Is anyone watching this at the moment? What do you think about the Laura/Garry/Ian/Lynne storyline? Do you think Laura is behaving unreasonably? Should Garry have to live up to his responsibilities?

I think he probably should, but that Laura is out of order - she keeps going on about 'What sort of a man cheats on his wife for a quickie when he's drunk?' when of course, that's exactly what she's done (but obviously to her husband!).

16? No ... what has happened to the time? Was it really 16 years ago that Miiiiiiichelle played away with Den??????
Now I feel ancient!

Hi everyone - Wow thanks with this update - I am so excited about seeing it all now. I dont' watch Coronation Street, but do watch Shortland Street here in NZ. Thanks very much to everyone, who replied to my message - your all such lovely people

mum2toby · 25/04/2003 09:54

Bagpipes - judging by your mumsnetter name are you a fellow Scot????

Bagpipes · 26/04/2003 09:52

Hi Mum2toby - Nope I am not scottish - But yes, did play the bagpipes as a child.

naughtynoonoo · 24/06/2003 21:53

I know i've only got a few minutes to go, but is Eastemders worth watching (on Digital @ 10.00????? It is either this or Big Brother (may be good tonight as they had a boozy night last night)

wickedstepmother · 24/06/2003 22:03

Turns out that you're even older than you thought, Ghosty, Vicky is 17 !!

naughtynoonoo · 24/06/2003 22:14

Scary thing is we may be sharing a pregnany with her, surely she will be due in February! Sharon is getting on my nerves, its not her life, let the kid sort it out herself!

sibble · 25/06/2003 05:25

OMG - have just read the whole thread and feel like I have read the end of a book, skipping the middle. Now 'enders in back on in NZ an setting video at lunchtime to watch it (how sad). Tom and nasty Trevor have just died in the fire. And yes Ghosty, I would rank 'enders up there in the top 10 of things missed from home, along with Daddies sauce. Toasted sarnies are just not the same without it. Keep the info coming.

Hurray for KAt and Alfie, about time too. Does anyone else think Little Mo is a really unconvincing actress or is it just me?

breeze · 20/07/2003 08:14

Found out this morning that Garry is not the father of Laura's baby. Has anyone else hurt this or even know who the real father is.

Bunny2, I think little mo does the emotional stuff really well especially all that with Trever, but I am with yu on the general acting, saying that its probably just her voice.

I heard that its not Garrys baby too, after the baby gets ill and its has a blood test with shows that Garry can't be the father. I think it will have a disorder that is only carried in coloured people. So Paul and Gus are back in picture

breeze · 20/07/2003 10:29

I have seen the baby and its white though.

I recon Phil thats why he has been so nice to her, also she knows what Phil is like with his kids so she pretended it was garry's

breeze · 20/07/2003 10:30

Mieow, posts crossed. I feel a bit sorry for Garry now

MrsS · 20/07/2003 13:02

Breeze - how come you have seen the baby already ?? Have the tabloids got some piccies or are you an insider

Also, I don't think I'm being over sensitive here, but the recent storylines of Alfie spending a whole episode looking for a condom and Phil and Dennis going around with guns and trying to kill each other are completelty inappropriate for a soap shown at 7.30 pm. I am thinking of making an official complaint to the Beeb about it

mieow · 20/07/2003 13:15

some mixed-race babies are white at birth and slowly get darker

pie · 20/07/2003 14:08

I reckon, and this is a guess, that the baby will turn out to be Ians' I know he had his tubes tied but it is still possible, even if the day he went for his sperm test he was clear. Doesn't it take a while for all the sperm to work its way through?

No I am not the press, its on the front cover of what's on tv this week.

I hope ti does turn out to be Ian's wipe that smug look off his face.

mieow · 04/08/2003 18:18

I read in this weeks TV guide that Ricky notices an uncanny likeness of Baby Bobby to his son Liam......... Maybe its Ricccckkkkeeeeeee's!! after all!!!!

lou33 · 04/08/2003 20:49

Judging by the constipated look on Laura's face every time she saw Ricky tonight I think it may well be his!

LIZS · 04/08/2003 20:59

I hope we're going to get some real medical explanation of this and not just enter the airy fairy soap world of amazing coincidences!!

eidsvold · 04/08/2003 22:07

I remember reading it somewhere or hearing someone talking about it - apparently if the baby needed a transfusion - daddy ( Gary ) would be on hand with his blood. Laura mentioned the blood type to the nurse who said it could not be right as Gary's blood type would not produce a child with the baby's blood type - and so all is revealed that way I think.

lou33 · 04/08/2003 23:17

Not that we are taking this seriously of course .

bunny2 · 05/08/2003 22:54

Is Jack, son of Barry, an amazing child prodigy or what? At only 2 y/o he can do really detailed drawings of Mummy and Daddy.
