Is anyone watching this at the moment? What do you think about the Laura/Garry/Ian/Lynne storyline? Do you think Laura is behaving unreasonably? Should Garry have to live up to his responsibilities?

I think he probably should, but that Laura is out of order - she keeps going on about 'What sort of a man cheats on his wife for a quickie when he's drunk?' when of course, that's exactly what she's done (but obviously to her husband!).

breeze · 08/01/2003 08:31

yeah tried to do a big cheesy grin, didn't work though.

breeze · 08/01/2003 16:55

learn't how to do them now

Bozza · 08/01/2003 17:03

Tracey can't act - thats my main criticism of her - but yes it does make me want to slap her. She also seems to have had elocution lessons while she was away....

I too was shouting "Wendy Crozier" at DH - but he was not altogether impressed. Maybe I should concentrate on getting him to know whats going on in real life before we progress onto the Street.

Sorry wanted to join in and Corra is my only soap.

Temptress · 08/01/2003 17:05

lol... but did you mean to post on the Eastenders thread or the corrie one!!!

breeze · 19/01/2003 15:31

Ok, anyone know what is going to happen with the laura/ian/garry/lynne situation. I have not heard anything on this one, but have just watched some of the onmibus (b4 ds wanted cbeebies on) and I think that Laura will have a mis-carriage because she has started buying things, like a pram, and i always thought that it is bad luck to have the pram in the house until baby born.

leese · 19/01/2003 18:54

Yeah - how wierd - where did she find the cash for a coach bulit silver cross?!...they're mega bucks new, and expensive used. Is it so she'll look like Nanny pushing around the square?.......

Claireandrich · 19/01/2003 20:02

My younger sister reads all the 'gossip' mags at uni and she has read that the baby is born black and that it turns out to be Paul's! No idea if this is true but could be an interesting twist in a few months time.

musica · 19/01/2003 20:14

I have to say, I wondered if it was going to be Gus' - when she discovered she was pregnant, I looked back over the episodes, and about the time of Tom's funeral which tied in with her dates, she came home wearing Gus' hat. So I did wonder if it might be born black!

PS - I know I'm tragic...!

Didnt the money come from Garry for the pram?

Claireandrich · 19/01/2003 20:50

Yes, I think so. Garry gave her money (his holiday money) and she bought the pram with some of it.

AngieL · 19/01/2003 20:53

I'm convinced that the baby will be black. I didn't even see the episode when the dirty deed was done, but I'm sure the baby will be Gus or Paul's.

What about Natalie and Ricky, what's going to happen there? Is there any couple on any of the soaps that have actually stayed faithful? I can't think of one!

emsiewill · 19/01/2003 20:58

Jack & Vera? Think he might have wanted to be unfaithful, but never had a chance....
Apart from them, I'm wracking my brains & can't think of another one.
Oh, I know - Phil and Jill in the Archers (to my knowledge, anyway)

Claireandrich · 19/01/2003 20:59

Natalie and Ricky get caught. That's all I know I'm afraid.

I don't even wath the programme that much - honest!

breeze · 19/01/2003 21:40

just watched the rest of eastenders, and when ian gives the pram to laura, he gives her an invoice and said 'and you can pay for it'.

leese · 20/01/2003 18:14

Yep - and don't reckon the £250 from Gary would even begin to cover that.....!!

breeze · 20/01/2003 18:22

I didn't read that she was coming out of it, does that mean that Ian will come round and take Laura back?

Am i the only one to hate and feel sorry for ian at the same time. I think he is a brilliant character.

Ems · 20/01/2003 18:26

One of the mags in the newsagents today had 3 Eastenders women on it, saying which one is pregnant?! There was Sonia, Kat, and Sam.

bundle · 20/01/2003 18:30

I hope it's Sam...the thought of Evil Trevor's progeny haunting Lil'Mo is a terrific storyline
If it's Kat, then that'll be 2 brown babies...and Sonia would probably go completely loop-the-loop and make the baby have a floppy fringe like Jamie!
Oh - and did anyone hear Dead Ringers on Radio 4? they had the Slaters arriving in Ambridge....

breeze · 20/01/2003 18:31

I hope its sonia, that would be nice (saying that it is Eastenders) so my money is on Kat, who has Sam been seeing?

lou33 · 20/01/2003 20:56

My daughter told me that Kat gets pg and tells Anthony but then miscarries. She is an Eastenders addict so scans the sites for upcoming news!

mieow · 20/01/2003 21:23

All 3???? Nope its Kat! She miscarries though.

mieow · 20/01/2003 21:25

My cousin reckons that one of the soaps (don't know which one) is going to a storyline where a woman gives birth to a baby with two sexes. Whether this is true but WOW!!!!!!!!
