Morning everyone
Just received a copy of DS1's Disney commercials he did, is really funny seeing him on tv and having words to say too! lol

DS1 has a tv casting on Wednesday, anyone else got anything coming up? We have officially had a whole week off from a casting now and I have really enjoyed it!!

Still nothing for us, I know it's only been a month but I only one little job, just the one!

Hi HFD- Has slowed down for us the past two weeks, only one last week. Everyone will have their slow periods and busy, hectic periods so don't worry! My DS2 waited 7 weeks and then had 2 jobs and 2 castings within 2 weeks!! It's part of this industry, you just never know how anything is going to pan out, just gotta sit and wait unfortunately.

Melody - just how busy are your kids?!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are they going to miss loads of school? Mind you the way they are going who needs an education - they'll be "I'm not getting out of bed for less than a thousand darling" soon!!

As of yet DS1 has only taken half day off from school, other bits he did were during the holidays. Has had lot's of castings but managed to get them all outside of school hours.
DD has had one day off for her job and DS2 is not at school yet. Their education has alway's been important and are all well above average,so they do work hard so don't see why them doing this should be problem when we are on top of it.

I doubt the not getting out of bed would happen!! lol The idea sounds good though

To say nothing of it giving them a boost to their self esteem which is also important!

Oh yes, that was part of the reason we got into it, ds1 was getting bullied too!

I hope you are addressing the bullying with the school?! What's their policy like?

Oh it's defintely being dealt with now and DS1 has a fantastic teacher this year, has worked so hard to understand why ds1 may react quickly, or back off from trying to play etc and really has been wonderful. Academically it's one of the top school's in my area, so hopefully ds1 will gain alot more self esteem from acting and modelling to boost him up too!

Ichef--- it was me that wanted the hasbro leaflet, doe it contain a family playing either connect 4 or monoploy or a 12 year old with short brown hair..

Hi,

My DD did her first job last week for Tomy Toys which went really well and they were very pleased with her. As it's our first job (we're with BK) can i ask if the agency give you any feedback and if they tell you if their client is going to use your childs photos?

Nope, generally speaking you will not get feedback and you won't know if you're going to be used until it appears in the shops! You may get lucky occasionally and get feedback or find out but generally speaking it's a no unfortunately.

Glad your DD went did good, you must be really pleased

had experience of a tomy toys shoot, and ds never got used - even tho he was the only child used for those toys at our shoot, they obviously did another shoot - so dont be too hopeful, as its poss that u wont ever see them!! one of the toys my ds did still hasnt come out - and that was 18 months ago!!!

Actually I remember my DD doing a Tomy shoot when she was little and the same thing, was not used and was the only child that day.

There were two little girls on our shoot, my DD went first and after the second baby had had her shots done we had to go in and see if they need either of us again. When we went in they were looking through my DD's photos and said they had everything they needed, so hopefully they like her photos - my DH said the other little girl wouldn't even play with the toy.

hersetta - we were last in, and they said excellent that ds would play with the toys they hadnt got the others to play with - and the one toy finally came out with another childs pics on - so they obviously did another shoot - and that was after saying how great ds was and how theyd got just the shots they needed..... so pls dont hold ur breath wtg - they seem to do this alot

ds has consultation coming up for UA.. can anyone tell me if a white shirt is acceptable? or does it need to be more of a t-shirt? thanks
