Just setting this up in good time so we can link to it before we lose each other...

MONDAY MONDAY MONDAY OH I AM SO EXCITED

but i just know that ds1 will be ill or something so I wont get the day to myself.

I CANNOT WAIT. It is the only thing keeping me sane. DS1 had a heavy strop today and I just thought of the heavenly MONDAY.

DH still does not know they are going for a FULL DAY EVERY WEEK THO .

OP posts:
Egg · 01/04/2008 15:53

Should I wake anyone up? Everyone but me still asleep. Am going to get DS1 soon as he went to bed on rather a bad note. He had a lawnmower strop (wanted to go and play with the industrial sized lawnmowers down at the local crown green bowls place - I said no as a) private property, b) heavy machinery in use so dangerous and c) we were v late already). He went to bed red faced and yelling LOUDLY.

LOL Egg - whaat does DH think is going to happen?

DP didn't know that dd3 was going to nursery twice a week until she had been going for 3 weeks (he thought it was once)...now I would like to up it to 3...teehee

Dropdeadfred · 01/04/2008 15:55

Bless your ds1 - he's a lawnmower man isn't he!!!

God a whole day of quiet Egg..what will you do, sleep, shop, watch tv mumsnet?

Egg · 01/04/2008 16:06

Well he knows they will go when they are OLDER, and he knows they have been for an hour before, and he thinks I will just leave them there occasionally when it all gets too much and to get them used to it a bit. He wouldn't even know if I don't tell him but I think I will have to confess, it will be way too quiet here every time he calls on a Monday otherwise!

My HV had a DD who was lawnmower obsessed too. She said she used to have to take her to Homebase at weekends to look at them all!

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 01/04/2008 16:22

Do you think he would mind?

Has he done a day alone with all three of them before?

I think that having that day alone will be a real life-saving treat for you..(throw in half an hours tidying and he will be sold).

Egg · 01/04/2008 16:35

I am planning to sell it to him by saying I can go to Tesco / clean the house etc and get all chores done. We were going to get a cleaner but I will do it myself so saving a few quid there!

I will really run the hoover round quickly and spend 8 hours on MN .

Why am I so much MORE tired today when I got more sleep last night?

Talking of tired. Squonk how are you feeling today? Still v tired? Anything else?

OP posts:
fryalot · 01/04/2008 17:53

'ello

not tired any more, no. Although the thought of a night where I'm not in bed by 9 fills me with horror!

I suspect it was just a blip last week

I won't get you all excited again until I am fairly sure myself (ie: I've had 17 positive tests )

dp being a pain. He has an aura of disapproval coming off him. We had the plumbers in today and he expected the children to sit on their hands or something - he wouldn't let them have any toys out because it looked a mess! Needless to say, I ignored him and we played with the marble run and the plumbers had to walk over us when they wanted to get through the living room.

Twonk.

Egg - Mooooonnnnddddaaaaayyyyyy!!!!!

phono - {{{hugs and verbal words}}}

marmite and fred - how are you doing today?

marmitemad · 01/04/2008 19:03

jacket is beautiful, am getting very that I can't come.

Funeral is 10am Tuesday 15th April, 2 days before my birthday, am feeling very , may need wine tonight.

fryalot · 01/04/2008 19:24

oh marmite

Twill be a tough day for you all. We will be thinking of you.

Wine is allowed.

Lots of it.

marmitemad · 01/04/2008 19:43

oops have just burnt dh's sausages while playing on here, he is not going to be happy

fryalot · 01/04/2008 19:45

you haven't burnt the sausages... you were following a new recipe for sauteed sausage with a flame grilled covering

marmitemad · 01/04/2008 20:57

ha ha, he didn't even notice (I did heap on loads of mash )

fryalot · 01/04/2008 20:57

dp loves the crunchy bits on the sausages

Egg · 02/04/2008 09:26

Burnt sausages rule. Far better than any other kind.

Feeling a bit low here too marmite and with less reason. Feel so for you. At least there is a date for the funeral now.

Overslept today til 7:45! Nice to get a bit extra sleep but had been feeding DS2 at 6am so not exactly a lie in. He did manage to go 8 hours between feeds, and DD managed 6.5, but I had a crappy evening and got all tired and emotional with DS1 who was playing up. I became very shouty with him . Think 12 weeks of interrupted sleep is getting to me now.

Squonk, for some reason I always feel like I have to tidy when plumbers etc are coming but there really is NO point as a) the plumbers dont care and b) it is impossible to ask a toddler not to get toys out.

Also feeling today as one of my multiple mum pals DD's has just been diagnosed with Turner's Syndrome. She is very upset. Although thankfully not life threatening but still awful for them.

hi all.

dp just got up so I'll be shutting the puter down in a mo.

I saw LG&T's thread as well - how awful for her! I didn't have anything constructive to add, so I didn't post.

Supposed to be going to a soft play centre today but ds is poorly, so we'll see how he is feeling later on.

Got to make a decision in half an hour.

Dropdeadfred · 02/04/2008 09:59

Awwwww Egg, I saw that thread - a real shock for those poor parents....

I think we all go through sad and blue spots at times (although in Marmite's case it diferent obv.) and lack of sleep/free time/light at the end of a tunnel can all affect us.
BUT

Remember you have the Zappatas and Brighton to look forward to !!!

marmitemad · 02/04/2008 10:25

I think we all need a duvet day today I prescribe these

Egg - Have you tried rescue remedy? Try to look forward to a day of calm and peace on Monday

Squonk - Hope ds is feeling better so you can go out soon

Hello Phono & Fred

we are back from docs and dd is mmr'd. she cried quite a bit but lovely hca who does my blood every month calmed her down with peepo the frog! bloody nurse was more interested in grilling me about how I cope with my arthritis .

am a bit with cm as well as she had clearly done a poo when I collected her but cm said smell was other two babies who'd she just changed. tried to sort it out at docs but cm hadn't given me my wipes back so I had to come straight home after before going back out to twyford, grrrr.

Egg · 02/04/2008 17:20

Feeling a lot better now. Keep trying to remember to keep everything in perspective, I AM A VERY LUCK EGG.

Marmite am at CM doing that. I would be a bit esp as going to docs. Glad MMR was ok. Touch wood my DCs don't seem too bothered about jabs apart from the initial stab.

Did I mention DS2 went from 10pm to 6am without a feed last night?????????

OP posts:
Egg · 02/04/2008 17:21
