Good news that CFKAC are well. Hopefully onwards from there with recovery.

Oops at the pouch of food being left out and subsequently destroyed!

Jigsaw is finished. I’ve a couple of old map ones but definitely not 3,000 pieces! I’ve some 2,000 piece ones which I’d love to do but I need to figure out where to do them. I’ve got an Underground one which is one of my favourites 😊

Yesterday was very much oh the sun’s out that’s nice, followed two minutes later by staring open-mouthed at the heavy rain.

I do the BBC website sudoku. Start with the easy one and then work up to difficult. Was a bit hmm at myself for not whizzing through the easy one the other day and then realised it was the medium one.

DS2 is being a bit of an arse which is nice as I’ve just sat in a car park waiting for him as I was on SportingActivity drop off duty and there’s no point going back home to then go and pick him up. And I’m tired so I think I shall go to bed.

I have been out at an unexpected gig, due to someone else dropping out and me picking up a free ticket. It wasn't entirely my cup of tea, but fun to watch DS having lots of fun.

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrgh. Woke up at 1:30 - DS not home (wasn't expecting him) Woke up at 2:40 - DS not home, so I went downstairs to text him for an eta. DS home at just after 3am. I was still awake at 4am... DH up at 7:30 for SportingActivity - miraculously, I got back to sleep, woke up again at 8:15 to DH leaving with the parting shot that he's seen a mouse run under the shoe rack. <sigh>

I have fed the cats (DH had them on half rations because...?) refilled the chicken's water that I filled yesterday but left on the wonk so it all drained out again, set up the mouse trap, wrestled with the AA's bloody app to call them out... I'm not in a bad mood, I'm just tired and a bit done with it all. Breakfast would probably be a good idea, and getting dressed.

Any chance of a nap today letus? I had to resort to one on Thursday afternoon, bit easier for me though as there's no-one else in my house who might start yapping!

Roof man came round yesterday, so fingers crossed for a quote that isn't eye-watering, my savings have taken a bit of a bashing recently 😨 at least he replaced my temporary patch-up so I don't have to channel MrA and climb onto the roof to replace it myself.

TCFKAC is still being quiet and sleeping a lot, I'm hoping that the pain relief is allowing him to rest properly at last.

Afternoon. Nice day, no rain. We had a tree chopped down yesterday as it was leaning rather precariously and I was scared that if it got windy it would fall into the road. DH is currently getting the huge roots out with an axe and lump hammer or something. I've told him not to come moaning to me when he can't play golf next week because he's buggered his shoulder up again.

Sympathies with the night-time talking LetUs, very annoying.

Oh gosh Helen, waiting for them to come in in the night is awful. Hope the car has been sorted.

Didn’t have a nap. Went to see parents this afternoon as I’m chauffeuring DH to a sporting thing tomorrow. And other than a bit of house work I’ve just, well, sat.

Evening all. Mini-meet has been cancelled by sodding seized calipers - MrAA released them and fiddled about, then they seized again the first time I tried them. So he said no driving other than to the garage to get it fixed. FML, etc.

I had a bit more sleep after he left, but still feel like a spaced out zombie, so probably just as well I haven't tried driving anywhere. (Own-brand Red Bull has been drunk.) DH is also feeling wiped out and a bit rough, so just as well I haven't gone anywhere. We might amount to one fit and healthy person between the two of us!

Fingers crossed for the roofing quote Fancy, and side-eyes at MrA. Hope that LetUs's day has improved and Wicked is having a good weekend with NewCat.

Morning all. Really don't think shaking me and DH about in a bag would end well, he was up several times in the nice trying to throw up and is genuinely well ropey - hot and cold and prickly and achey and... I think I need to take his car to the supermarket pronto and load up on shopping in case I go down with it too :( Just as well mini-meet was cancelled. I wouldn't want to take his lurgy visiting with me, and he's rather have an adult in the house who hasn't keeled over (yet).

I too want to see the 'told you so' dance - maybe LetUs could give us a slow-mo version?

Afternoon. Lovely day. I watched a football match earlier whilst knitting and then went out on the sun lounger to recuperate. It was a bit of a nail-biter, which is difficult to do when you’re knitting. DH seems to be alright after the efforts of yesterday.

What a shame about your weekend Helen. Terrible timing but perhaps just as well. Hope MrHelen is better soon and you don’t go down with it.

DH did very well in his sporty thing this morning. If binge watching the second series of Book is a sporty thing, then I’m doing very well too.

Evening all. DH has spent that day in bed feeling various levels of bleurgh. Though he hasn't thrown up since last night, so that's good. I dozed on the sofa this afternoon and felt absolutely foul afterwards Caffeine and food have helped. I'm hoping for a less disturbed night tonight.

DS2 has started back at university. He was very chipper about it which is good.

I’m off for a few days which is even better. Annual health check today, physio tomorrow and a whole lot of nothing planned for the rest of it.

Lovely sunny day, so the second load of washing is on the line, the only excitement of this afternoon is DS has a dentist appointment. I'm still trying to book my car in to be fixed, and a bit of work has been done, but not much since I was meant to be away!

Glad to hear that MiniLetUs has gone back to Uni with a spring in is step.

Afternoon. Lovely sunny day and quite hot. I did a Sainsbury shop this morning which was quite fraught. First of all they'd changed all the fresh food round and I couldn't find some of my usual stuff so came away without it. Then there was an old couple at the till who didn't seem to know what they were doing and held everything up. Then my bananas wouldn't scan and the lady on the till asked me to take them to customer service which I did. Then the exit barrier wouldn't go up so I went out of the entrance when someone came in, and that set the alarm off so I had to wait for someone to come and sort that. Then some guy on the car park asked me if I was thinking of selling my car. Errr, no, but he was very interested in it and I don't mind answering questions about it. I get this a lot as the car is very old and now rare. I was shattered when I got home.

This afternoon we sat outside and sudokued.

Glad MrHelen is getting better and Helen hasn't gone down with it.

Well done to MrLetUs and LetUsDS2. Hope annual health check went well.

DS2’s mood was not quite as chipper when he got home but I’m putting that down to being hungry and the early start. And being a bit of an arse.

Good news re illing Helen.

Oh blimey Apricot, what a day! There are times when you find yourself looking round for the hidden cameras as what’s happening can’t be real. And please supermarkets stop moving stuff around. Is the idea that they think shoppers will buy extra things whilst hunting for what they actually want? Because do you know what supermarkets, no, it just pisses people off. And the thing with it being more difficult to actually get out of the bloody shop. I understand added security blah blah blah, but it shouldn’t be like a round of the Krypton Factor to get out!

Health check was fine. Rest of the day was quite relaxing. Suppose I’d better make more of an effort to be productive tomorrow.

That's good that DS2 was chipper about uni letus, hopefully he was just adjusting to the early start re the grumpiness.

No-one needs that level of hassle just to get groceries apricot, what a palaver! It massively pisses me off when supermarkets move stuff around, I end up wasting so much time.

TCFKAC had another check up today and the vet was quite pleased with him - he has a way to go and it's still too early to know what the extent of any recovery will be, but I think he was a little better than she expected. He seems to have generated a small fan club there who were also worried about him judging by the questions about how he has been from the reception staff. Vet thought his breathing was very slightly better, he has put a bit of weight back on and despite the bladder damage he had, his tests were negative for UTIs.

Evening all. This evening I have started sneezing and snuffling, so who knows what variation of lurgy is brewing... DH has had his first proper meal for about 3 days though, so that's good. Slinky worried us by vanishing for most of the day - I made her reappear by WhatsApping neighbours to see if they'd seen her. Typical cat!

Good to hear that TCFKAC is improving and the vet is happy. Also hurrah for health check going well and a relaxing day for LetUs. Not good to hear about Apricot's stressful supermarket trip though - no-one needs that level of stress. I'm sure that if supermarkets were about in Dante's day, re-jigged layouts would have been one of the layers of Hell.

Morning all. It was cloudy, but has come out all sunny now. If DH got out of bed I could wash the bedding. <side-eyes at DH>

I will shortly have shenanigans picking DS-GF - a road is closed between us and her bus. I think that parking the other side of the closure and walking up will be the way to go, but I don't think he's warned her.
