Is anyone watching this at the moment? What do you think about the Laura/Garry/Ian/Lynne storyline? Do you think Laura is behaving unreasonably? Should Garry have to live up to his responsibilities?

I think he probably should, but that Laura is out of order - she keeps going on about 'What sort of a man cheats on his wife for a quickie when he's drunk?' when of course, that's exactly what she's done (but obviously to her husband!).

Bagpipes, Lisa isnt dead. In a special episode they showed how Phil tracked her down, convinced her she was mad and that the baby would be better off with him. In her fragile and confused state Lisa agreed and handed the baby over. Cant remember how the blood got there but it wasnt anything nasty.

ThomCat · 14/08/2003 23:27

The place where the wedding was 2nite was round the corner from me, mu BM got married there!

naughtynoonoo · 15/08/2003 11:18

Boe - I got my gossip of Skynews - entertainment on the net, I heard on another site that there is a wedding pending for next year - any guesses on that one? Was it any good last night, we were out and also missed the one on BB3

Northerner · 15/08/2003 11:21

I hope next years wedding is Kat and Alfie.

monkey · 15/08/2003 11:40

Why are there so many prostitues and ex-pros in Eastenders????

I missed the last couple of weeks - any developments on Laura's baby? I saw that she realised that Gary wasn't the father, but then decided not to say anything. Has he found out yet, and has she worked out who dun it?

bunny2 · 15/08/2003 20:44

Thomcat, was it the Edgewarebury Hotel? We had lunch there after getting married.

anais · 15/08/2003 21:46

Sorry, but I still haven't worked out whose wedding it was. Someone enlighten me, please????

ThomCat · 15/08/2003 22:57

Bunny - No it was the Grimsdyke. Old Reading, opposite 'Inspiration Point', not far from Harrow Weald Territary college etc etc. Do you know where I mean?

bunny2 · 16/08/2003 20:58

Cheers Thomcat. Dh insisted it was where we went but I have to day it didnt look at all familiar to me.

Poor Janine, Barrys insatiable.

bunny2 · 16/08/2003 20:59

Anais, I have no idea.

tallulah · 26/08/2003 20:58

Am I missing something, or does this whole Phil's house storyline make no sense? How can an ex-employee rent out your house, then you have no right to chuck them out?! Would you leave someone in your house with all your things & move out yourself? I wouldn't!

Also their attitude towards the Moon's when they've imposed themselves on them... If you are in tied accomodation, can your employer just move in without a by-your-leave?

I missed the week before last. What happened at the Hindu wedding to upset Elvis & his friend?

wickedstepmother · 26/08/2003 21:10

Tallulah

In a nutshell - Madhur Jaffrey was at the wedding and told Elvis' girlfriend that she was his (supposedly dead) wife. Understandably gf was upset by this and confronted Dan (Elvis) about it upon her return from the Ladies. Kareena (irritating, dithery daughter) took this as her cue to tell her (and the entire room full of reception guests) the full story, cue the tears, angry shouting and much kerfuffling about. Upon their return to Albert Square none of the guests are taking to each other !

I completely missed the boat on the Phil's house storyline though. I turned on and there was some curly haired bloke living in Phils house, bizarre.

wickedstepmother · 26/08/2003 21:17

I'm also getting fed up with the 'Nanna Moon is crackers' storyline already. I have the feeling this one is going to go on and on, and on, and on............

lou33 · 27/08/2003 00:02

I thought Nanna Moon was already supposed to be crackers. I think Eastenders is really dull at the moment.

Janstar · 27/08/2003 11:05

tallulah, if you went on hols and found someone living in your house when you got back, I believe that if they had been let in, rather than breaking and entering, they would have squatters rights.

tallulah · 27/08/2003 18:00

wickedstepmother, thanks for update!

Janstar- really? That's awful.

mum28 · 27/08/2003 18:11

whats the deal on ronnie falling out with kareenas ex?

mum28 · 27/08/2003 18:14

is pauline fowler a soft touch with martin or what.she is a mug.

spacemonkey · 27/08/2003 18:53

i can't imagine why pauline is still in it - she's awful (and a rubbish wooden actress - sorry wendy r!)

mum28 · 27/08/2003 18:59

just imagine if you had a son like martin

spacemonkey · 27/08/2003 19:01

i only love watching eastenders so i can moan about how awful it is

martin is quite an entertaining character these days

i've been enjoying cringeing at the whole barry/janine thing

and it's worth watching for kat slater alone!

bunny2 · 27/08/2003 21:11

I hate the old people threads, DOt Cotton losing her faith had to be the worst but Granny Moons slow mental deterioration comes close. I switch off for a few weeks when these stories start and I dont return until a decent storyline.

bundle · 29/08/2003 23:55

I really want Lisa to come back in the middle of Phil's wedding & cause ructions - and then start a torrid affair wtih Martin, in memory of his vanished (to the Bill) brother Mark
LOVE the Janine stuff, she's superb.

rainbow · 30/08/2003 00:07

I am n Eastend girl. My life is not half as depressing as Albert square. Pauline never smiles, Dot neither, nobody says anything unless it is to complain. Come on smile. You might even like it.!

happycat · 07/10/2003 23:55

Has anyone else noticed that vicky has dropped her annoying fake american acent and now speaks perfect english (not even cockney)
