see I had a life yesterday!! went for a nice drink in civilized angel. funny how here in suburbialand there was still loads of snow. had to take 50cm of snow off the car etc. felt like a character in Fargo. got there and it was as if nothing had happen. ahhh the city!!! mind you I was quite happy to go back to my country bumpkin abode tbh.
anyway books: I have read one Hustvedt's book (about the two kids) and left me quite empty tbh. not convinced. not wanting to sound nasty but looks like a bad copy of her DH imho.
read that Roth's one about the dying man and thought ! and the 'married to a communist' which was okay. apparently what I read are not his best. I've had bellow in the to be read pile for about 4 years. (today carpentery is coming to fit libreria - yuppie after 1.5 years all my books can come back in the house from the garage!!!! )
re: baby's book The baby in the mirror had really good reviews.
let me read the thread again about books...
on my current to be read list there is: sophie's choice, to reread le affinita' elettive, la certosa do parma e il gattopardo, simone signoret's addio volodia, finish de debouvoire's , obama's book, and god knows what else as that pile is upstairs.
going on public transport yesterday meant that I read 1/3 of RR. very good. and it rings so many bells. not too heartwrenching yet either.
dd still ill so no nursery. I am showered and dressed though - per la cronaca !
franca thanks for arrosto - must try. must think of what joint to get - not familiar with english names of pieces of meat. so I know of brange, who else is a veggie in here? I'm glad you are still enjoying my recipes hot, haven't done the lamb for ages actually.
wow long post.
