Morning. We didn't have frost here - too much cloud about still. It's sunnier this morning though. And cold. But it is, as you say LetUs, a short week - hurrah!

Afternoon. Lovely sunny day but very cold. The Northern Lights were visible from the village up the road, but I looked out and nothing.

Darts are on-going downstairs so I’m upstairs knitting. Hope everyone’s had a good day.

It's also cold here - the lawn has frosted and the bird bath has frozen over. I think I'm about to be a cat bed.. yep. WobblyCat has landed on me. (Still wobbly with no further improvement, but she's mostly fine.)

Brrrrrr took ages to get the car defrosted this morning. Fortunately DS2 not back at college until next week so didn’t have to factor that in.

Mostly fine is quite good and no worse I suppose Helen.

Darts on here too but with added snoring from DH. I have just “nudged” him. He claims he wasn’t asleep.

Work was surprisingly quiet. There’ll be more darts tonight but at least it’s the final.

OMG Wicked - brrrrr!

I have worked all day (spreadsheets, spreadsheets and more spreadsheets) and now I'm at SportingActivity - not very exciting, but at least I'm not having darts or football inflicted on me. The snow mostly melted - some of it dripping through a velux, so DH has been put in charge of getting someone in to take a look at it.

Morning all. The manshapes have gone off to SportingActivity and, hurrah, and I eventually got back to sleep for a lie-in! Double-hurrah.

Today I have a fun day of tidying and trying to sort out the paper-bomb sit that is my desk . Think of me kindly - if I'm not back, then chances are I've filed myself in the cabinet on accident.

Early start into town before meeting BestFriend. Back home and some housework done.

NC and I had to look for something on a boss’s desk recently. Renowned for being less than organised. I swear there were papers on there (not related to files or anything) that were over 10 years old. I think it needs a skip and several sweeps of the arm to sort it all.

Afternoon. It’s very cold out there. I went out to post a parcel this morning and there was a lot of ice about.

I’ve done nothing since except knit and be a cat bed.

Wasn’t too bad when I went out this morning but I had to help DH with something in the garden mid-afternoon and it was much colder.

Decorations are done and away. Tree needs to go back in the box and the cards have to come down.

Have done some knitting and washing and housework.

Evening. I have hiccups. The annoying, jolting, tiring sort. blurgh.

Paperwork has been tidied, filed and piled up, plus the charity shop pile has been boxed. Also bloody cold here, but I'm told that it will get warmer for tomorrow, which is good because I made the mistake of ordering some bare root plants, which need to be potted up asap, and I'd prefer not to give myself frostbite!

Tomorrow is de-decorating day here.

Evening. Have been over to FancyMan's mum today, got home just as the snow started to settle. It is still there, about 2cm of it and it can fuck right off <glares outside>

Morning all. I have baked and exercised and haven't done anything about planting yet. No snow here just cold, grey and drizzling. Brrr.

Afternoon. Woke up to a covering of snow but it’s mostly gone now. I haven’t been outside but it looks very cold.

We have to take DH’s car in to have the new door fitted in the morning after the debacle last month, so I hope there isn’t more snow. My car isn’t good in bad weather. We’ll take the tree and everything down when we get back.

Planting has been done - if they all produce plants then I've got two bonus ones. It didn't actually feel too cold out either, though I was dressed for the weather.

Decorations are down, other than the cards. I need to do those still. And the lights up the stairs, though I'm thinking that those are just pretty lights and we might just leave them to be 'lights that help keep us cheerful through the winter months', rather than 'Christmas' lights. The tree is also still in - it seems a bit cruel to lob it straight out when it's been used to being toasty, so it will get moved out gradually. (i.e. to a colder room, and then outside.)

Hope that car door goes without a hitch Apricot, and you don't get snow issues.

Back to 'school run' tomorrow - dooooooom. I've got used to 8am wake-ups!

Snow and cold here. Am hoping the rain has washed quite a bit of it away though.

Have done visiting, mending a crochet blanket and taking it back to its owner, had LovelyMIL round for lunch, ironing, made flapjacks, and knitted. I’ve had a few nights’ bad sleep on the run so I’m hoping for a better night tonight.

All decorations and cards are down.

Rain has largely washed the snow away, so hoping that drains away before the temperature drops. Have had a very unexciting day of prep for the decorator tomorrow - lots of working out where the hell to put stuff while rooms get painted. Only ventured outside to put the bins out and clear away a dead rat.

Fingers crossed for the car apricot and a good night's sleep for you letus. That sounds like a good plan for the lights Helen, today was the day the mornings finally started getting lighter - yay!
