Aw brilliant!!

When??
Who with??
Where are you sat??

Sooo excited for you!!!

oggsfrog · 05/05/2008 19:51

We're taking dd to see the touring version in Glasgow as she wanted to see Keith.
She's right this minute rewatching the tv series
I'm most definately not looking forward to watching Craig though

Well done you on the weight loss. It sounds tempting tbh as I'm so not managing to do low carbing/ any dieting at moment.
I'm back at my absolute heaviest and need to lose at least 3 stone.
I'm a pig and can't stop once I start. I think I'm actually verging on binge eating without the vomiting.
Do you have to have your doctor's approval? Don't know how I could do it as the nearest councellor is miles and miles away. Can you do it any other way oter than face to face?

binkleandflip · 05/05/2008 19:56

Oh thats great your dd will love it - Keith is brill in it - dont know about Craig as he was having a night off when we went - I'm sure he'll be great

I didnt need dr's approval - but then I did lie and tell my counsellor that I wasnt on any medication - think if I'd have mentioned the asthma I would have had to fess up to my dr too.

How far is the counsellor away? You can only do it face to face as thats part of the fee - the one to one-ness of it.

I'm a binge-eater too so I'm amazed I am not eating as such at all and getting on ok with it. Tell a lie - I did chew a flapjack on Tuesday...but I spat it out at the last minute

oggsfrog · 05/05/2008 20:01

I remember doing something like that when I was about 19. I had sachets of milkshakey or soupy stuff. Is Slimfast similar?

binkleandflip · 05/05/2008 20:06

yeah slimfast is similiar - think Cambridge Diet was the original one though and the only one you get the personal counselling with too.

The soups are gross but the shakes are reasonable enough - getting weighed again on Thursday if I lose another 3-4lb by then I'll be happy...

So, where is everyone?

oggsfrog · 05/05/2008 20:12

Hmm, don't know. It has been quiet around here but we all pop in when we can.

Zeb and her ds have had a dodgy tum/bum. Lyra has a new cat, Jasper. Berrie has been doing really well cutting out mid-week drinking.

Are you still gyming with your personal trainer?

LyraSilvertongue · 05/05/2008 20:17

I tried Slimfast last year. The shakes were ok but I was permanently starving. And they gave me wind. And I didn't lose any weight. I threw the can away in the end.
We've had glorious sunshine here all day and it was hot, hot, hot! (as Big Cook would say)
DS2 had a friend's birthday party at 1 so we couldn't do a day out or anything but we had a BBQ tonight with plenty of Prosecco. I'm counting tonight as part of the weekend as it's a bank holiday. Abstaining recommences tomorrow.

Not been for about six weeks, my dh revoked the funding in a sulk!!

WHen I get the salon up and running I'm hoping to go back and do some sessions and wow them with my new figure hell, they'll be asking me for tips

When I get in the salon I'll post some photos of me looking all efficient and business woman like etc

binkleandflip · 05/05/2008 20:18

Hey Lyra, how's Jasper settling in?

LyraSilvertongue · 05/05/2008 20:18

Oh, and I spent all morning cleaning up cat sick/diarrhoea. He's got an upset tummy, from too much milk I think. I bet he didn't get milk at the rescue centre.

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 05/05/2008 20:19

Can slimfast be used as a total meal replacement or are you supposed to have 2 slimfasts and one meal.
It's a lot cheaper, though you don't get the counselling.

LyraSilvertongue · 05/05/2008 20:19

Settling fine I think. He's voluntarily sat on my lap a few times and purrs a lot when I'm around. Not so keen on the boys though...

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 05/05/2008 20:20

I tried the shake for breakfast, shake for lunch then proper dinner ad I lost probably 2lb in total. I cant recommend it.

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 05/05/2008 20:21

You're not supposed to feed cats milk. They don't have the enzymes for digesting lactose so it gives them an upset tum and diarrhoea - as you have found out . Poor Jasper.

binkleandflip · 05/05/2008 20:22

I'm not hungry on this which I think is a big thing, if I was I'd be in the fridge straight away I wouldnt be able to hold out, but so far, in the last few days anyway no real hunger pangs - it's a blinking revelation I tell ya

oggsfrog · 05/05/2008 20:22

Bunkle, how do you cope with preparing dd's and dh's meals?

binkleandflip · 05/05/2008 20:23

I think Cambridge is lower cal than Slimfast - I'm on about 550cals a day in total

oggsfrog · 05/05/2008 20:24

It sounds like when I'm succeeding with low carbing. My appetite goes completely and I have to make an effort to eat.
I'm def an all or nothing type.
So in theory I could do Slimfast for all three meals?

binkleandflip · 05/05/2008 20:25

I just make theirs as usual - I'm amazed but it hasnt really bothered me - yesterday was hard though - made them my favourite - lamb with sundried tomato and pesto in the slow cooker yum yum, I allowed myself to smell it but didnt have any - I'm quite impressed by myself!!

oggsfrog · 05/05/2008 20:26

How much do you want to lose Binkle?
Lyra, are you feeding Jasper the same brand as when he was at the shelter? The change of brand can upset their system for a few days.

LyraSilvertongue · 05/05/2008 20:26

Yes, but you'd need more than three i think because I was starving on just two a day.

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 05/05/2008 20:28

I don't know what they were feeding him but they gave me a bag of Whiskas pouches when we took him home. So he must have been eating Whiskas there.

OP posts:
binkleandflip · 05/05/2008 20:28

I want to lose 3 stone - I've lost half a stone this week so I think that gives me hope that I might get pretty close pretty quickly if not actually achieve 3 stone, plus I'll be on my feet all day soon as opposed to lolling about the house with the dog all day.

oggsfrog · 05/05/2008 20:29

Mmm. Food for thought. Maybe I should give Slimfast a try for a couple of weeks just to break out of this cycle of crap eating. Can't afford Cambridge unfortunately.

LyraSilvertongue · 05/05/2008 20:29

I thought the milk might be the culprit so I threw it away and put out some filtered water instead. He's had a little bit and now he's asleep.
