Teaspoons. Where the hell do they go? especially when I never put them in anyone's packed lunch!

2happy · 04/03/2008 18:16

Remote controls, they vanish for days at a time. Perhaps the mice watch the tv while doing their nails and hair.

There's an invisible black hole in my kitchen .... all my DD's favourite crockery seems to go AWOL...

iamdingdong · 04/03/2008 18:17

I was just thinking about this this morning - where do all the hair slides and bobbles go? and socks?

Kathyis6incheshigh · 04/03/2008 18:18

It was me - I'm experimenting with a new tool for typing on Mumsnet without having to wear myself out running all over the keyboard.
I stand in a lump of blu-tak with an elastic band looped over my shoulder and attached to the emery board. The emery board is used to bash the key, which then pings back.

I have not got it working quite right yet.

Socks- I have a huge bag full of odd socks. Every so often I tip them out and tryn to make up some pairs but never get very far.
The other 2 things we can never find are scissors and hairbrushes

ArmadilloDaMan · 04/03/2008 18:52

nail scissors (we seem to have plenty of scissors - but all blunt).

Medicine spoons - but (and this is the creepy part) until you don't need them, when it turns out you have millions of th edamn things.

Teaspoons - Until I brought about 30 in one go. I haven't lost a single one since. The forks all disappear instead.

TV remotes.

Hair bands

Socks - but only 1 of a pair.

Teatowels - I go from having 20 to 1.

I bet it's the cats myself. It was acutally one of them stealing the socks. And knickers. And teatowels. But she's weird

We just have to find her secret stash now.

ArmadilloDaMan · 04/03/2008 18:53

*clippers not scissors.

We have plenty of nail clippers.

ArmadilloDaMan · 04/03/2008 18:56

Tupperware lids.

I have a cupboard full of tupperware.

And about 5 lids.

None of which match the tupperware.

After about 5 years I end up getting rid of it all and starting again.

So the cycle continues.

Oh and vanish in wash spray. I have bought about 5 bottles in the last 6 months. Lodger has bought 3. We have now finally managed to find one bottle between us. And argue over who it belongs to.

lou33 · 04/03/2008 18:57
