Hope you all find me.

oggsfrog · 08/05/2008 14:43

No, no, Lyra. I was joking.
I wear imitation crocs all summer. Don't care what people think/what they look like, they are SOOOOOOOO comfy.

LyraSilvertongue · 08/05/2008 14:46

It only took a few days for my sugar cravings to pass.
Oggs. Lewisfan's having them anyway.

LyraSilvertongue · 08/05/2008 14:52

I can't wait for this weight to start coming off. I can get into most of my clothes but they're just that bit too tight to be comfortable.

And I've got a lovely pair of cropped trousers which I bought after doing Atkins which I really want to wear again but can't even consider at the moment. They wouldn't get past my knees

Zebedeedoodah · 08/05/2008 15:01

Lyra, I have loads of trousers like that.

binkleandflip · 08/05/2008 16:46

Well done Oggs!! Tell me, which flavours did you go for??

As for the sandal thread - they are still rowing from what I can see the other girl who stuck up for me is now getting a pasting!!

I thought the original post by me was a reasonable question but perhaps I'm an insensitive old git

perhaps we should re-name this thread the 'Ketosis club' though I expect someone would come on and tell us how insensitive that is and that its a medical condition etc etc blah blah blah to fade.....

What's for tea then?

Small portion chicken and rocket for me - followed by side of toffee and walnut shake er yum

Zebedeedoodah · 08/05/2008 17:04

Enjoy your chicken you insensitive old git. Just don't mention flipflops.

I'm having chicken too, with a bit of old salad leaves. No toffee. Nonononono.....
Right, best collect DS before he thinks he's been abandonned.

LyraSilvertongue · 08/05/2008 18:34

I've fallen at the first hurdle.
I went to a children's party after work an the hostess had bought the most amazing strawberry mousse cake with white chocolate on top. I resisted for ages but it kept calling me and I gave in and ate some. Then I thought I may as well have a piece of the chocolate birthday cake too.
Back to square one tomorrow...

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 08/05/2008 18:59

Oh dear Lyra . Was it nice though??

I'm sipping a mug of chicken and mushroom soup... like a more powdery, strangely sweet cup-a-soup . Bearable though. Lunch was a butterscotch shake - yummy.

I didn't eat this morning before I went and the counsellor gave me half a sachet of toffee and walnut to try, so that was my breakfast .

oggsfrog · 08/05/2008 19:05

Binkle, my choices were;
Butterscotch 4, Toffee and Walnut 4, Banana 2. Vanilla 2, Choc Mint 2, Choc Orange 2,
Vegetable Soup 1, Chicken & Mushroom 1, Oriental Chilli 1, Spicy Tomato 1, Leek & Potato 1.

I said I'd heard horror stories about the cheese and broccoli - turns out she really likes it . She said it makes good crisps.

LyraSilvertongue · 08/05/2008 19:14

So how are you feeling so far Oggs? Not feeling deprived? I'm sure I'll be joining you on it this time next week.

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 08/05/2008 19:22

Not deprived as such, and not hungry tbh; they are quite filling.
I'm a pig though. I eat because I enjoy eating rather than through hunger so I'm hoping this will be easier than trying to control portions etc

Going to Glasgow tomorrow to see Joseph and will have to drink black coffee while dd and dh have a meal before the show.
I'll have to have a shake before we go (lunchtimeish) and one when we get back which will be after 9pm.

binkleandflip · 08/05/2008 20:56

Well I have just been for 2nd weigh-in - I've lost 2.5 lbs (yes, the .5 is very important ) since my weigh in on Saturday - I'll be honest I was hoping for more - bloody percy pigs!! however then I thought of that I've lost 9.5lbs in 10 days so not bad going at all really. Lost another inch and half of my waist and some off my upper arms too - random or what

Good choices Oggs, apparently the choc orange is really nice hot too. And we'll be getting weighed in on the same day now so we can compare!! Got some of the bars this time too as I said I've been feeling very hungry although the ketone stick thing says I'm still in ketosis - Oggs the Chocolate Orange bar is gorgeous!!

binkleandflip · 08/05/2008 21:17

Oh and Lyra, the whole cake thing is completely understandable - thankfully the dog saved me from snaffling the remnants of dd's birthday cake last week by kindly dragging it and the box around the hallway a few times then scoffing the lot

Good thing with Atkins is you can always start again the next day and you've only lost a day...from what I recall, you get about the same results on Atkins that you do on Cambridge ie around 1lb loss a day so I guess you have to choose which way suits you best.

binkleandflip · 09/05/2008 09:06

Morning all

BottlebinBerrie · 09/05/2008 09:13

Morning Binkle.
Don't think I can be on this thread if you are all slimming. Don't want to be the token fat friend

binkleandflip · 09/05/2008 09:15

Lol, no your my token tall friend , well you and Oggs anyway!!

What re you up to today? Any more thoughts about dh's birthday?

oggsfrog · 09/05/2008 09:17

Morning

Ooh hoo. It's Joseph day

Zebedeedoodah · 09/05/2008 09:18

Morning all. Don't worry Berrie, after this weekend, I'll be the fat friend as well. I've raided DH's wine cellar so we've got that side of things sorted , and I guess I'd better stop at Sainsburys on the way, or shall I wait until I find a Waitrose? (it's the little things that please.)

I also heroically resisted DS's jaffa cakes last night and stuck to muesli and yoghurt for breccy. Not Atkins, but it's starting me off in the right direction.

binkleandflip · 09/05/2008 09:19

Ooh yes, oh have a great time, it will bring memories back thats for sure

are you have toffee+walnut with coffee?

Zebedeedoodah · 09/05/2008 09:23

Well, I have known her since the first year of university, and shared a house with her for a while.

I hate toffee AND walnut. I'll stick to black coffee.

binkleandflip · 09/05/2008 09:25

If you do CD Zeb - you can have a vanilla sachet in your black coffee and it makes a nice cappucino - I know I'm not selling it that well but it is truly pretty nice

BottlebinBerrie · 09/05/2008 09:27

Yes I found an apartment in St Ives for £255. I showed DH but he wasn't particularly interested. We just don't seem to get on since we stopped drinking.
Flippin' ec...just managed to delete the rest of this message...a huge long moan about dh...pergaps for the best!

binkleandflip · 09/05/2008 09:28

think we are all a bit that way out at the minute tbh, well you me and Zeb anyway

oggsfrog · 09/05/2008 09:31

Er, no, I'll be having the toffee and walnut on it's own

When is dh's birthday Berrie? If weather is nice could you all go somewhere nice and have a lovely picnic while dh flies his plane? Or is that a no no?

Zeb. Have a great time. Put the world to rights
