hothell · 22/01/2009 22:44

HIgh rate of depression and suicide amongst dentists, not worth it, Deffo a gp, then you can have a team of cleaners to clean the shit around yourselves. x

francagoestohollywood · 22/01/2009 22:44

Penthesileia · 22/01/2009 22:44

Seriously, though... If you do: email me at

o dot ma dot douleur @ googlemail dot com

and I will send it. I am going tomorrow!

Do not frequent Sainsbury's but Waitrose do food cards too... I could send you some of those as well... (altogether a finer food card, I'm sure... )

PippiCalzelunghe · 22/01/2009 22:45

I'm off now too, busy day tomorrow.

but WHY does DH has to switch every single light in the house when he goes through and leave them on?????

Brangelina · 22/01/2009 22:45

I'm not sure i could be doing with peering into strangers' mouths. What if they have farty breath? that must be why dentists wear masks.

Ciao ciao!

Bucharest · 23/01/2009 08:28

Morning all!

Glad to see someone else's child has decided sleep is for the weak.....Ended up having to go to bed with mine in the end last night as otherwise she'd have been up all night....

Orazio truly does ming, but his Italian voice is worthy of Dr Luka. You just have to keep your eyes closed...and I like the way he's sooooo strong and protective. The blonde woman with the stiff botoxy forehead gets me...she's OK in Italian, but in English she sounds like she's sucking on a helium balloon.

I've never had anything go missing from Book Dep, although as someone said, they do take about 10 days (and consume a lot of jiffy bags, everything comes separately)but they tend to be a wee bit cheaper anyway than Amazon, even without the free postage.

Still eyerolling at names.....there's also a family at dd's nursery where the sisters are called Daisy and Nancy and the newborn is Giuseppe. Daisy, Nancy and Giuseppe? WTF happened there then?

Brangelina · 23/01/2009 08:37

Mine was suitably whiney this morning, didn't want to get up, didn't like her clothes, didn't want breakfast.... No doubt she'll be awake at 6.30 am tomorrow, as happens every weekend.

The voices are much nicer in Italian, aren't they? I remember the first time I heard George Clooney in English I was horrified at the squeakiness. He has such a smooth manly voice in Italian. I forget how squeaky Amercian English is, my teeth start itching when I watch stuff I'd only ever seen in Italian. Mind you, I've had to resort to watching House DVDs in Italian again after finding it hard to follow in english.

How do they pronounce Daisy then? Is it Dye-sy?

OP posts:
Brangelina · 23/01/2009 08:42

Did anybody dream about Rocco, startling or otherwise? Sadly I didn't, just some boring dream about planes and airports.

OP posts:
Bucharest · 23/01/2009 08:47

Dezzy. (the parents)
Dye-easy- (the rest of the school)
Daisy (moi)

And Nancy is of course Nensi. (like regby (rugby) and Kerry (curry) Bless.

Brangelina · 23/01/2009 08:50

I've never understood why an a suddenly becomes an e if pronouncing English. I mean, you say gatto and not ghetto, don't you?

OP posts:
Brangelina · 23/01/2009 08:51

Mu mum says esband instead of husband, even after 40 odd years of speaking English.
