yes I am very proud, I had to sit on my hands though to stop myself from making her do it again.

Can't wait to tell dh, hope he gets to see it soon!

Dropdeadfred · 11/04/2008 18:30

Go mini-marmite!!!!

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 11/04/2008 19:49

go marmite girl!!!

there'll be no stopping her soon

(am I the tallest zappata? I've never been the tallest anything before - well, except for being the tallest person in my house when dp and dd1 are at school, but that doesn't really count)

Egg · 14/04/2008 09:28

Morning girls. Came to say sorry for not being around at weekend and nobody else was either .

Got to clean house, tidy house, run washing machine x 100, make up beds etc before my sis and kids arrive later. Have dropped 3 x whingeing DC at nursery already .

Just eating some marmite on toast and checking nothing groundbreaking has happened on here before I get cracking. Hope you are all good and had a nice weekend.

Hi Egg - oooh a children-free day again..wooohoooo! Don't waste all of it on housework!!

You really do have alot of visits from family don't you?

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 14/04/2008 09:36

morning [can we have a "I can't keep my eyes open emoticon?]

Ds decided to wake up at 11. I hadn't even gone to bed by then! He went back to sleep at 4! grr!

Yesterday went to shops and bought them both new shoes (Only cheap ones) ds has these patent white football boot type trainers. He refused to walk over the grass this morning in case he got his shoes dirty (who is this child? surely he can't be related to me!)

Anyway, I have a thousand hours of housework to do but I may have a vegging on the settee day instead

Egg · 14/04/2008 09:56

Squonk . I have been up since 4am, but I think that is preferable to only going to bed at 4am. I was asleep at 8:30pm last night too so all in all I got a good night's sleep and it was only cos I couldn't get back to sleep after feeding DTs that I have been up since 4am.

Have not done any housework yet. Got caught up reading multiples thread as about 250 new posts since Friday and am still here.

Time for some more coffee.

He wanted to play. Tis orrible when you need to sleep but you have a small boy jumping up and down on your head singing "OOOOOoooooooh the GRAND old duke of YORK, he had TEN fowsand men. He marched them uuuuuuuuuuuup to the TOP of the hill and he marched them down a-GAIN"

Egg · 14/04/2008 10:03

Hmmm, if my DS1 (or in fact any of them) ever try that with me it will be off to the Orphanage with them... thank god DS1 still can't work out how to open his bedroom door [phew]. I bet you will never enjoy hearing that song again.

Oooooooooooooooh the GRAND old duke of Yooooooork [sings].

OP posts:
SquonkTheBeerGuru · 14/04/2008 10:04

oh, that was just one of his repertoire!

He does a mean "FIVE little ducks went swimming one DAY"

Dropdeadfred · 14/04/2008 10:13

Oh No Squonk - what time didhe go to bed to get up again at 11?

I wouldn't have your patience either - DP would have had to have dealt with that

Egg · 14/04/2008 10:39

Fred forgot to say, it seems like a lot of visits, but it's just that we never actually GO to see family, they always come to us as logistics of getting all three DCs and us anywhere is too much to think about right now! Also my doula is off this week (and then back next week for FINAL week!) so nice to have some company or I would home alone all week and go maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. DS1 so loves to see his cousins, he is beside himself with excitement .

OP posts:
SquonkTheBeerGuru · 14/04/2008 10:43

fred - he went to bed at 7 as usual - went to sleep at about 7.30 ish. All was normal (except dd1 put him to bed, not me)

I'll see how he is tonight. If he's awake again, I shall have to think about putting his bed-time back half an hour. Which I don't really want to do, because then dd2's bed-time will have to be put back and I'll miss coronation street! (you can guess which of those is the most important to me )

Hope I can keep him awake today anyway

Egg · 14/04/2008 15:10

Squonk is DS still awake? I struggle to get my DS1 into bed til 7:30 now, once I have dealt with DTS. He normally sleeps til about 7:30am but was up before 7 today. I worry that it's cos the bloody LIGHT is coming in, give me winter mornings any day.

Well house is as tidy as it's going to get. I have uploaded a couple of new pics onto my profile as well as doing my dull chores.

An hour or less to go til sis arrives. Then off to collect them monsters children.

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 14/04/2008 15:46

dd3 goes to bed at 8pm and sleeps til 8-8.30am I wouldn't want her going to bed earlier if it mean't her waking up earlier...

Dropdeadfred · 14/04/2008 15:48

Egg - totally edible babies!!! And you are right, your ds1 is gorgeous!!!

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 14/04/2008 15:52

egg, you have wonderfully gorgeous children

ds still awake (as am I [grr])

Only down to my skillful cake baking, football playing, neighbour chatting, marble running, silly singing, daft dancing parenting style though

Only another three hours to go....

Where's marmite and phono today? hope they're ok...

Egg · 14/04/2008 15:59

Squonk, you amaze me . I do play a bit of footie with DS1, but marble running, what a great idea!

It is PISSING down here. Absolutely torrential rain. I hope the DCs don't think I am going to collect them if it is raining. I washed my hair FFS.

Fred - I can't quite decide whether I would rather have more of an evening or more of a morning! TBH my stress levels go down from "through the roof" level to "first floor" level once DS1 is in bed, so I like him to be in bed by 7:30, although recently it was creeping towards 8 and he was sleeping later in the morning, but hey, I am up in the morning anyway with the littlies. Do prefer to have half an hour up in the morning before DS1 gets up tho, so I can actually watch something other than Rupert Bear / Teletubbies etc, and get the coffee down before he shouts "muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum".

Did I mention that overnight he started calling me "mum" and DH "dad". Strange. We never refer to ourselves as that, always mummy and daddy. Nursery always call parents mummy and daddy too. I think it is from watching Toy Story one time too many!

OP posts:
SquonkTheBeerGuru · 14/04/2008 16:09

dd2 says "mum. Mum. Mum. MUMMY!"

Ds just starts off with "mummy"

dd1 tends to call me "Oh GOD! Mother!" nowadays

Dropdeadfred · 14/04/2008 16:57

dd's all call me mummy when they want something...

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 14/04/2008 16:58

dd1 has a tone for when she wants something... "mu-uuuuuuuum?"

marmitemad · 14/04/2008 21:27

evening ladies,
sorry for being awol, have been busy entertaining friends from spain. dd is walking really well now although still holding onto my hands.

was lovely not having to go into work today although all we have done is eat all day.

Eris' funeral is tomorrow at 10am so will not be on here until evening .

Dropdeadfred · 14/04/2008 22:22
