To all UAN waiters - Good luck for Monday and hope the phone rings. I was told they are discussing everyone 12th and everyone would hear by end of day 15th so fingers crossed.

I think the successful get a phone call and the unsuccessful get a letter in the post.
Dont worry if you dont get call on the day they said ,as if i remember when my two got taken on all the mums on here had to wait a little longer.
If that makes any sense

Melody congrats on yet another casting ds must be pleased, do your other dc get jealous at all?

DD had her very first UK job yesterday and she loved it there were six kids in total and the photographer was really lovely.

ichef-It hasn't bothered them at all, I haven't really made a big deal about it at home either so they don't really mind There time will come, just may be when they are slightly older

Hi everyone, 1st post. After some info, has anyone had any dealings with Model Child in Macclesfield. I think i have had a lucky escape, picked them from their quite impressive website and my daughter was accepted from pics, we arranged to go for photo shoot but this was cancelled after driving an hour to get there cos the photographer had had a car crash so they said.. They rang to re-arrange the appt for today (sat 13th sep). My husband just happened to check the website and it had been shut down pending legal action. There was a link to a BERR document. I thought i would go and keep my appointment just in case which i did but surprise surprise there was no-one there. Does anyone have any info on the pending legal action, has anyone lost money here???? Also any recommendations for a REPUTABLE agency in the Lancs area. Thanks.

Just want to ask about payment for jobs. The agency my DD with pays approximately 8-12 weeks after job done. The last job DD did was Feb and got paid mid July. Is this the same for everyone else.

Hi christabel, Yes that sounds about right, it can also be a lot longer.Ds's agency sent out cheques every Friday but they have to have had the money from the company first.It does tend to be about 12 weeks. We had casting payment on sat 6th for a casting mid July so are now hoping all the others will follow as ds was busy in July (dead quiet now)

misdack-you must be soo relieved to have had this lucky escape Hopefully now you've found this site you'll get the best information you can to find the right agency for you.

hi all.

My poor little ds, is in hospital right now after falling from a climbing frame this afternoon and breaking his arm in 2 places.

Has been to theatre tonight, i went to sit with him when he came round, my dh is there all night.

He's in plaster up to his shoulder almost, and has a wire through the bones, but he's ok.

No jobs for us for a while,

He's so little, bless him, he was so brave.

Your poor little ds, hope he gets better soon, well done to you too for getting through it - there's nothing worse than your little one being poorly.
Send him our love and good luck for a speedy recovery.

Hiya ladies

Sarah just phoned and offered DD a contract!!!!!!

She said she will be posting out contract this week and i need to send birth cirtificate, doctors note (to state she is fit and well) and passport photos etc which will all be explaned fully in letter.

Can't wait to tell Sophie when she gets in from school
