francagoestohollywood · 22/01/2009 22:03

Sunflower, on my driving licence my dob was 25/11/1917 . I discovered it 8 yrs after it was issued!

Penthe, nah, apart from that fab movie I can't remember the title, the one about the porn star... scolapasta bug again

hothell · 22/01/2009 22:03

no, havent' read it, very sad i imagine? thought of calling dd natalia, but suddently i imagined her being called "NATTTT" and that really put me off.

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 22/01/2009 22:04

it took over a year a a few flights before anyone realised! was in Treviso hangar airport, rayaniar plane finally arrives, late as usual, and carabiniere alla dogana starts laughing with his colleague and keeps on asking "signorina, quando e' nata?" to which I keep on replying my DoB '78 and he keeps on asking.. surreal... still, a carabiniere spotted it!

Penthesileia · 22/01/2009 22:05

boogie nightS?

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 22/01/2009 22:05

franca, at least it was the same millennium!

PippiCalzelunghe · 22/01/2009 22:07

did he let you go?

PippiCalzelunghe · 22/01/2009 22:07

may I ask how long have you been mumsnetting?

I cannot believe it's 2.5 years

francagoestohollywood · 22/01/2009 22:07

lol sun!!!

Yes, very sad, very beautiful. She was such a strong woman.
I wanted Natalia for dd as well, but didn't make much sense, as she wasn't born around Christmas. I also thought about Lidia, like her mother, as I find she was such a lovely, allegra person "tutta di lana lidia!" but it didn't suit dd at the end.

Brangelina · 22/01/2009 22:08

He might have thought you were Highlander, and he might have been a fellow immortal. You could have been beheaded.

yes, he said he felt kind... that meant another 2 wasted days at the counsulate!

francagoestohollywood · 22/01/2009 22:09

Who, me? 2.5 already?

Penthe, yes, that one!

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 22/01/2009 22:09

lol

Brangelina · 22/01/2009 22:10

I liked Lidia too, but DD didn't have the right face. It had to be something that started with a Fee sound. I thought of Phoebe but DP said no, so we came up with this compromise.

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 22/01/2009 22:10

I like Phoebe a lot.

PippiCalzelunghe · 22/01/2009 22:10

no all of you. 2.5 it's me! unbelieavable. I'm quite glad actually at least I have some kind of diary for the dds as I have kept absolutely none whatsoever.

sorry to change the subject btw.

Brangelina · 22/01/2009 22:11

It would have been a nightmare to spell and the Italian version is not so nice. Never mind, she's grown into her name now.

OP posts:
hothell · 22/01/2009 22:11

oh, i love the name Lidia.

PippiCalzelunghe · 22/01/2009 22:12

funny about sounds dd2 had to be an A sound even an AR hence the though of Aurora as well but was not convinced by eros connection and the english pron.

francagoestohollywood · 22/01/2009 22:12

I joined in 2006, or at least that's what it says on my profile.

Brangelina · 22/01/2009 22:12

I have no diaries either. I got given a baby book but it is blank.

OP posts:
SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 22/01/2009 22:12

well, I think it's a very sophisticated name, I used to like Phoebe, but I met a very irritating Phoebe, so don't like it anymore...

hothell · 22/01/2009 22:13

are your threads on mumsnet, a diary for your girls, pippi? what do you mean?

francagoestohollywood · 22/01/2009 22:13

My dd obviously would love to be an Aurora. She is very proud of her name, but then she is very proud of herself

Brangelina · 22/01/2009 22:14

That was my problem when lookiing for a name. I kept remembering irritating people with the names I liked. That's why we were at day 10 before we went to the comune.
