Fred - that marquee is hugeeeeeeeeeeee and venue looks fab.

Egg - sorry to hear you are having a tough day. is it this week or next when the dts start nursery proper?

have cancelled vaccs, surgery are going to ring back about new appoint as they reckon I shouldn't leave it too much longer and they are full up for 3pm appoints for the next month .

Phono - sorry but I would be seeing if he slept so long with his head on the pavement....

If he took his sleep-inducing meds at 6pm he may well find he could drop off at 10pm.

The venue is in Essex and yay it is provisionally booked and the registrar is available!!!

Yay Thunderbirds are go!!!!!
Another month to lose more weight....{grin]

Only thing is our honeymoon is now BEFORE the wedding, but shucks..so I'll be tanned...

fryalot · 26/03/2008 08:34

fred - yaaaay!!!!! that looks like a gorgeous place, and that is what I call a marquee

and you will be a gorgeous golden brown colour, which goes well with a white frock - it's all coming together

phono - grr!!! It pisses me off when dp disappears off to bed for a "nap" which lasts for several hours (sometimes till the next morning) but he always gets up the next day, and he would NEVER miss a pre-arranged visit. I am very on your behalf. Mr.Phono - if you're reading this - she loves you, she misses you - GET OUT OF FARKING BED!

marmite - didn't realise your SIL had a thread of her own. I suspect your dh is grieving but doesn't realise it iykwim. They're supposed to be tough, these men.

egg - you do know that you will cope fabulously when the doula leaves for good, don't you? you have made us all REALLY proud of you so far, and I see no reason why that will not continue.

We went to Manchester yesterday to visit dp's sis, bro and my auntie, so that was nice. ds refused to have a nappy on in the car - even coming home when it was clearly past his bed-time. Then this morning, he woke up and took himself off to the toilet, removed his (dry) nappy and had a veeeery loooooong wee. Perhaps he is fully toilet trained (could he be toilet trained before dd2?) They are both dry during the day, but this is the first dry night-time nappy we've ever had

Missed the book club thread myself last night, marmite - we didn't get back till 9.30 and I couldn't be bothered switching the puter on, so I just went to bed.

fred- couldn't get that picture message, even on-line. If you want to send it again, that would be good (or email or fb it to me)

marmitemad · 26/03/2008 08:38

so what is the new date, Fred??? Just think of how chilled out and relaxed you'll be during the day after 2 weeks in that lovely villa .

I completely missed the book club thing but had a nice dinner with BIL/SIL. dd is very cute with Connor but did get a bit heavy handed trying to honk his nose!

We are going to Eris's parents tonight for family takeaway as it is BILs birthday. I didn't think they would want to do anything yet but it will be good to get together as a family. SIL had a few tears on the phone last night telling me about Eris's photos that have been touched up and she also met Connor by accident yesterday which was ok seeing him but difficult for her seeing all the baby stuff around the house. I am taking her out for lunch somewhere nice tomorrow.

marmitemad · 26/03/2008 08:40

morning Squonk - missed you yesterday , are your lot off school atm?

Dropdeadfred · 26/03/2008 08:43

new date is 9th August!!!!
we are going there on sat to sign the contracts, pay deposit etc

Now you girls can all come and dance under the starlit dance floor!!!!

fryalot · 26/03/2008 08:44

yep. Two weeks starting from yesterday

twas weird yesterday, in Manchester, as they were obviously back at school - dd1 got a few funny looks - was half expecting a truant officer to stop us (do they still have truant officers? wag man we used to call ours - not that I ever required his servies, I was a good girl, me - ish )

fryalot · 26/03/2008 08:45

fred - do you want to have a guess how far away from my mums house your wedding venue is?

Dropdeadfred · 26/03/2008 08:45

ours don't break up until fri this week

Thanks Phono....I hope you're right and I don't come back peeling like a lobster and fat from too much creamy pasta!!!

Marmite - how are things between you and DH now?

Egg - when do you lose your beloved Doula?

Squonk - clever clever littlies!!! And clever your mum for living so close to my wedding venue!!

marmitemad · 26/03/2008 13:15

DH and I had a better day yesterday (might be beacuse we were apart for 9 hours at work!).

docs rang earlier and pressurised me into booking dd for her MMR next wednesday. Nurse said there have been several cases of measles & mumps in the area and she ought to be covered soon, apparently the boosters can wait a while. Not sure how I feel about being told what to do .

just got back from a lovely swim, feel totally rejuvenated (prob for about 20min?)

Phono - I don't think you are being childish at all, stand your ground a bit longer.

well done Squonk's ds

Fred - I am already going to a wedding in Cheltenham on 9th Aug . did you lose your deposit from the old venue or did they refund it as it is their fault you have cancelled?

No Egg today , hope she's not gadding about having a real life (or having another tough day?)

Egg · 26/03/2008 14:48

Am here. Am alive. Feed time looming so can't stop but will drop in later. Excited about a WEDDING in August.........

OP posts:
fryalot · 26/03/2008 14:57

August is a lovely month for a wedding

isn't my mum fabby

marmite - I wouldn't worry about being told what to do - you can always say no, and they are probably just trying to give you advance warning of what could happen if dd doesn't get immunised.

phono - keep up the good work ignoring dh

egg - hellllloooooooooo

Egg · 26/03/2008 16:41

Right then. I will probably miss a few vital bits as have tried to skim what I missed...

Firstly how very very exciting that not only does Fred have a new wedding, but she gets to be tanned for it without spending about £30000000 on the Tanning Shop like I did (it was 7 years ago, I don't go near those sunbed places now ). I am definitely up for coming to the evening bash and being loud and lairy . Did you say it was a Sunday? I would have to convince DH to take the Monday off work so he can stay home with the DCs and I can come and relax, as don't think we can really leave all the DCs with anyone. Plus would be quite exciting to come on my own as long as I am not the only one. Was kind of hoping someone might want to share a hotel room with me that night maybe? Or is Squonk's mum putting us all up?????????????????????????????????????????

Marmite hope you have a good night tonight. Is it the whole family? Will other SIL be there (connor's mum)? How is she finding it? Imagine it is hard for her too although obviously 100 times worse for Eris's mum, esp with Connor being born so close to Eris.

Squonk down here (and with my sis too) the kids are back at school, and hols start on Mon 7 April. Was seeing something on the news the other day about some parents having to take FIVE WEEKS OFF to cover all their DCs hols!

Phono is it hard being at home with DP at the mo or are you just getting on with it. I hate it when DH and I are "not talking" although it is thankfully rare. Usually even if we argue at night we are ok in the morning. Strangely enough one of the biggest rows we ever had was yeeeeeeeeears ago when he let me down over a family get together. He never used to come to any of my family things, I informed him that a lot of the time it is MANDATORY.......

DS1 is feeling a bit low due to no poo now since Saturday . Wish he was like Squonk's DS who sounds like he is doing VERY well with the toilet business. My DS1 does like to sit on the loo, he pushes his willy downwards, sits there a while, then gets up and flushes (no wee though...).

Awwww poor lad has just run into the kitchen with a poo spasm again. It is heartbreaking. Wondering if we need to go back to see the doc. He keeps getting skidmarks on his nappy .

OP posts:
fryalot · 26/03/2008 16:47

aww, poor eggboy1

egg - am impressed that you have told ds to sit on the toilet with his willy pointing down. It took me a couple of fountain-type accidents before I figured that one out!

Have texted my mum and dropped hints about her moving out for that weekend, whilst still babysitting. She has not texted me back yet

Dropdeadfred · 26/03/2008 16:50

It's a saturday girls...no monday off needed Mr Egg!!!

ooops sorry Phono for non-reminder .

Called docs and got new prescription for lactulose that I can collect tomorrow. We do have some suppositories that he gave us last time but DS1 will be mortified and never forgive me. He doesn't even like pooing in front of me, let alone let me stick something up there.

DD has just pooed...

So good news that it's a Saturday night. Bad news that marmite and phono can't make it...

So Squonky, it's you and me! Is coming without your DP an option so we can go all out and have fun?? Even if you stay at your mums I can stay at a hotel nearby and we can share a taxi. Really would love to go.

Right, DS1 is off the sofa again for another attempt at holding it in...

He would no way try any tea...

DS2 is playing on the floor happily.

Better change DD.

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 26/03/2008 17:40

Egg asap I will get details of the Hotel that we will be doing a block booking with, the hotel then arranges a coach to collect take guests back there at the end of the night.

Phono, you haven't even met us yet so don't worry if the idea of attending a strangers wedding is a little OTT, but feel free to change your mind at amy time

Egg · 26/03/2008 17:44

Phono would you go if we could arrange for me to collect you somewhere and drive there together and go halves on hotel? It might not cost toooooooooooo much?

I guess maybe you want to wait til after Brighton to see if you even like us!!!
