DD sometimes uses farfallina, which I suppose has a certain logic. I think she got that from school.

I've always hated the word vagina - or how it's pronounced in English anyway.

the other word my mum told dd1 is Jolanda (i suppose from litizzetto?)... honestly, when i was growing up my mum was so abbottonata she was almost a nun, and now in her old age she's becoming scurrile...

Pirlipina, not great, but my nonna invented it, so it stuck. Vagina I prefer it all'italiana, than vagiaina.
I have a friend, with erre moscia, very fine who tells his dd "pulisciti la fessa" which is incredibly rude, but I find it hilarious.

yes dh is english and we came up with the name fifi one summer evening smoking cigarettes outside and we never looked back. sometimes dd1 when she watches fif and the flowertots says 'fifi... like FIFI!!!'.She does love her fifi actually.
we were not so fantasiosi with willy because it's the minority ...

hate vagina too, both in english and italian and always worried about the feminist connotation too. I don't like pisella (my auntie used to call it) nor any I had heard before so we made it up.

Hello everyone! Eeeek, missed out on 20-odd pages again! Mustkeepup!
But now that I'm here I shall launch straight into my Mooncup tale! Ever heard of a do-it-yourself hysterectomy? Well, that was what it felt like....Boy did I panic...I got it up, just couldn't get it out....And can you imagine here in the back end of you know where, even attempting to explain what exactly it was I'd got stuck up there should I end up in pronto soccorso???? £17 down the drain, so to speak. I can't bear the idea of tampax anymore either (something to do with episiotomy methinks) and so have reverted to jolly old granny style STs. (am just a sex bomb, me)

Almost finished at the Scuola Media and been told there probably won't be a course next year as the bidelli are refusing to come in in the afternoons (and sit at their lovely beach table in the school garden under their lovely umbrella with their iced drinks bought over from the bar ) They send 1 bidello per class in the afternoons (and then everyone complains that there isn't enough money for istruzione and chunks of ceiling fall on children's heads....) Pah! Teacher was gobsmacked when I said we didn't have bidelli in the UK (I don't think we do anyway.) She said "but who cleans the boards? Who does the photocopying?" (nearly had to take her to pronto soccorso when I told her that the teachers tended to do it.

So, long story short, I shall probably be unemployed again after the summer....probably for the best at first as of course we have the whole elementare thing to buttare giu'.

Is anyone in Rome? There's someone on a thread worrying about having booked 3 days next week in the middle of the Champs League final....

PS I don't like the word vagina either. T'is why I don't do (((()))) these as vaggies always spring to mind.
