Hope you all find me.

No Oggs today?

oggsfrog · 01/04/2008 20:23

Evening
Was poorly this morning (too much whisky last night ) and this afternoon we've been admiring the new pony that dh bought this morning.
We need to think of a name as at present he is called Billy and it's a crap name.

LyraSilvertongue · 01/04/2008 22:10

Lyra, obviously.
I do envy you Oggs, having all these animals and an outdoorsy lifestyle.

OP posts:
Berrie · 02/04/2008 07:22

My bil has a horse called Pete!

Zebedeedoodah · 02/04/2008 08:57

Lyra, don't be jealous, the Good Life's over-rated I'd much rather be a City Slicker schmoozing with the PM (well, maybe not THIS PM), than standing up to my knees in dung at 2 in the morning assiting with a caesarian on a cow!!! I think it was then I came to the conclusion I'm probably Margot not Barbara.

Oggs, there are only 2 names for horses. Dobbin and Satan. Which is your's?

Berrie · 02/04/2008 10:50

Mmmm to continue on the theme, whilst I like my new hens, I'm not keen on the way my kitchen suddenly looks more like a farmyard.

Zebedeedoodah · 02/04/2008 11:47

Wellies on inside the house eh? I'd be right at home at your gaf Berrie

oggsfrog · 02/04/2008 19:40

Lyra you may well envy my animals and outdoorsy lifestyle but I bet you don't have toilet envy, especialy on a cold day .
Pony as yet still unnamed. Dd is keen on Uncle Fester . I suggested Gonzo, which has been cruelly rejected .

Berrie · 02/04/2008 20:46

My SIL had a horse as a girl called Whisky. Now that seems appropriate!

LyraSilvertongue · 02/04/2008 21:39

Another vote for whisky. Highly appropriate
Zeb, the grass is always greener, isn't it.

Lyra, you are soooo right.

I like Uncle Fester, but then I love the Adams Family Values

LyraSilvertongue · 03/04/2008 12:53

Where is everyone?

OP posts:
Berrie · 03/04/2008 13:00

Here I am!

LyraSilvertongue · 03/04/2008 13:02

Hurrah!
what are you up to today?
I'm at work. Am busy printing off various bits of paper for our trip to Disney. There's still so much to do.

OP posts:
Berrie · 03/04/2008 13:02

When are you going?

LyraSilvertongue · 03/04/2008 13:04

Saturday, crack of dawn.
I want to go the Sainsbury's to stock up on supplies to take with us but I've got no idea what to take. We're driving btw. I guess just the essentials - tea, coffee etc. Breakfast is included in our package. Stuff to make packed lunches with? We'll probably have dinner out although our cabin comes with a barbecue.

OP posts:
Berrie · 03/04/2008 13:04

Not much.
Have just made a new dust bath for hens. There is a cake in the other. Bit depressed at the moment actually. Am thinking of going to the Doctor and swapping to citilopram but am a bit worried that it will take 6 weeks to work.
Am convinced it's hormonal but not sure what to do about it.

Berrie · 03/04/2008 13:06

Are there not grocery shops there?

Was thinking cabin on the ferry then.

LyraSilvertongue · 03/04/2008 13:06

A cake in the other what
could you try evening primrose oil if it's hormonal?

OP posts:
Berrie · 03/04/2008 13:07

Twould be a shame to be eating kingsmill and cheddar when you could be lunching on brie baguette!

LyraSilvertongue · 03/04/2008 13:07

Probably but they might be those little convenience stores where everything's double the normal price. Also I don't fancy dragging the children round a hypermarket when they're desperate to go to Disney.

OP posts:
Berrie · 03/04/2008 13:08

Take it by the bucket load already. It really helps with the pmt but not the depression.

LyraSilvertongue · 03/04/2008 13:08

St John's Wort?

OP posts:
Berrie · 03/04/2008 13:11

Mmmm maybe

Zebedeedoodah · 03/04/2008 15:32

Lyra, that's so exciting. Are the little darlings jumping up and down with excitement? I'd suggest stocking up on milk but that's not such a bright idea. But definitely pg tips!

Berrie, when I started on citalopram it only took a couple of days to kick in. Might be worth a try?
