ds followed me home

and promptly fell asleep

so I have been mn-ing for hours. Must wake him up in a mo to go and get her.

I promised myself that I would tidy my bedroom the next time he fell asleep during the day

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 10/04/2008 15:04

(and I don;t know if it was the correct french or not, but I said I'm here for now (I think) and what about you?

Egg · 10/04/2008 15:22

I was going to actually do some DUSTING today, not been done since we moved here EIGHT MONTHS AGO . I have yet to even locate a duster...

I am around for another hour or so. Then we go to get DS1. DS2 still only had 90ml... he is going to be very hungry later...

Hi you two...yesterday I actually did loads of housework!!! So I can MN today guilt-free (like it ever affects me...)

Egg · 10/04/2008 15:49

Oh I did TONS on Monday... I am ok for rest of week.

Babies making wailing noises tho. Had better do some more playing. DS2 was having a poo, but he changed his mind it seems as it was just a skidmark when I changed him .

OP posts:
SquonkTheBeerGuru · 10/04/2008 16:15

oh, egg you are so lucky! I have to dust every day (I don't always, sometimes it goes a few days ) but the house is really, really dusty and if I don't dust, it gets really thick, really quickly!

Have done tons of washing today. I'm hoping that dd2 will take it all upstairs for me.

ds was a nightmare when we went to get dd2. He screamed the whole way there. Shouted that he needed a wee - so I took him in the school toilets and he didn't want to go - he screamed that he wanted to go home. I brought him out and he screamed that he wanted to go for a wee. One of the teachers said I could use their toilets - I said I already had and I was now ignoring him. I think she thinks I was very cruel not letting him go for a wee when he wanted to.

He's fine now (the wonders of chocolate!)

Egg · 10/04/2008 16:23

Ah no Squonky, you misunderstand. My house is thick with dust . This perhaps explains DS1's coughing!!!!

God I hope DS1 (and in fact DD and DS2) stay in nappies forever. Do not want wee or poo emergencies whilst out. DS1 makes me smile as every evening at some point I say "I'm just going for a wee" and he runs in saying "my wee" and he does as I described a week or two ago. Sits on the loo, points willy down. Sits a bit more. Gets loo roll, wipes willy, puts loo roll in loo, jumps off and flushes. All great, except he never wees . Bless him.

Babies are being scarily good today. They had long nap at lunch, fed, played, and now have both fallen asleep under activity arch. Will have to get them up tho to go and get DS1 . Will leave them til 4:40.

OP posts:
Egg · 10/04/2008 16:24

DS2 now awake. I should never never never say anything on here. Always jinxes things.

OP posts:
SquonkTheBeerGuru · 10/04/2008 16:31

no, egg, you misunderstand me

if I didn't dust every day, you wouldn't be able to open the door for the stuff

lol at ds sitting on the toilet. Ds goes to the loo, does his wee, gets some toilet roll and drops it into the toilet bowl through his legs - he never wipes anything!

Egg · 10/04/2008 17:52

Actually that's what DS1 does! He doesn't actually WIPE his willy, he just pushes the loo paper between his legs into the loo. When he flushes he peers down the loo to make sure everything is "all gone".

How do you CREATE so much dust? Do you all have chronic excema? I honestly never never dust. It is dreadful. I clean the surfaces like table where we eat, but not the shelves. Too many things on them, I can't be a**ed to take them all off.

I have just ordered a tarot reading from the lady advertising on here who has done lots of other MNers! I am excited!

I am back from shopping, bought rather a lot .

Garden centre : sweet pea arch in a pot for me as I love them and they never grow properly when I plant them in the garden. Rose and pot for sil

M&S : mum bought me a red cardigan for my birthday present and gorgeous linen turquoise trousers and tops for dd.
BHS : top for me and top for sil bday
ELC : a3 paper/card, crayons and pirate blow up swim ring which dd is now playing with, mum bought dd a ninky nonk train
New look : black linen trousers, 2 x leopard print tops (for hen night)
Debenhams : 3 x John Rocha tops
candles, bath bombs and picture frames as presents for friends

am extremely knackered now

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 10/04/2008 18:19

your birthday, marmite? do I know about this?

egg - It's having a coal fire that does it - the ash and soot creates dust (a LOT of dust)

Dropdeadfred · 10/04/2008 18:20

Marmite - that's my kinda day...lol.
Glad you had a good time.
Where's Phono today???

Egg · 11/04/2008 08:00

Marmite sounds like a fab day's shopping! When is / was your bday???

Had a hideous night last night. Went to bed at 9pm. Woken at 10:15pm by a baby crying as DH took them downstairs for feed. Woken at 11pm when DH came to bed. Woken at 11:30pm when DH said he heard a mouse. Lay awake for about an hour waiting for mouse to crawl on me. Woken at 1:30am by DD thinking it was time for milk. Ignored her. She went back to sleep but I lay awake til 2:15am. Woken at 3:30am by DD again. Ignored her til 3:50 and finally got up. Was then awake until 5am as couldn't get back to sleep. Woken at 5:30am by DS2 wanting milk. Back to sleep at 6:15. Woken at 6:35am by DH slamming front door. Back to sleep at 6:50am. Woken at 7am by DD saying "time to play".

Gah.

Egg · 11/04/2008 08:01

BTW marmite, can't believe you blushed at BHS and New Look but didn't blush at leopard print tops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OP posts:
SquonkTheBeerGuru · 11/04/2008 08:15

egg - she did make sure to tell us that they are for the hen night though (so not real clothes )

sorry about your bad night - it sounds horrendous! I kinda feel a bit bad about telling you how my children slept now. But I'm going to anyway...

ds went to bed at 7.
dd2 went to bed at 8. ds still awake.
dp stayed with them.

Checked on them at 10 and they were ALL asleep, ds was naked so managed to get a nappy and pyjama top on him without waking him up.

dp crawled in with me at some time during the night (he didn't wake me, I was just aware that he was there) Alarm went off, he popped off to work, kids still asleep.

dd1 got herself up and off to school, waving a cheery bye bye as she left.

littlies woke up at 7.40 (ds naked again)

I feel alive again

Egg · 11/04/2008 08:21

Tis ok Squonky, you have had some baaaaad nights this week while mine have been good so I can forgive you.

OK OK, leopard print is ok for a hen night. Maybe we should all wear leopard print for Fred's Brighton hen day!?!?!?!

OP posts:
SquonkTheBeerGuru · 11/04/2008 08:27

leopard print, dangly earrings, tiaras and stilletto ankle boots

even with my lack of style and panache, I'm not 100% sure it's a good look...

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 11/04/2008 08:28

now I just need to find the tiara...

Egg · 11/04/2008 08:47

OMFG

OP posts:
SquonkTheBeerGuru · 11/04/2008 08:50

s'ok, there's one for you too

SquonkTheBeerGuru · 11/04/2008 08:53

for phono for fred and if marmite needs another one

Egg · 11/04/2008 09:16

Hate to say it Squonk but we all look rather better than you...

OP posts:
marmitemad · 11/04/2008 09:24

please no, I never ever want to wear leopard print more than the once (although the hen night is for the friend whose wedding is the same day as freds), I tried the tops on last night and they are hideous, may have to take them back and keep looking for shoes (have seen loads but my crappy arthritic feet can't cope with these trendy styles )

I am also even more embarassed in the cold light of day to have admitted I even went in those shops let alone bought stuff, you'll all be thinking I am a proper chav/oldie now

sorry to hear about your bad night, Egg. Make sure you have a rest today when dcs are sleeping.

Egg · 11/04/2008 09:29

Marmite, there is NOWT wrong with BHS or New Look. I don't get anything in New Look purely cos there is not one nearby... I have a friend who always looks fab and nearly always when I say "ooh I love your shoes" etc they are from New Look.

I have not even bought any clothes apart from maternity ones in the last year .

Poor DS2. He has been sobbing relentlessly. He had milk at 5:30am and I didn't offer him any at 7:30. Not sure if he is hungry (am making him hold out til 10am) or tired (he slept badly) or cos he needs a poo (not one since tuesday), or miserable.
