Morning all. Tiiiiiiired. <le sigh> Do you think anyone would notice if I just stayed in bed and chilled out today. (Spoiler, yes they would.) DH is working away, DS needs lifts and has shorter days due to exams etc. <le siiiigh> I'm sure work won't mind if I skedaddle early and WFH, but if I'd realised earlier, it might have been easier just WFH full stop.

Aww to best friends not-quite-as-snuggly-as-a-cat dog. Kittens have been causing mayhem; IdiotKitty is hiding/sulking outside. I haven't blowtorched the chicken shed this morning. Arse. <gets off arse...>

Afternoon. Cloudy with bits of sun all day. I hoovered and dusted the upstairs this morning, don’t know where the energy came from. This afternoon I’ve been altering a winter jumper which has always been a bit short. I found some of the yarn so I’m letting a panel in which is a bit fiddly but will hopefully give it a new lease of life.

There has been much rain and some thunder round-about, but not where I was. Kittens are idiots while I was busy cooking tea and have knocked over some lego which I kept telling DS to move. [eye roll]

Work involved telling someone how to do something, which I'd been telling them for ages to book a meeting with me to run through, but they didn't so they had wasted much time doing a process manually which I had already automated <sigh> #PeopleWon'tBeTold etc.

Just back from Book Club which was rather lovely again, although the noise of people from a nearby bar shouting and shrieking was a little annoying. I mean how very dare people be out and about enjoying themselves in the evening sunshine 😁

Many sympathies re the just do as you’re fecking told work situation Helen.

Forecast thunder did not arrive. Can’t remember if it actually rained during the day. Windy though.

Also in awe of Apricot’s knitting skills. I do not have the ability to do anything like that with yarn.

Woke up very early and brain is going at a million miles an hour.

Morning all. Moment of terror last night. I left a window open and the kittens got out though it 😱Fortunately I realised that everything was deathly quiet fairly quickly, and they hadn't got beyond exploring on the patio and flowerbed. Even more fortunately, DS had his head screwed on, and while they just ran away from me when I approached them, he got a shoelace for them to chase and lured them back in. Then poor IdiotKitty got shut out all night because no-one unblocked the catflap once the kittens were shut in the kitchen, and he left was outside. (He has survived but was a bit hungry and hoovered his evening biscuits and his breakfast.)

Idiot is currently lying in a puddle of sunlight on the carpet, swatting at any kitten that gets too close. Though I get the impression he sort-of wants to play with them, but is a bit scared to. They've just shot out of hte room and he's stretched out with a big sigh
Anway. There endeth the epistle of cat news.

Am quite pleased to hear we haven't all been washed away! Have been very dull here - work and a bit of weeding really. Fortunately, no more dead squirrels - whole or dissected - hurrah!

That must have been a worry helen, but well done MiniHelen, excellent cat-wrangling skills there.

Hopefully your brain has relaxed now letus? I'm also in awe of apricot's knitting skills, my mum and her mum were also good knitters - particularly skilled at correcting my errors

Tomorrow I'm back to the dentist - there is a small crack in the problem tooth so a more robust filling is needed.

Kittens spent the afternoon asleep on DH while he was working, and they are now swinging between rampaging and being cute. IdiotKitty has just gone out, so the cat flap will stay well and truly available!

I need to go and do the emptying of the litter tray and then breakfast prep. Control your excitement everyone

Afternoon. Cloudy with the odd shower this morning, but it’s gone sunny this afternoon and warmer. The washing has dried and I’ve done a load of ironing. I don’t do much, so I tend to let it build up and do it all together.

Not-quite-morning all. Sunny and windy here, with big clouds floating about.

Today's to do list involves planting veg out, and hanging washing, and doing a supermarket shop. There's a possibly gig tonight in NearestCity, but we'll see how we feel about that this evening.

Spot has just flomped down on my lap and is purring her head off. This level of contentment has enticed Slinky out of the lego box where she was hiding, because Slinky is a green-eyed monster who can't be left out of any potential fuss. That has wound Spot up and now they're off my lap and rolling about wrestling each other again. Who needs a TV to watch with these little idiots providing entertainment? (IdiotKitty is upstairs sleeping.)

Afternoon. Same weather here Helen. DH is pruning and tidying the life out of the garden as he’s definitely going away on Monday with the golfers and he thinks it will be a jungle when he gets back.

Tomorrow we’re hopefully going to DS’s for a barbecue as there’s an air show at the RAF base just down road from him and we’ll get a good view. I say hopefully as the traffic will be horrendous so it might be difficult to get to him.

Greetings from Italy! I’ve been up since 2am and didn’t sleep very well before that so knackered! Hotel is lovely, weather is rather warm, and there are many many young children to whom my tolerance levels seem to have dropped massively 🙈. I suspect being tired isn’t helping (me or them).

Anyway, get the cat books written Helen then you can be a famous author and we can be all “oh I know her”.

Visited the vet this week and Fräsan has lost some more weight and they also discovered more lymph nodes on the ultrasound so the cortisone isn't really working. So she's getting a higher dose now and we will se how it works out.

Afternoon. Nice day. We had a lovely barbecue at DS’s, the traffic was non-existent as we went round a back route and the planes were spectacular if noisy.

Hope Fräsan is feeling well in herself WW in spite of the weight loss and lymph nodes. Yay for three weeks off work.

I've spent all day doing garden things, so not much to report really. It's been warm and sunny all day - pleasantly t-shirt-warm. What I haven't done is the washing because DH wanted stuff washed, but didn't put it in the basket. So... <shrug>
