Just saw that Posh is not in Milan....

francagoestohollywood · 18/02/2009 21:15

Pippi, don't go, I'll be here for another 20 mins, I reckon...

francagoestohollywood · 18/02/2009 21:16

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 18/02/2009 21:17

kate perry of 'I keeeeesseeeed a girrrl and I liked it' c'mon brange was il tormentone dell'estate in italy last summer!!!

Brangelina · 18/02/2009 21:17

Good! We don't want her! She can take her skateboard body back to the US of A.

Brangelina · 18/02/2009 21:18

Oh, that's who sung it? I thought it was something like the pussy cat dolls.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 18/02/2009 21:19

do you think posh ever relaxes and slouches? My friend's mum had problem with her tendons because she always wore high heels and she was in pain if on flats or walk barefoot. sad no?

francagoestohollywood · 18/02/2009 21:20

nah, she never "velaxes" .

Brangelina · 18/02/2009 21:23

No, I don't think she relaxes either. Maybe when she gets home and pulls off all those bits of sellotape holding her together. She does look quite neurotic, never smiles, I can't imagine her being much fun.

Brangelina · 18/02/2009 21:26

Has anyone read Sciascia? Is he really depressing?

Penthesileia · 18/02/2009 21:26

Posh has terrible looking bunions from all the high heels. Ouch.

I don't much like the woman, or rather, I don't care about her; but she's now in a position such that she can't relax. The minute she does, the press'd be all over her, commenting on her bad skin (apparently she has acne scars), or her stretched tummy, etc. I know this is a situation of her own making - and choosing - and after all, it makes her very rich indeed. But she can't relax.

Still, I bet she lives pretty well on it!

francagoestohollywood · 18/02/2009 21:26

And she must be on diet permanently. That's daunting.

Penthesileia · 18/02/2009 21:27

What is Sciascia?

francagoestohollywood · 18/02/2009 21:27

Stop being sensible Penthe

francagoestohollywood · 18/02/2009 21:28

Sascia, read Il giorno della civetta

Brangelina · 18/02/2009 21:29

He's a Sicilian writer, was a politician at some point as well iirc.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 18/02/2009 21:32

notte.

francagoestohollywood · 18/02/2009 21:33

notte dear.
He was in the communist party, I think. Il caso moro is also very interesting, but not a novel, of course.

francagoestohollywood · 18/02/2009 21:33

I'm reading the secret garden!!!

Penthesileia · 18/02/2009 21:34

I am not at all sensible. If only...

Ok - looked up Sciascia. Looks depressing. Anything which reminds one of how entrenched corruption is in parts of Italian political life is depressing.

I blame the Americans (mostly) - they never rooted out the Mafia after Mussolini for fear of Communism; it's a great a crime as the longstanding results of the situtation the British & Americans created in Greece, post WWII.

Brangelina · 18/02/2009 21:34

Yes, I've read about the caso Moro. Very frustrating and very sad. Off to make a tisana and read the rest of sleb trash in the DM.

Penthesileia · 18/02/2009 21:35

as great a crime

Notte, Damon.

javierbardem · 18/02/2009 21:36

phew, read the toxic thread, will go to bed, as it exhausted me, well witten penthe.

Brangelina · 18/02/2009 21:36

You mean secret garden the children's book?

Yes, Sciascia will no doubt be depressing, which is why I've avoided him until now, but a friend wants to lend me the Civetta book. so I needed to know just how depressing.

Penthesileia · 18/02/2009 21:37

night night, javier. thank you!
