Nice to see you Binkle.

is Lighter life the same as Cambridge in that you have to get your 'food' allowance weekly from the consultant and pay for it then. Cambridge is about £35 a week and looks like space food from what I've heard

Berrie · 17/04/2008 11:59

Blimming hec. Couldn't pay that each for both of us. If I shared my shakes with dh would we lose 6 stone each?

Zebedeedoodah · 17/04/2008 12:02

My friend did it as well. I know it was expensive, but I'll check with her - it was 12 months ago, so I'll find out how much she lost and if she kept it off.

Berrie · 17/04/2008 12:10

I'm being told on another thread £750 /£1000 ish. S'alot of money...

LyraSilvertongue · 17/04/2008 12:37

I was going to suggest you look at one of the MN threads. It's expensive but wouldn't it be worth it? The women I know who have done it are completely new people.

It would have to be after our holiday!

Zebedeedoodah · 17/04/2008 13:06

I just tried their bmi thing, and I'm not fat enough. Just as well - I'm not rich enough either

Berrie · 17/04/2008 13:07

Course you are not blimmin' fat enough! I'm only just fat enough!

Berrie · 17/04/2008 13:08

I don't think I could do it...I can't even stay off the grog for 3 nights...

Zebedeedoodah · 17/04/2008 14:01

According to my best friend it cost her £66 per week . She lost weight and the stuff tasted fine but she just felt deprived as she's the kinda girl that loves food (in a good way rather than an I'll-scoff-5-big macs-and-large-fries kinda way). She lost over 3 stone and has kept off all but 1/2 stone. So that's not so bad.

Berrie, I still need to loose enough!!!

Berrie · 17/04/2008 14:04

It would be hard NOT to feel deprived sigh...I think I shall be lardy for a while yet.

oggsfrog · 17/04/2008 14:25

So I'm the only one who has had absolutely no alcohol this week?

Day 4 of my low-carbing and I'm doing well, though I say so myself. It always amazes me how quickly I stop feeling hungry, and if anything I have to make myself eat something as I could easily skip breakfast and lunch.

Hello Binkle. Everything going to plan? When is the grand opening? Do you have staff?

Wouldn't be able to justify paying that amount of money not to eat . So you mean somebody delivers your food to the house? Don't tesco do that?
How does it work. Is it like 'meals on wheels'?

Berrie · 17/04/2008 14:27

Flippin' Saint Oggs

oggsfrog · 17/04/2008 14:29

Told you Berrie. It's easy when there is no alcohol in the house. Living over 10 miles from shops is handy sometimes .

Berrie · 17/04/2008 14:32

I blame dh.

oggsfrog · 17/04/2008 14:52

Aw, poor love. Did he hold you down and tip it down your neck .
What was your poison? I've decided I'm going to stick to clear spirits and diet tonic fro my weekend treats. Mmmmmmmmmm. Looking forward to a long cold G&T.
A friend brought round a bottle of elderberry and honey wine today as well

Zebedeedoodah · 17/04/2008 15:00

The guys here drink 'aquavodka' - vodka, lime and tap water - when they're on the lash. They've decided it's the least fattening way.

Oggs, no-one likes a smuggy-smug

Hey!!!! Did I tell you I'm going out tonight? Yes. Me. Out. Really. Without DS OR DH. I've even got a babysitter who's seen my gaff so knows how bad it is already (and he's a bloke so doesn't actually care anyway!).

Berrie · 17/04/2008 16:06

Zeb! You are having a bloke round while DH is away?

Zebedeedoodah · 17/04/2008 16:22

Calm down Berrie, I have loads of blokes round when DH is away. OK, builders, plumbers, farmy-types, electricians, chimney sweeps...

Nah, he's the fiance of the girl I'm going out with. She volunteered him, so will be dropping him off then whisking me away. Hehehe, guess who's not driving.

Berrie · 17/04/2008 16:24

Oh good...as long as she's taking him away again when you totter back in!
Have fun!

binkleandflip · 17/04/2008 16:55

oh have a good night Zeb!! I'm wondering how long it took the lighter life people to drop the weight because if you're paying that much you want it to be quick.

Hey Oggs!! everything going to plan so far, I have one definite member of staff - a good friend of mine who I went to college with and who (unlike me ) has been doing it mobile constantly since. I, on the other hand havent laid a finger on a client in any real capacity since last June so probably time to blow the cobwebs away

As for my hydraulic stool, well, I have THREE now

LyraSilvertongue · 17/04/2008 17:15

Well done Oggs.
The diet thing is a meal replacement thingumy so you don't eat AT ALL. Not sure I could do it.
We've just reduced the price of our house by £17k But the house we want has been reduced by £22k The markets collapsing fast. We're now trying to decide if we want to sell/buy or go for a loft conversion and planning appeal.

LyraSilvertongue · 17/04/2008 17:19

Have fun Zeb! Don't drink too much.
Binkle, it must be so exciting! Have you got a name yet?
if you lot are all drinking then so am I. So there. Is it wine o'clock yet?

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 17/04/2008 17:30

If I end up an alcoholic I'll blame you lot.
Btw, I've completely gone off Lee. I had a dream about David Tennant a couple of nights ago...
