I think we all need a group hug.

Berrie, I'm a bit nervous about the stopping drinking as well (ok, not this w/e, but generally). We'll see. Maybe it's all about turning 40? It's my turn next year.

BottlebinBerrie · 09/05/2008 09:39

Humph Oggs!
October anyway.

BottlebinBerrie · 09/05/2008 09:41

We've been needing to stop drinking so much for half our lives. We've given up too many times to remember but somehow this time our heads were in the right place.
About turning 40, as I've said before, I wouldn't know being only 36!

oggsfrog · 09/05/2008 10:22

Thought you were 37 Berrie? Who is 37?
Are you lot going backwards each birthday?

Zebedeedoodah · 09/05/2008 10:41

Everyone I work with is convinced I'm 36. Does that count? You see, if you keep fat the face doesn't go quite so quickly.

oggsfrog · 09/05/2008 10:46

You saying my face has gone? Eh? Eh?

Zebedeedoodah · 09/05/2008 10:59

Are you a skinny-minny? Just look at Madonna. Great bod, terrible face!

Don't worry you'll always be beautiful to us Oggs.

I'm just hoping DH makes loads of money before it's too late for my botox injections.

oggsfrog · 09/05/2008 11:16

Don't they say you have to choose between your face and your arse?

BottlebinBerrie · 09/05/2008 11:22

I most certainly am not 37
How can you say this when I look 30 at the most?

Zebedeedoodah · 09/05/2008 12:01

So Berrie, how old are you?

oggsfrog · 09/05/2008 12:03

Obviously I find it hard to believe you aren't in your early twenties Berrie

binkleandflip · 09/05/2008 14:24

I'm 36, 37 next. are you thinking of me?

Hey Zeb, I'm doing botox in the salon (not me personally, that would be disasterous ) if you want to come to Blackpool I'll give you a good discount

BottlebinBerrie · 09/05/2008 14:50

I'm 36 like I said

LyraSilvertongue · 09/05/2008 16:57

I'm 36 too.
So Berrie, all those times you said DH was out flying his plane, you didn't mean a real one? You meant a model one? I did think it was a very expensive hobby, learning to fly planes. [slow on the uptake emoticon]

Morning

Well we arrived in Glasgow about 3:30, parked right near the theatre and wandered to have a look wondering what we were going to do while we waited. We were stood at the traffic lights outside and there were a group of people marching across the road carrying large numbers.
A group of schoolkids came rushing in from the left with their camera phones just as the people with numbers arrived on our side of the crossing and stood in a group next to us.

I looked more closely and there carrying a big '0' was Keith! There was Craig with another number!

Appears that they were being photographed with the phone number for an international relief thingy for Burma.
They spent a good 10 mins walking back and forth across the road and then standing in front of the theatre .

Then Keith went into the stage door and we went to try and find a coffee. Dh nudged me and right in front of us was Craig with a large man. We followed them (accidentally) right up the street before losing them .

I tried to get photos of dd with them behind her but she was mortified, turned bright red, looked at the floor and refused to look up .

oggsfrog · 10/05/2008 13:33

Do I smell?

BottlebinBerrie · 10/05/2008 14:09

Undoubtedly...nevertheless I was happy to read about your adventure!
Have you got any shots of them with shy dd that are any good?
What was the show like?

oggsfrog · 10/05/2008 16:41

Distinctly amateurish compared to London I'm afraid.
I am pleased to report though that Craig has an absolutely brilliant voice........

..... for pub singing . He can hold a tune well enough but has no power, depth, passion or tone. Gawd, he's dreadful. He has the acting ability of a kitchen chair, and is twice as wooden.

Keith (bless him) has one hell of a voice and a better figure (I know, I know...but even dh called Craig the chubby one with the girly voice )

You know how there were 20 Josephs to start with before they got to the final 12..... well 6 of them were in the show .

Oh, it was okay.... different in parts.... but overall okay. Spoiled mainly for me by having Craig in the central role.

How's things with you today? Weather? We've just had a torrential downpour.

BottlebinBerrie · 10/05/2008 20:38

Ahhhh....lovely day!
Nice weather, first BBQ of the season up the Orchard, essential advice by fellow friendly allotmenteers re our new veg plot.

Rather you than me sitting through that! You had a nice family day out though?

oggsfrog · 11/05/2008 08:46

Nice day out yes. We don't often have them
What's everyone up to today? I'm just about to take dd for her riding lesson then will be felting, gardening, washing clothes and getting all my nets ready to put over the windows and doors before the midges arrive
I bet the orchard is looking lovely and lush Berrie .

BottlebinBerrie · 11/05/2008 21:33

Tis heart breakingly gorgeous!
Did you get your nets done?
We did lots of work tidying up the garden today, consequently our children have been revolting. Excellent lesson to DP as to why I can't get on with house work all day!

oggsfrog · 12/05/2008 06:58

No, I realised that I haven't got any duck tape so will need to get some before I can get them up. Should be okay as we hopefully have another week or so before the midges arrive.

BottlebinBerrie · 12/05/2008 07:32

You and your felting Oggs!
I had a dream last night that I was on the apprentice and the task was to make a brooch. I decided to make felted flowers but it caused much anxiety as I never seemed to get round to it in the dream. But then it was an awful night. DD was crying because she was too hot, then crying because the fan was blowing on her then shouting OI! because she'd woken up and realised I'd turned it off!

What do you all have on today? I'm waiting in this morning for a very expensive diet asda delivery. I chose asda this time as it is cheaper - hah!. Trouble is half the ingredients I need for my recipes were not available.(our branch does not serve a discerning clientele obviously)so goodness what I'll end up making.
