Dh has done nothing about chicken fence...neither have I for that matter. I can't cope with rounding them up though...still, better exercise than power walking. I could start classes...'chicken chasing to keep fit - beginners'

Morning all! DS was perfect. The babysitter was happy - I filled the fridge with beer and left him the remote controls and all my chick flicks It was actually a 'dance extravaganza and fashion show' which a friend of ours was involved in. The clothes were dire but the dancing and bands were good. So a good night. Only 1/2 pint imbibed so very good.

Lyra, the only advice I can give is based on the cost and aggravation of moving vs the cost and aggravation of a roof extension. That and whether there are more material reasons for moving, like schools. Great news that you're getting viewings though.

You're having work done on your house aren't you? what's it like living with all the mess and hassle? Given that I'm in and out all day and have two DSs to get ready for school every morning, plus it's quite a small house so nowhere really to escape to while work goes on.

I normally buy bottles of cheapo diet tonic and have a really long drink, but dh has brought home genuine Schweppes.
The thing is they are in teeny tiny little cans that appear to have been made for a gnome .
Just measured out 25mls which I think is what is classed as a 'measure' in tight arse normal land, and added one of the dinky tins. Pfffffff. Gone in two gulps. I ask you.
Is that the way gentile folk drink?
Bugger that for a game of spiders. My twelve pack of munchkin sized tins won't last very long.
