05/2003 09:11

M2T are you coming to our one? I bet your torn between the 2

I think your right Whymummy, Meanmum being an Aussie explains a lot, ha ha ha

whymummy · 01/05/2003 09:16

well i mean, theyve had to fight the crocs on a daily basis,on their way to school, the supermarket, ill definetly not be wearing my croc shoes just in case she mistakes me for one!!!

Good thinking whymummy! Maybe we should mail each to make the final arrangements and discuss important issue's such as what colour lippy, clothes, hair and all that stuff. Thats half the fun of a night out IMO!

Meanmum · 01/05/2003 13:16

The real fun of a night out is the drinking at home with the girls before you go out.

whymummy · 01/05/2003 13:29

ok! why dont you both come to my house, its my daughters birthday party on the same day and there`ll be booze for the grown ups(of course)

OP posts:
Girly · 01/05/2003 13:32

Yeah, I remember once when i was 18, my best firend and I were getting ready for a party and drank 2 cans of Tenants Super, we then had to get the bus to the party, we were smashed before we had even left the house! Oh, the good ol days! I seem to remember our makeup was a bit squiffy but we both still managed to pull that night so can't have been too bad!

whymummy · 01/05/2003 13:35

fancy drinking your tenants beer!!

OP posts:
Girly · 01/05/2003 13:37

Very funny whymummy!

whymummy · 01/05/2003 13:40

dont worry i had to go to the fridge and check the spelling, thats what dh drinks i think is lethal, after a few cans he turns into jack nicholson in the cuckoo`s nest after having the lobotomy

OP posts:
Girly · 01/05/2003 13:42

Its strong stuff! I think we needed dutch courage as there was 2 guys that were going to this party that we really fancied so we needed to lose our inhibitions, and boy it worked!!
