So another thread got me thinking... how often do you wash your clothes??

I'll go first -

Knickers and socks - one wear
Bras - maybe 2/3 wears (sports bra 1 wear)
Tops - 1 or 2 wears
Jumpers - maybe 3 wears
Trousers - maybe 2 wears
Pjs - 2 wears

Just wondering how I compare to others!

Change day knickers every day and night one every night. Other clothes till they look dirty or smell which ever is first.

Washing takes the guts and colour out of
the fabric In other words washing wears out clothes more than when it is worn.
This in turn, keeps the conglomerates dealing in washing products and clothing in business causing the continuation of global warming.

Cheap clothing from China is making low paid people work a 72-hour week.

I don't wear the same outer clothes 2 days running very often, so it all gets a rest after 1 day and gets reused until it 'needs' washing - usually several wears.
Knickers one day, bras several non consecutive wears.
I hate when you're out walking and the people walking by, reek of laundry products - I bet they're 'wash after 1 wear' people, so the strong perfume builds up & up

I bought a black cashmere jumper before Christmas, I must have worn it around 20 times, so far it still looks unworn....still unwashed.
Other cashmere jumpers and cardigans, I have worn maybe 4 or 5 times, then handwashed, they tend to bobble more the more they are washed...so I reckon the advice you were given holds some truth.

Yes!! So many people exude an aroma of Lenor

Underwear/tights must be clean every day

Bras once a week

Wool/cashmere jumpers can go a whole year or more if you wear a tee shirt underneath.

Skirts... again wool or very thick and dry clean only . Wear over tights and a slip so never smell.

I bought it in one of the larger M&S shops.
Black long sleeved roll neck, I think it cost £100.

So far even though I have worn it loads, no bobbling at all, hopefully after I hand wash it it'll look as good.
