Morning all

Am off to London again tomorrow for DS1 has a tv show casting, anyone have anything coming up?

Any of you had contract's through from UAN yet?

sobusy,
just let your agent know he has lost a tooth, it's shouldn't be too much of a problem, my ds knocked half of his adult tooth out at 7 and keeps having it rebuilt and it hasn't affected him at all.

Thanks dreadlocks. I'll let her know. Can't wait for UA North's website to open. This is so exciting! Wish I was as calm as the seasoned model mum's on this site!! You all seem to take everything in your stride! lol

tinkerbellchelle · 12/10/2008 21:16

Hi Everyone
Hope your all well - haven't managed to catch up with what's been going on. Just got back this afternoon, have got DS's contract from UAN but haven't read through it properly yet.

Will catch up with you all soon - hope everyones been busy x

julie: dd has been de-optioned for jr so this twilight zone scenario is over at least. I much prefer a straight yes or no.

dd is sad as she really wanted this job but such is life. She had casting at M&S the other day -two quick snaps on a Kodak in the foyer of the main building. I say 'quick', the only reason it took more than 2 mins was because people kept coming in and out of the building (understandably) and were getting in the way! As precious as it sounds, I'm giving M&S a knock on the head from hereon in .

julie4travel · 13/10/2008 09:15

altin - so sorry to hear that yet they obviously loved your dds look and will hopefully call on her again. maybe she didnt match up this time round with the other children. We have been dead as a doe doe since August now. I am guessing we will be quiet up till xmas now. We were like that last year couple castings oct and a couple of straight jobs dec. fingers crossed on m and s.

ichef · 13/10/2008 13:03

Hi everyone! Been away for a few days visiting my family back home in Sweden was fantastic having some time for myself while they looked after all my dc

Melody seems like your dc are still pretty busy, fantastic! Been quiet for us apart from a straight job ds2 had and dd has been pencilled for a job on thurdays so I suppose we should hear soon but not holding my breath.

Luce are you back yet? DS also has two photos on the website.

HellFireandDamnation · 13/10/2008 13:23

Looks like the credit crunch has hit doesn't it - first thing to go advertising budgets. Just heard that BMW are laying off loads of people so must all the other car people which means any dreams of 18k mentioned earlier are probably out the window!!!

Maybe will pick up for the sales?!!!!! That's only adverts tho...

Melody/Sequin 1 registered and now can see all photos - mostly lovely looking babies and kids unlike ES!!!!!!!!!!! Not sure how long it will be before pics g up (K has said they are ok now!!) as they appear to be very busy with website glitches!

HellFireandDamnation · 13/10/2008 13:25

Altin - that all sounds poo at least your dd is learning about life's knocks!

Why does it pick up again at XMas? Would have thought that was a quiet time with people being off?

Luce2006 · 13/10/2008 13:32

Melody Daisy, great news for DS2, fingers crossed!

yummymummyno1 · 13/10/2008 17:34

Hi all, I've read alot about Doctors notes and licences on this forum - is this needed for all child modelling jobs, its just my ds has first ever job this week and no-one has even mentioned a licence to me?

HellFireandDamnation · 13/10/2008 18:17

Melody - great!! My pics are updated - take a look much better!!

Yummy - your agency should have asked you to get a letter signed and stamped before any work.

Totallyfloaty35 · 13/10/2008 18:23

some jobs not licensed, usually last min photographic jobs, also babies dont really need drs note,on lots of jobs the parent just signs a declaration of health

yummymummyno1 · 13/10/2008 18:27

Ok so maybe I should mention this to the agency. My ds is 7 and it is a photographic job - can he still do the job without it? Sorry for all the questions, am new to all this.

Totallyfloaty35 · 13/10/2008 18:47

some clients dont license, you are meant to,but sometimes they dont.TV/Film,big ad campaigns always license, mag shoots etc dont always.

yummymummyno1 · 13/10/2008 19:21

Totally - thanks, hopefully should be ok. Am quite nervous as not sure what to expect, and really hoping ds will do as he is told!!

christabel · 13/10/2008 20:12

Hi any advice DD just 9 and desperate for ears piercing. Will this go against her for future jobs.

HellFireandDamnation · 13/10/2008 20:22

ES told me that they often sent people without the licence because they were a pain in the backside quote unquote. Eurpoean rubbish! Apparently quite a strong movement to get rid of it.

Christabel - no idea too new but have a look at pics and see how many have pierced ears would be my unhelpful advice! I guess very few but depends if they air brush where the hole is??

christabel · 13/10/2008 20:48

HellFireandDamnation - Never thought of airbrushing - suppose if they wanted her and she did have them pierced they would airbrush holes.

happychappy · 13/10/2008 20:58

Hi, want to ask all of you your advice.

My son is 6 and I think very nice looking, but I'm his Mum so I'm suppose to. However, I've had a number of people say how handsome her is and suggest he would be a good model, I've had the local policeman stop me and tell me how lucky I am to have such a beautiful son. We don't live in the UK, in a very children orientated country, so I've put a lot of it down to that but this year a friend, who is a interior designer, asked if my DS (and I) would be willing to do some shoots this winter.

It's got me thinking perhaps this is something he would enjoy, he's a born flirt and loves the camera. Where do I start? Another friend is a photographer and took some photos last year (for Daddys birthday). Any advice is welcome.

Sequin1 · 13/10/2008 21:01

Hey HFD and Melody Daisy, how do you register for the AK website, what do you put as the company name etc..

puffling · 13/10/2008 21:43

What country are you in Happychappy?
