Hope you all find me.

Think I'll have to watch it on fast forward to get to the Hugh shirt offy bit. There's no way I'll be able to watch it right through . Hope your bum feels better soon.

Today I shall be packing and posting flyers, sending out tickets, and booking traders for the upcoming festival.
Tomorrow I shall be flying around like a scalded cat trying to make the place even remotely presentable - my db and sis are coming to stay for the night and I need to clear a space on the floor for them to sleep.
Also need to do some shopping so I can feed them. Don't know what to cook for tea tomorrow.

Berrie I'm [green] at your shopping delivery. I have problems getting them to deliver to me out here, and there is always something missing so I end up going out anyway.

BottlebinBerrie · 01/05/2008 08:52

Poor dh...makes me wince to think about it. My back was awful last night and no alcohol to melt it away

MFL'sF is living locally at the moment and goes off to do bits and pieces. I thought he said he was doing the Emmerdale this week but he can't be if he's meeting me can he?

DS has just had an apple to give him Sportacus power for tidying up but so far this invloves running up and down like a loony with a few moves thrown in.

Sigh...he's prepeared a pretend party upstairs which I'll have to go to soon...actually, I'll be sobbing come September when he's gone to school and there are no pretend parties any more.

BottlebinBerrie · 01/05/2008 08:54

Isn't your DB the one who lives in Thailand?
How long are they staying?

BottlebinBerrie · 01/05/2008 08:57

One of the hens is laying an intermittant white egg here there and anywhere with a floppy shell and what looks like yolk on the outside. Do you think she'll sort that out any time soon?

oggsfrog · 01/05/2008 08:58

It's dbil who lives in Thailand. Db is down in Wiltshire. Only coming for the one night. They're bringing me a futon . So that's their bed sorted. I just need to clear a space on the floor for them to lay the mattress.

Must shoot, flyers await...
Enjoy your party

oggsfrog · 01/05/2008 09:00

Are you giving them ground oyster shell or the like? I just wash our empty eggshells and crumble them up for them.
Does happen occasionally.

BottlebinBerrie · 01/05/2008 11:59

Haven't got round to it since they've only just started laying...will do so pronto.

Right still need to hoover, clean kitchen floor (no small job though the kitchen is)and then the bathroom needs work.
Worst thing is the whole place will still only be tidy and slightly clean ish after a whole mornings work!

LyraSilvertongue · 01/05/2008 12:35

Zeb, breakfast alternatives incluse fruit, yoghurt, corn or rice-based cereal, eggs. Quite easy really but toast is the quickest and most convenient.
I'm not giving up the wheat altogether (I couldnt give up cake forever) but limiting it.
Oggs, the restaurtant was very nice. I had a lobster salad to start and veal for the main. There were also 'amuse bouches' throwen in, little tartlets and foie gras thingies and at the end petit fours and fruit jellies and nougat. With wine it came to over £200 . I think this will have to be a once-a-year treat.

Still haven't decided who to vote for in the election. Ken's an arrogant tw*t but Boris is a right-wing bunbling toff. Paddick's a wasted vote. Hmmm.....

OP posts:
BottlebinBerrie · 01/05/2008 13:33

Right...house as clean as it's going to get...they should be here now...not sure what I will feel if they've forgotton. On the one hand I have a nice clean house, on the other it's taken me all day and it will be back to normal tomorrow!

oggsfrog · 01/05/2008 18:02

How did it go Berrie?

BottlebinBerrie · 01/05/2008 18:45

They came! It was fine thanks. We spent a pleasant afternoon in the garden. The other child was a little boistrous and hit ds with one of his toys but I want him to learn to play with his peers, it was all ok.

Off out in a minute to met MF

BottlebinBerrie · 01/05/2008 18:45

L's F

BottlebinBerrie · 02/05/2008 08:54

Morning....groooooaaaaaaan!

Not a hangover I hasten to add
Just an incredibly late night (for me). We left well after eleven, walked all the way to the carpark and all the entrances were shut. I could see my little car on on it's own through the bars! Walked alllll the way round to the other side and found a way in then on the way home, one of the big roads was closed for night works so I had to take a looond diversion. Twas v. late when I got in. Had a lovely tiem though, it reallt cheered me up!

BottlebinBerrie · 02/05/2008 11:24

No-one lives here any more

Zebedeedoodah · 02/05/2008 15:49

I dooooo. But yet another day off cos of DS's runny bum. Grrrrrr. This has totally buggered my plan to have a week off in July.

BottlebinBerrie · 02/05/2008 15:59

Why has it Zeb? you don't have to take sick days as holiday do you?

Zebedeedoodah · 02/05/2008 16:01

So Lyra, 'fess up. Did you go with Ken or Boris? But what a fab day for sticking one up Gordon for stealing all our money. It almost makes you miss Tony . Sadly we didn't get to vote this time around.

Berrie, how was YFL'sF? Any more salacious gossip or has he given up on passing this stuff on to we 'older' women.

Zebedeedoodah · 02/05/2008 16:04

At the moment,I'm only under contract until September, which gives me only about 11 days holiday, and I've just taken 4 of them, as I don't get sick leave if DS is sick. Given the propensity for DS to get bugs, taking a planned holiday is a bit risky. Ho hum, long weekend it is.

LyraSilvertongue · 02/05/2008 16:18

How is the runny bot situation Zeb? Any signs of improvement? Both mine are a bit 'loose' but have gone to school/nursery as normal.
I voted for Ken and Boris (first and second preference) but I'm not saying in what order Anything else would have been a wasted vote.
Paddy Power (the bookies) has already paid out on Boris winning, even before the result's been declared.
Feeling much perkier and clearer headed today. I think my wheat-free regime might be worth it after all. Sadly it seems oats have the same effect so it looks like it's gluten in general, not just wheat.

OP posts:
BottlebinBerrie · 02/05/2008 16:36

MFL'sF was fine thanks. He filmed Emmerdale earlier in the week.
He knows two of the Nancies...er Rachel and sarah I think he said.

He is the chap on the Derren Brown show trailer on C4 running at the mo...will probably be the last night tonight though so catch it on ad breaks while you can!

Zebedeedoodah · 02/05/2008 18:26

Berrie, you just know everyone...sort of Me? I know no-one.

And the bot is still pretty bad. More like running liquid after food...yeuch, so I couldn't see the point in taking him to the CM, as he'd be sent straight home again.

There's nothing like hedging your bets on the vote Lyra! DH said he was going to hedge his by voting Christian Alliance and BNP as he feels the same way as you about Boris & Ken. I think he was joking, but fortunately for everyone, he was too ill to go back to London.

BottlebinBerrie · 02/05/2008 22:04

Tee Hee...hardly!
Quiet old day today.
What are your plans for the bank holiday weekend?

LyraSilvertongue · 02/05/2008 22:06

Are you boozing tonight Berrie? I've had nearly a bottle of wine already

OP posts:
BottlebinBerrie · 03/05/2008 08:03

No no, I was clean last night! (Berrie tings her halo)
I've begun to realise that the terrible urge or craving only lasts at worst half an hour, at best 5 mins. Once I am past that it's fine. A friend came round last night and brought some wine with her, I didn't want any at all while she drank it.
Drink day today though!
