No, not really like a diary. I like mnetting. I'm over opinionated.

hothell · 22/01/2009 22:15

Sun, i know a very irritating Phoebe, into holistic stuff and astrology. hence don't like the name.
i gave my empty ds' babybook to the charity shop

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 22/01/2009 22:15

have blank baby book too... was going to fill it in when I was on leave before DD was born, but never gor round.

Only joined in august, searching for cloth nappy advice... then I found you lot tooo..

we're very chatty tonight!

francagoestohollywood · 22/01/2009 22:16

Hot, do you mean Phoebe Buffet, from Friends?

PippiCalzelunghe · 22/01/2009 22:16

no I mean that somehow I've got this part of my life recorded (I kept diaries almost all my life on and off except since dd1 was born) and I bet in all this chit chat there are loads of details re the kids, how they were, what they did, how I felt (crap and tired most times I bet etc) DYSWIM?

francagoestohollywood · 22/01/2009 22:17

Buffet?

I actually have 1 special photo album each, where I wrote down main tappe and their little first words

francagoestohollywood · 22/01/2009 22:18

yes pippi

Penthesileia · 22/01/2009 22:18

Oh - stop with the baby diary talk! I bought a stupidly expensive notebook from Smythson to record memories of DD.

Totally empty.

God. Now I feel guilty...

hothell · 22/01/2009 22:18

Yes, a sort of English version, lots of Phoebes in trendy parts of southern england i imagine. this particular phoebe is also into breastfeeding till the kids go home kind of thing.

PippiCalzelunghe · 22/01/2009 22:18

well done franca. my mum did say that I'll regret it and I already do as I do not remember anything already (first tooth etc)

Brangelina · 22/01/2009 22:19

Oh good, I'm not the only one. So when DD accuses me of being a neglectful mother sometime in the future I shall direct her to this thread to show her I'm Not alone.

hothell · 22/01/2009 22:20

Smythson stuff is nice!

Have done so much moaning on here i certainly don't wnat it to reflect my time with the kids (which i want to remember as a sunny walk in the park)

hothell · 22/01/2009 22:21

God, i would never want my kids to read my threads on mumsnet! How embarassing.

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 22/01/2009 22:21

I've kept my work diaries, so at least I wrote down main tappe there... really should do s.thing "proper"...

francagoestohollywood · 22/01/2009 22:21

I didn't write about teeth though. Feck!!! I'm doomed!

Sputnik · 22/01/2009 22:21

I would've liked Lydia for my DC2, but a) it's much to similar to DD's name, and b) he was a boy
I've been on here 4 years !

PippiCalzelunghe · 22/01/2009 22:22

yes and perversely I have recorded more (a couple of entries) for dd2. DD1 shook my world so badly that di grazie we are all st ill holding together

Brangelina · 22/01/2009 22:22

Make it up Franca, they'll never know...

OP posts:
Penthesileia · 22/01/2009 22:22

Ok. So, tomorrow if I come on here and I've not written anything in the notebook, you must tell me to fuck off go away and cherish my daughter's babyhood.

hothell · 22/01/2009 22:22

i remember nothing about teeth, words, a big effling blank. my mother remembered nothing as well...

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 22/01/2009 22:23

I have that calendar thing the registry office gave me, so I'm trying o keep up with that one, ready-made stickers are a bit easier...

hothell · 22/01/2009 22:23

Beh, carissime patatine, off to bed now, thank you for loud belly laugh...

PippiCalzelunghe · 22/01/2009 22:24

hot you don't sound moany at all in re to your kids!! them reading MN won;t bother me... it's the other ones that make me shiver like we said in the past.

I liked Juliet and Lyv. DH didn't.

hothell · 22/01/2009 22:24

Keep sniggering about rocco siffredi though, wonder if he will pop up in my dreams...

Brangelina · 22/01/2009 22:25

My baby book was faithfully filled in until something like 4yo, all my milestones, haircuts, birthday presents neatly listed by my dad... In contrast, my sister's book is blank, apart from her name and DOB. The novelty must have worn off.
